IMO this is creatively one of the best Lego sets... possibly in decades. Lego sets - at least the most adult geared ones tend to be big and bulky. If you are a collector, then its an ongoing challenge to find space & display. This can easily become wall art for scale, display and interest. The fact that you can open up and play, in itself is a huge bonus given the design concept. It captures the world of Batman and the color scheme of the Batcave with the darkness beautifully. Is it pricey... Sure! But so is everything Lego now. This set is defining as it could be the start of a new range of themed display sets. Imagine a few of these on walls of shelves! Yes dust! But that's bane of all Lego sets. This one is easy to secure and protect without elaborate casing. For me, this is just scratching the surface of what Lego can potentially do in the future. Its sleek, modern and brings a new versatility to its range not seen in a very long time. Well done Lego and specifically to its designer for thinking that the box itself would be "out of the box"!
When the box is enclosed, you can't see the Batman logo silhouette well. The background is to dark. I don't know if this is a camera thing or if this is also so in real life. but if it is, I think this set is a failure. The whole idea of the set hinges on how it looks from the outside, and that doesn't seem to work.
I would love to see this style of set made with Avengers Campus or Tony Stark House with all the Iron Man suits.... I wonder how many 90s kids would love this but for the Legends of the Hidden Temple TV show.
I know Lego will probably never make it but I would love to see a massive semi minifigure scale batcave from the Christopher Nolan films that can fit the ucs tumbler. Something like that would be really cool but knowing Lego it will probably never happen. I could make a moc of it someday
I will get this but there was really no excuse for not having a few more figures, there were plenty across both movies like Vicki Vale, Joker, and a couple clowns. A set with the end scene Penguin hideout with the Bat flying boat, etc.
Honestly , I love the shadow box look. For someone who has a modern interior . It really fits the modern approach . I always found the regular Lego set looks kind of gimmick and not modern enough …. If that makes any sense . The sense of reveal and the unassuming interior is so unique . I would proudly display this in my living room without it looking to childish . It is defiantly one of the more sophisticated looking Lego set .
i recently got this set and im about to finish it this is one of the best building experiences ive had this set is super fun with tons of cool techniques, get it before it retires. the only bad thing i have to say about this is that there are super cool details thaat get covered up when closed, but atleast it still looks nice. also it shouldve came with the feature to drop bruce wayne and then out comes batman, like with the old batcaves

This set needs 5 - 10 clown baddies for this price. They basically took a $200 play set and threw it in a $200 box.
I’d like to see them make another one that is the same opening concept but sits on top and is the Wayne mansion.
Holy fingerprints Batman!
Get rid of the front part and cut the price down to $200-$250 would’ve been much better
Or use the front for a floor atleast
I know Lego will probably never make it but I would love to see a massive semi minifigure scale batcave from the Christopher Nolan films that can fit the ucs tumbler. Something like that would be really cool but knowing Lego it will probably never happen. I could make a moc of it someday
Super cool set. Not a real Batman fan, but this set is fantastic.
Cool set I like the mechanics 7:15
I will get this but there was really no excuse for not having a few more figures, there were plenty across both movies like Vicki Vale, Joker, and a couple clowns. A set with the end scene Penguin hideout with the Bat flying boat, etc.
Missing the large penny and robot dinosaur
Yeah idk I thought about getting Rivendell set but this is a bit cheaper and I’m a big Batman fan also I have room for this set
Everyone seems to miss the point of the grates at the top, it’s so you can light it.
I would love the 18+ Animated Batman Series Batmobile ❤
Im not really a batman fan but this is actually really cool, i might have to consider getting this at some point if a local store has it on sale
Great review SolidBrix Dude.
Imagine getting 6 of them and making a huge circle bat cave! Just add different vehicle's and Figures
I want lego to produce more Batman sets but based on the Arkham games. How incredible would that be (it will drain my savings) 😅
That’s fucking awesome
A Batman the animated series batcave would have been epic
makes me think of the mos eisley cantina with opening up
A great review as always. This set is great and will be picking one up next Friday when double VIP comes around.
I've just bought this set 😁 I'm waiting for the weekend to start building it 😅
Hey. I have been watching you for years and just decided to pop by and your setup for theses videos now is epic. Also the set is cool I would get it if it was a bit cheaper since I would rather use the money on a StarWars set. Anyways have a nice day :D
I assume the grilles on the top are to let light filter in. It would be completely dark inside and you couldn't see any details without it
