Awesome review! I haven't tried a planar yet. However, I think I will start with the Artti T10 as I have seen it at very affordable prices. I did not realize that Artti was affiliated with Letshouer. That is pretty cool!
100% agree on that!!! I have the standard velvet tips on the Meze Alba right now. They just seem to work for every set. I have yet to find a set the Velvet tips don't work well with, or actually improve.
I like the s08 with penon liqueur orange. For me the og velvets darken it up a bit and the wide bores tame the bass too much for a planar (I love them on hybrids though). Also the penons never slide out, but neither do the og velvets tbh.
@@someoneusa saw an “open box” Kinera Urd for $229 on eBay today. I literally had to slap myself across the face to stop myself from buying it on sight. lol!!!
I think I'll end up getting the S08 at some point. No doubt it's an excellent choice for the price. I wish the subbass didn't roll off but that's a minor thing overall. Thank you for another great review! 👍
I love the mp145, but the s12 2024 is like an improved version of that with the rose gold nozzle. Mp143 does look more in line with the s08 though….just like 3 times the size lol.
Another awesome review on another IEM that I have on my wishlist. I have almost come to the conclusion that I need to spend bigger money to satisfy my taste. I almost feel like I'm in the 100-300 dollar black hole of IEM'S. Idk what to do. HBB did an unboxing of a set from a new company called Zempire. They have the bass, but I'm not sure about everything else. I'm going to hold for a month or so before I make anymore blind purchases. Maybe 😆
@@jamesberryman9893 why don’t I just go for the $380 Hype 4? Why don’t I go for the $425 Norn? Or the Tea Pro? Or the Mega5EST? Because the ripple effect will be detrimental to channel content and for most people, the cutoff is $300. Why? Because there are so many great options!! Part of me just wants to say F it and grab something $400-$600… but I just get such joy in finding sets that over-perform that most people can reach price-wise. Well that and I love variety. And I’m fully addicted to this stuff now lol! It’s tough. I wish I could tell you that set x for $$$ will be your endgame, but I can’t. I don’t even know what my endgame set is. Or if I even have an endgame…
I'm gonna keep saying this T10 with a 300-400 grade filter makes a huge difference in how organic the bass sounds. Take away the 2 k peak and it's just another level of goodness. If you have T10 try this before buying another set. Without the filter the bass is fun and impactful but does not satisfy like a DD. Sounds like an AI interpretation of bass, lol, a good try but not quite enough to satisfy a basshead. It however does not take away from how much I enjoyed the T10 after I got used to it.
aliexpress. Search for earphone tuning filters, they are around $2 for 20.. Or get the Simgot DIY kit for $8. I have one on the way even though I don't own a Simgot. It's a great deal for the variety you get. If I ever do I'll have a couple spare nozzles 😊
@@wana.me003 Def let me know what u think. And if you do end up with S8, also would be curious for comparison. My thoughts are that the S8 is probably warmer and not as resolving due to the tuning and driver. These I think would sound more like the S12 2024 but that's just my guess. They were back up in price so I couldn't get them. Maybe one day. My best friend is getting me a measuring rig for my bday, just gotta figure out what I want. Can't wait to measure all my mods 😁
@@someoneusa Update time! You were right! I slapped those filters on and damnit you were right! It sounds like a totally different beast! I slapped a 350 on it. It's heavenly!!
with the gold "HBB" nozzles in, absolutely they do. I would rank them about equal with the silver nozzles in, however. And I do prefer the silver nozzles on the EW300 because there is no bass-bleed, but it still provides a more than satisfying experience in the lower frequencies. I think I need to pick up a total basshead set soon. I hear the Dynaquattro leans in that direction and obviously the FatfreqxHBB Deuce does... But I was really impressed with both the quality and quantity of the bass on the S08. It really does hit hard. Harder than most planar magnetic sets I have experienced.
@@BassDad8 hmmm, that's cool to hear since I'm into some good sub-bass rumble and quick heavy mid bass punch. Both the ew300s and s08s as well as Supermix4 and Explorer are in my 'interested' list. Have you tried the 7hz Legato? It's an affordable basshead set ppl have said some good things about.
@@Divionistlegato is underrated with wide bore tips. I still listen to mine and it sounds great. Lots of rumble, but the midbass is a bit on the softer side.
