I'm also concerned at the use of rubber bands in the construction of the wings. Rubber bands perish. David, I hope you take your time with the 1989 Batmobile because it was an incredible LEGO experience on its own, one set that is going to stand the test of time.

I don't know... I think I am gonna pass... I love the batwing but I am not convinced with this set... the wall feature is a plus but a little forced because it sacrifice the accuracy... I think that the design was too focused on making it look good from above but there is 0 accuracy when you look at it from the side. This model is too flat compared with the real thing... and it is like if it was not proportionated... actually batwing is smaller... it has a more compact shape when you see it from the side. This is like if it was flattened... specially when you focus your atention to the front... and like others pointed out before me... I am shocked that they were not able to make possible any feature to introduce the machine guns inside the batwing U-U
I have the 1989 lego batmobile, wasn't interested in this set, but keep seeing it, just, other sets keep coming, the space I have is running out, and lego is just getting so expensive now. It's not something lots of us can just go out and buy everytime they release a new set.
I really wish they would’ve done a smaller version as a gift with purchase again like they did last years with the Batmobile. I was at my Lego store at 530am last year on Black Friday for the release of the Batmobile, and I have the day off on October 21st this year to get this too, thankfully not at 530am in the morning again though lol. Very excited for this set though! I’ve already made a space for it to hang on the wall!
@@cjd99201 that’s not what I mean though, look up set #40433, when they released the UCS Batmobile last year they made a small version of it that was a free gift with purchase for buying the big one, that was the only way you could get it and it’s worth a ton of money now. I have two of them sealed in the box still. It’s not the small one that was for sale everywhere, it’s a different set that Lego only gave out for a few days when the 1989 Batmobile came out last year
I know that. I bought the ucs batmobile as well. I was giving an alternate incase they dont. They also released a smaller batmobile set that looked alot like the version that was given as a free set.
IMO it's too big not super interesting - basically a giant monolith of lego in the shape of the batman symbol. It would be more compelling if the guns and balloon grabber thing popped out like on the lego batmobile.

HKHughee batwing is definitely a better looking set display wise, and this is coming from some who preferred Star Wars way more then Batman, get the batwing
I regret buying it it’s rlly annoying the blocks keep popping out and every time I try placing a block on top of a block I can’t because it’s not straight I haven’t finished it and probably never will.
It looks absolutely fantastic! My only wish was that they included the bat claw function (used to capture the balloons in the movie). I like that they included Lawrence, but I think Bob would have been the most logical choice! I don’t like the use of rubber bands to hold pieces in, as I’m always curious how long they will last before they break (or if they do). Great review!
Only reason to watch this guy is he got the video out before the others but the lack of comparison with the 1989 batmobile, not showing the wall mount feature, not showing the instruction manual, and poor depth review just killed the "review" quality.

@@Turambar3791 Ah I see, that the back is very flat to hang on a wall. The pincer comes from just below the nose and would stick out a bit underneath.
