U are using it wrong. Hook it straight to the return of the effects loop and plug your guitar into the pedal input. The way u are using it u get an overload of high frequencies because of the preamp eq on the amp, use the return of the loop
U can use it both ways.... I know it to use with return, when using the front input of the amp you must also turn down to zero the presence at the CHUG and now you have no overload of high frequenzies...I show this way in this video, cause there are a lot of old amps with no send and return...stay tuned ✌
It is beyond me why anyone would think that we would want to spend 5 minutes watching someone cut away layer after layer of packaging. Oh, so that's how you use a razor knife to cut open that box from Amazon!😊.
Yes👍 actually I play my Marshall alone. I love the sweet tone too. But sometimes I need a Metal sound...and the CHUG is metal. A good alternative to the traditional rock sound.... I just use what I like in the moment....I think the CHUG is my metal generator with IR audio and mixer...or with a clean amp like this warwick bass amp gnome for example...Putting a device in front of a Marshall to make it better makes no sense (my opinion) the original Marshall always sounds best...only the reason to play with some crazy sounds, then everything goes...feel free to take a look at : th-cam.com/users/shortsg7zkk7wctCI?feature=share
Yes,true👍...but the Marshall Plexi with all knops at twelve and volume ( both volume for channel 1 and two) at 2 - 4 is like a linear power amp...it is like a high gain amp and the Chug in the return...thats why a Marshall have a lot of tone and very friendly with all kinds of pedals infront...

Also have it. In front. Set the treble and pressence to 0. I don't like it myself tough. Gain is to way to stiff.

Someone told me we should set the knobs at 0 to and use only pedals bass treble mids, presence.
