Thank you so much for tuning in, and enjoying the demos! I'm having a ton of fun with them. It allows me to nerd out on gear with you guys, and share a passion that I love 🙂
Looks like it's different with the Soldano Slo pedal. Many thought it's good in fx loop as preamp . But looks like it will sound good in front of a clean pedal friendly preamp. Thanks for the review! The lead guitarist in my band will be using the Chug, while me will use the Soldano Pedal for tonal variation in the band mix. Can't wait for the two pedal to arrive.
Yeah its great either way! At least it worked great for me haha. Great idea with the different tones for you, and your lead guitarist. If your lead guitarist needs a little extra gain on top of the Chug pedal you might be able to throw a tube screamer in front of it. Just lower the treble, and presence a little on the chug because of the tubescreamer adding for high frequency detail. Thank you so much for tuning in, and enjoying the video 🙂
Not a problem at all! I used the Wait For No Man IR from the Downtuned pack. I love the Bogren IRs they're always awesome. Really glad you enjoyed the tone, and thank you so much for watching too! 😎
Great video and playing man 🤘, I am wondering 2 things about the pedal. Can it be used through something like the flamma fx 100 ?, which is basically a cheaper version of say a mooer or something like that, I always call it my pedal board or fx pedal. Second, I’m using that fx pedal into an frfr speaker, could this pedal be put straight into the frfr since it’s not technically an amp? Thx , Wes
Good question Wes! As long as you're able to turn the Amp section of your Flamma off and just used the Cab IR section I see no issues that you'd have using the Chug with it. If the Amp section of the Flamma is left on with the chug in front of it. You'll get a ton of noise, and not the best tone that you can get. For the FRFR speaker that should work beautifully! Most FRFR speakers that I know will amplify the sound just with a flat response so no tonal influence on your overall tone. I hope this helps! If you get the chug pedal please let me know how it works for you. Thank you so much for tuning in, and enjoying 🙂
@@HighImpaktAudio thanks for the quick reply and great advice. If I could I have 1 more question, I’ve actually tried to order the chug, but every credit card I’ve tried won’t go through since the chug is overseas. I’ve never run into this issue before. Any advice on a different strategy lol ? Thx again
@Wes Lehman that's weird that your cards are having issues. If Solar takes paypal or another payment method might be able to check that out, or even go onto Reverb.com and see what is posted on there. People might have put some up for sale. Thank you so much Wes. Not a problem at all!
I couldn't find the wattage, but the max output is 5DBU if that helps. As far as gig ready I would definitely pair it with something like a Seymour Duncan Powerstage to get the volume that you need. Though this pedal was alot louder than I expected forsure! Is it the EVH stealth that you're talking about? I'm not familiar with the term "negro sound". The EQ is really powerful on this little guy so I really don't see any issue dialing in the right sound for you. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching!
That's interesting to hear. Thank you for letting me know! At least with my amps it created a ton of noise though I did have the gain up on both the pedal, and amp. A clean amp I could see it working pretty nice, or even maybe gain down on the pedal and gain up on the amp. I'll have to test a few other amps. Thank you so much for tuning in, and watching 🙂
i'll have to watch this one Chris. The YT algorithm is f'kd. Your video should have showed up in my feed given i watch a lot of guitar vids, i own 5 fucking Solar guitars, etc. meh
Got one last week for £100 off ebay UK... Running it into a Helix rack with an EQ and a TS Turbo. It sounds huge!!
On my Christmas wish list! Great demo thanks!
Thank you so much for tuning in, and enjoying my video!
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get it for Christmas 🙂
Sounds pretty neat really. Don't hear anything wrong with it. It's quite affordable and sturdy housing for years of chug pleasure..
The demo was SICK! Awesome playing, man. Chug may not be on my immediate purchases list but I'm loving the demos so far

It sounds really okay. Thanks for the info.

May I ask what bodren exactly? Because your tone is like my 7 string dream... hahaha.

What's not to love?! Lol
It's all love right here in this pedal! I love this thing!

Dude, I need this box! How many watts is it? Is it frequency compatible? Gig friendly? Can it get the famed EVH "negro sound?" Asking for a friend

It's like the pedal speaks to you......
I can absolutely agree with that 😂
Thank you so much for watching!
Or almost like the pedal acts as his voice while he is speaking to you
@@eTERNIAN69 could be.. no one will know the truth 🙄 😂
In my case it works better when connect in the front of the amp. Working just as distortion pedal.
That's interesting to hear. Thank you for letting me know!
