Couple of things those aren’t driles and slotted rotors ….you’ve got the endlink installed incorrectly the bottom needs to be flipped the 1ton steering is great but you need to relocate the track bar you can get it from trail forge relocation bracket for track bar and get the track bar well worth it for the hemi joints speed 250 and change all the joint to metal lock bushing setup way different ride and quiet
Don't forget you can pull a 231 tc out of a Dodge truck and it bolts right up. Plus sye kits are half ! the price of sye kits for 242 tc. If I remember correctly , the 242 tc can handle 600ftlbs torque and the 231 from the Dodge trucks are rated at 1,300. The 231 also has the wide chain and you can also put a 6 planetary in it . Do a quick Google search tho for the right year of truck to wj .

I think you should buy wjs and fix em up for the channel, with the overlanding craze in full swing you could buy broken wjs for a few hundred lift em up , fix the death wobble n sell em for a few thousand. theres way too many ending up in the junk yards these days😫

@@dylansgarage3549 There's actually a guy here in town (Kenosha Wisconsin ) who imports clean wj's from Texas . He puts new 2in springs in them and new Bilstein shocks . Usually you can see half his inventory is wj's. This is a small operation tho , of about 20 vehicles any given time. Now that there getting harder to find , it looks like he's moving to all jeeps in general. Drove past a week ago and only seen 3 on the lot. Fyi- I worked at the Kenosha engine plant building the 4.0l in these. I've probably built over 5,000 motors during it's run.
@@immelting9834 o wow that’s awesome I’ve only built one lol the one in mine but I work at a shop and I’ve done my fair share of work on them heads head gaskets a lot of the bad casting heads I’ve had cracked come into the shop I have the tupy head on mine when I built the motor I grabbed one
Did you put the engine in yourself? If so be sure the crank position sensor is in time, this has to be done with a professional scan tool. If the crank position sensor isn't in time it will loose horse power. The toothpick is just to get it close enough to run. I'm running 456 on 32's its not going to go to the drag strip, but it moves down the freeway, like a raised 80's jeep. The I6 doesn't have enough horsepower to push heavy wheels at high speed, there is a price to be paid for lowering the ratio. Lowering the ratio robbs speed for power, so going to 488 you'll probably go from from 65 mph to 55 - 60 mph top end . The I6 is designed to give tremendous amounts of low end torque, and that is what you really want off road. V engines tend not to have as much low end torque. If the I6 won't move with just enough rpm to fill the torque converter, more throttle probably won't help.
@@dylansgarage3549 Awsome, I drove around for a long time before I figured that one out when the engine started missing at higher speeds. Suddenly there was power more like the old engine! I know it's never going to run 75 mph all day long like it did from the factory, but it didn't crawl like this from the factory either. Removing the fan in the winter interesting idea. May pick up a little MPG there. Calli can get warm in the winter though, in the 80's now.

I have to cause I have a tuner on it but your 4.7 ho does greatly benefit from premium I had a friend that had a wj with that engine I think even in owners manual it recommends premium

I'm looking at a WJ build but I want the 4.7 HO and do a lift and T-Case swap to select-trac.
There really rare but some 4.7 came select trac idk about the ho but I know the standard did they use a different t case then the 4.0 tho it’s a 242hd

I have 7 02-04 overlands and all overlands have woodgrain steering wheels. you just have a limited one.

I live in southeast Wisconsin. These wj's go for thousands already with 200k on the OD . That's with a decent body and interior.
