2 years later and still saving lives good sir. Watched just your video went to the store and bought the parts. An hour later I have a running dishwasher!! Thank you!
You are Very Welcome!
Thank you so much for this video! I'm so grateful for the step by step instructions. I spent 2 weeks without a dishwasher, and now it's working again. Woo hoo!
Wonderful! I am Glad My Video Helped! Thanks For Watching!
My GE Profile Dishwasher had exactly the same problem as the one in your video so your advice helped me tremendously. I checked the door latch for continuity and it appeared to be working fine but I was still getting the yellow blinking light indicating an open door. I already had a replacement main control board on hand from a repair I did a couple of years ago when I ordered the wrong part by mistake. So I quickly replaced the board just like you did and my dishwasher started working again just fine. Thanks so much! You obviously know your appliances!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for Watching!
I'm fixing mine later today by having a Bosh dishwasher installed that should take care of it
I worked for a GE dealer for 40 years. For a Professional Tech, you can get " Smart HQ " hardware/ software scanner, and it will give you diagnostics, where you can often update the software, and find fault codes, unless there is a component that actually broke . The door latch is easy to test and was a waste of money for the customer.
I just unplug the power connector. It is a lot easier. Also leave it unplugged for a while then plug it back in and see what happens. Also check to see if the green light in the main board is flashing. If it is your in business, if it just stays on it means you need a new control board. Excellent video on replacing these parts.
This comment saved my bacon!
thank you so much. my GE dishwasher stopped working, even after I turned it on/off again from my electrical panel so many times. Saved me $$$ from having to call a repair man over.
You’re welcome thanks for watching my video👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
Excellent video! Did the repair myself today and back in business. This was a great, straightforward, no-nonsense how-to video. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching my video💯💯👍🏻👍🏻
Trouble shooting for this problem:
1. Unplug/pull circuit breaker for dishwasher. Wait 2 minutes, try to start.
2. Replace switch
3. Replace main circuit board
Thanks to uploader of this video for the great demo of replacing the board. Just don't be like me, and hand wash dishes for a week before trying to unplug and plug the thing back in. Free to try, and will save you a lot of trouble!
Thank you!! My dishwasher had this exact problem and I was able to fix it myself because of your video
You’re welcome thanks for watching my video👍🏻👍🏻💯💯
Great job with this video. There's another 1-2 I've seen about this repair, but yours includes much more detail. I have the stainless steel version of this exact dishwasher and I get no lights at all on the display. I'm 99% sure the Control Board needs to be replaced. This does take some skill, but I'd guess that having it done professionally would cost $200-$300 - or more.
might be the board in top of door mine was
Thank you very much. Not super handy but you made this an easy project.
You’re welcome thanks for watching my video👍🏻👍🏻💯🎉
Great video thank you sooo much my problem was doorlatch great solved for 28 dollars 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much! Saved me a service call!
Worked for me! Just let it run through the pump out cycle
Just what I needed, many thanks
You're welcome! I am Glad My Video Helped! Thanks for Watching.
Thank you . That helped me fix my issue
Thank you!
Thank you very much
where can i order these same parts mine broke today
I only have trouble w the blinking light after a power interrupt. Unplugging to reset doesn't work all the time. If it was a board it would never work
Good stuff boss!
Thanks for watching my video 💯💯👍🏻
I did something different: I noticed when I pressed the "START" button and waited a few seconds, it would give the three beeps and start flashing again....but it would do this only after a 2 or 3 seconds. So after pressing "START" I immediately closed the door before it could start flashing again and for the time being, it seems to have started and running it's cycle! Guess we'll see how long this workaround lasts.
I replaced main control board it worked a couple months then it quit again replaced latched and it worked about another 2 months now it is flashing and won’t work again.
It’s either Ui board, main board or latch from what I’m seeing online
Why do you have a foot long bit in your drill.
It's handy with the basket being in the way. Long bit allows one to reach threw the basket.
Turn off the circuit breaker for two min. I saved the cost of a latch and a circuit board.
thank you!!! it worked for me as well! Ralph Leary also thank you to the man that did the video so I could find this
Didn’t work for me
cost for the BOARD?
Mine did this one the very first use. Brand new just installed and plastic removed. Just a poor brand.
My question is....Why in the hell does this board only last about two years? That's BS!
What I found is that sometimes it just go bad for uses or roaches Pee on the board!
@@DIYRepairsNow Why is it that I unplug it and plug it back in and then it works?
The board has components and one of them it’s capacitors those capacitors contain power when the capacitor goes bad is because they are now maintaining power but sometimes when you turn it off or disconnect it and plug it back in the capacitor gets power because it’s like a reset and that is why it will start working intermittently
@@DIYRepairsNow Maybe I should just change the capacitors then.
Yes, you should just change the capacitor. In our case. We ask the customer if he wants to repaired or replace it most of the time they would say replace it because they would get three months warranty on the replacement and labor
My display isn't coming on at all totally not working
If you are getting power to the boy, you need a new main control board
GE used to be a reliable brand I guess not anymore
For the record I already replaced the main computer board and it worked good for 2 weeks but then died that's enough
