Great video, very funny! I had a 198 mugello and 28mm dellorto on my Li special. Great kit, but i kept changing from a JL3 to an Ancillotti all the time, as i preferred the grunt from a box pipe
12:00 minutes in and you reminded me I needed a new set of feeler gauge. I returned 2mins later after ordering said gauges from a well known S. American river... Carry on

Back when I bought my 1961 Series II Widestyle in 1968, pretty much identical to this one, the rims and tyres were sold complete (about £8 as I recall)...

Like it. It was fitting you called the extra reflective bit, "Futurenaory" as calling it "Pastanaory" would have firstly made me hungry, secondly confused some people in to thinking the video was a Master Chief type program (easily done after watching it) and lastly you don't have the Italian accent for it. (Although it would have kept it in the Latin theme 😉). With reference to spark plugs, a wise man once said to me, "keep it simple stupid!" He'd never owned a Lambretta though! KFC ✊
p.s. I'm always saying to my Mr's, "I'd like to do more stuff, but I don't have the tools". After the way you wheeled that disc cutter around carboard and sellotape, I now know what I'm buying to hang the curtains!!
@@flagman9000 yeah I used to use them all the time (even buying an original paint gp from them in the 00s) but I don’t get much from them anymore and I’ve no idea why not because they are excellent…: will use them more from now on though..
@@teampacemaker The red GP in their window sold for nearly £15k They sourced me an original red GP earlier this year. Original paint underneath panels and re painted well on outside of panels. Still the patina on your S2 is lovely. Please can we get part 4 ha ha

@@exsoulagent yeah frustrating… someone had offered to make me the packer on their lathe… I just needed to know the thickness… I phoned ve and spoke to rob and explained the circumstances- ie I was leaving for a euro rally in 2 days and needed that measurement because I had someone lined up to make it… he said he’d ring me back later that afternoon….. ….. I was still hoping for the call as i drove to Camb lamb… nothing…. 🙄
@@RetroYamaha ideally we try to run without any headgasket just stud and bearing fix for a sealer… but depending on the squish they can/do need an solid alu gasket of various thicknesses with a sealer

Ribbed for pleasure & a quality box what can go wrong? Gremlins or Chinlins... I usually swear by NGK plugs not at them. Great vid Mark.

@@bobhacking1431 yeah someone else has mentioned this- did you watch it on a laptop?… it comes out fine on my phone but obvs the speakers aren’t as good/complex?… anyway the mic I’m using is good quality it seems to pick up/switch to the background noises… I’ve got a new blue tooth one the clips onto your shirt for next time hopefully that’ll sort it…
No on a smart TV in my garage, don't usually have a problem, but as I said it's only a suggestion, stop replying to comments and get on with the next one :)

@@exsoulagent yeah frustrating… someone had offered to make me the packer on their lathe… I just needed to know the thickness… I phoned ve and spoke to rob and explained the circumstances- ie I was leaving for a euro rally in 2 days and needed that measurement because I had someone lined up to make it… he said he’d ring me back later that afternoon…..

Does it run a O ring instead of a head gasket on these ?
@@RetroYamaha ideally we try to run without any headgasket just stud and bearing fix for a sealer… but depending on the squish they can/do need an solid alu gasket of various thicknesses with a sealer
