Your video appeared in my feed. I loved it. I have never seen a lambretta in the US, I do occasionally see a Vespa. But other than the 60’s vintage 2-stroke that my brother restored, most are the modern four-stroke models. I was amused by your welding skills when sorting the leg shield, but then genuinely impressed with your repair of the outriggers. I am always worried about blow-through when welding on such rusted material. Thank you for the video.
I remember when I was tuning my Series II Li150 back in 1968... Ancilotti oversized piston with the barrel bored out to 180cc, ports polished and timing advanced. Standard crankshaft with cork Araldited into the holes in the webs to increase primary compression, which I see your crankshaft has been designed to do. That thing would exceed 80mph, and could get 150 mpg if you didn't rag it! Ancilotti exhaust, TV175 gears, 24mm DellOrto carburettor, SX200 crankcase pivot and bearings (got rid of a lot of vibration, improved stability - as I've just noticed you have!)... this is bringing back a lot of memories, thanks!

If you watch the video I clean it totally inside by leaving white vinegar in it for a couple of weeks… it desolves the rust and after you wash it/jet wash it out it’s like new again… see video footage…

Yeah it has customised itself really!- it’s cool as…. When I saw this for sale people were laughing at it and saying ‘scrap it’ or ‘it needs to much work to restore’…. I saw something completely different in it…..
I sell the occasional ones yes… I have too many really and not enough room!
