3M Command Bat Strips.
I like how the 2x2 round tile pieces in the wing assembly isn't just plain tiles. They could of used any color as you won't see them but they gave us the yellow with the bat on them.
From the first notes of Danny Elfman's score, this movie had me hooked. Gotham's cityscape, THE definitive batmobile, Jack Nicholson... It had everything! I was 13 in 1989 and for me it's the superhero movie by which all others are judged.
"Did you know that Michael Keaton actually couldn't turn his head in those movies, because of the design of the cowl?"
Aaaccctuallly Jang... None of the Batmans (Batmen?) in the movies could turn their heads because of the cowls until 'Dark Knight' when they finally went "wait, hang on... he can't turn his head. That's probably not a good design for fighting!"

This set is incredibly huge. I feel like it could be the same price as the 1989 Batmobile and it would still be worth a solid value

Ordered this as my reward for finishing my Masters degree. It's going to look so awesome next to my 1989 Batmobile and Classic Batmobile.
Wish I had been into Lego when the Tumbler was available. Oh well!

I wish they were releasing the Batmissle this Black Friday instead of a new UCS Tumbler, and the Batskijet next year to complete the Tim Burton Batman vehicles. Heck, do Penguin's duck car too!

There's not much I can add to this review, but it really is impressive! And the fact that you can hang it to a wall is very cool, no need to modify it in any way, awesome review, Jang!

Maybe your head is just very little and the set is small 🤔 If I loved Batman as much as I like the set, I would buy it.

Built it on the weekend. Its "heftiness" is its best feature. Got to find a suitable wall upon which to display it. Great reveiw as always!

In regards to the scuffs and scratches on clear LEGO pieces, could the same compound/technique we use to remove fine scratches from vehicle headlights fix them?

I just completed my batwing last Friday night and you are right it is stout and your gripes about the display are truly valid will be going up on the wall in my room where everything else is displayed (wife won't let me display in master bedroom )
Just finished this set yesterday. I honestly did not enjoy building this thing as much as the batmobile. Many parts felt like a chore to build. The final results are really good as a model and I’m glad I have this to go next to the batmobile. Just like the batmobile, people may not realize it’s a lego set at first. I’ll be hanging this on my wall a little later. My opinion, just wish it had come with Bob or Alfred instead of the goon we got. Maybe even the Joker with the painted face and purple beret.
How did you get the bottom large black panels to hold? I got 3/4 through the build and the bottom plating started popping out.

All those stickers in the cockpit a set this desirable and price is very disappointing just wait till they start to peel awful !
I have this set and it is insane. It is one of the best lego sets in my collection. I highly recommend buying it.
The Boom box goon is hilarious.
Well,the upside is it looks cool,it's big,it's weighty,it's a real show piece. The downside is it's expensive,takes up a lot of space,isn't really minifig compatible,and you can't really play with it. This is why I got the Batwing from the Batman Batwing & The Riddler Heist (76120). It's small,easy to handle,minifig compatible,and much cheaper while still being a great model. Though the problem with that set is they put a bunch of "filler" in it.
I'd say what they should've done with that set is just have the Batwing,fast,cheap,done. If they're going to make it a set,I'd have lost Gordon,Shazam,the cop car,and the chopper and just focused on giving Riddler a better get away vehicle. Like that Riddler car they gave him for one of the other sets. Frankly,if you want the Batwing from that set cheap,I'd just download the instructions and part it out.
But in the end,this is a great showpiece if that's what you're looking for and you're a huge Lego fan.
It would be funny if some LEGO loving writer for DC made the white head band canonical. "Of course I wear a head band, I can't exactly take off this thing when I get sweaty..."

Why is Lego still using "headband" style Batman. A dual molded cowl with white eyes would allow for a full printed head with no obstructions.
Jang , your a gun , most of my kit purchases are based on your reviews , even though I’m a massive Star Wars fan , I love your intel and need much more of it on Star Wars to purchase more current kits but even more old ucs kits , I’m annoyed at the prices of original kits and am opting for lepin or mould king because there kits are to me pretty amazing , but right now have only genuine lego in my selection , but again not happy with the over priced lego originals , help me please!

Hola Jang! They have a 4 inch line of Batman figures at Walmart/Target and Im wondering, do u think a figure that size would fit in that cockpit? Just curious.
Let's just say it... these sets are like a line of UCS sets for the Batman genre. And they are so much better value than the UCS Star Wars sets, and with more (and better) figures. This is when Lego has done something oh so right!

The model looks pretty good for the most part but I can’t stand that canopy. It’s shape is completely wrong. It’s supposed to be a single curved surface, not a cone and and cylinder stacked together. It completely breaks this model for me. Wish they made an exclusive part for it, like they did for the batmobile.
But can you snap it over your knee?

Point is the set number is a unique identifier whereas many sets share the same or almost the same name.
