Watch out for marriage fraud and marriages of convenience.
This is where an officer suspects that your relationship is not genuine and you’re just sponsoring someone to get PR status.
Here are 3 things to avoid:
1️⃣ Photos of just you and your spouse, especially a lot of selfie photos.
Officers want to see you with friends, family, and in different locations.
Selfie photos that don’t show a lot of background or have you wearing the same clothing can easily raise a red flag.
2️⃣ Your stories don’t match up in an interview.
If you’re called into an interview, the officer will separately ask you questions about your relationship.
If your answers are different and your stories don’t line up, that’s a big red flag.
3️⃣ You don’t provide enough evidence of your relationship.
