Just wondering how the audio was this time around? I used the Meze boom mic instead of the Rode or the lapel mic this time. I am hoping it was clearer. let me know if you noticed a difference!
@@Qboro66 yeah I noticed that too. The Meze mic has analogue volume control. I will make sure it’s higher and I think I’ll use the foam cover to cut the ssss a little bit next time. Thank you for letting me know!
@@prithvi9727 yes. I definitely did not have the volume up enough. Luckily the Meze mic had plenty of headroom left on it, so I’ll try it again today for the S08 review!
wow! need giveaway of this set 😍😍 while the 1000 dollars smart phones coming with lesser and lesser accessories every year, these IEM brands keeping it balanced!
Fantastic review! I kicked around buying or not buying this set ever since it released. If they go down to 120ish, I may buy. I heard that the Z12 is similar, and I have the Z12 that I bought for 120.
Nicely conveyed .. is how I would call your review of these beauties 👏 Thanks. Are these good for smaller ear canals? And how are these for Rock music? Thanks again .. Cheers 🤘
@@prithvi9727 the ergonomics are fantastic. The nozzles are not small, but the fit should be no problem for the vast majormajority of people. My wife’s ear canals are really small (like almost x small for some tip styles) and they were comfy for her. And as far as Rock goes, they are stellar. I worry about the planars being too bright and hot for rock and metal sometimes, but that’s not the case here. Or on the S08 for that matter.
@@BassDad8 Thank you for that, all points noted .. again, neatly explained. I hope I get my hands (& my small ears) on these since these are limited edition. Cheers!!!
@@baaltroth1957 they’ve been in my saved items for a year now. My tipping point is $125. If they ever hit that price, I’m buying them. So far $160 is as low as I’ve seen them. And I have zero doubt they are worth it, but there’s only so much time and money ya know? Still… I’m keeping my eye on them! Wish I’d picked up the OG Wu when I had the chance too!!!
@@NASSER-cy5jj never tried the Z-tuned edition, but I’d say that the 2024 is going to be a different experience. The way they were able to polish and add some finesse without sacrificing technical performance at all… freaking impressive. But I am going from the Pro, not the Z. 🤷🏼♂️
I have both. The 2024 is much better imo, better balanced, natural, plays back everything like it should sound. Bass is also much better on the 2024, at least with wide bore feaulle h570 tips. It sounds quite a bit like the hype 4 tbh. You could eq the z12 to the 2024 if you are into eq.
I previously bought this and 2 days later the right one started making weird sounds. I returned them and they refund me. I am waiting for my second unit because i like this thing very much!
dude. now I have the S08 in with Kid Cudi playing. Letshuoer seems to have solved the "planar bass" issue somehow. Both sets hit very hard and very deep. I really think you will be fine.
@@BassDad8the only planar I have used is the Nicehck F1 Pro. I guess it really depends on how well they slam when it comes to metal. I know they can keep up with the speed though
@@roguegorilla8981 the f1 pro is a solid set, but has textbook speedy bass without a ton of weight or impact. The T10 has way more and I’d say the S12 2024 approaches that level, but still stays pretty freaking precise. It’s tactile. It’s heavy and it slams your chest. Maybe not like a true full on basshead DD, but it’s damn close. If you want to just “try” a planar set with significant bass, grab the T10 for $50 or so the next time it’s on sale. You’re gonna hate the shell, but at least it’s small.
@@BassDad8 solid review once again. i'm curious if you ever got around to trying the foams. I know some people swear by them on planars. What other benefits do they give besides a better seal?
@@t.dsmith8619 so pretty much it’s the improvement of sound isolation. I was not and am not a big fan of the bluntness. The planars do a good job of cutting through, but they still sound off. Double checked seal and insertion depth is pretty standard. To me foams just take too much compared to what they give. I’ll check the other stock tips while I am at it
@@BassDad8 hahah. I've started doing that with $5-10 gems. One to mod, one to keep stock.
