Videos and lists like this are as important as best of ones. These companies we give so much of our $$$ to need to be praised when they do great work and also called out when they fall short.
Great review and new to the channel. It is a bummer to me about the Super Powers figures. I just leave them carded and have them join the other 3.75 inch figures and pin the to the wall. Have a great new year and I am looking forward to your content all year long.
Poor Omega Spawn. Everything about him was amazing, the sculpt, the paint....and then there was the price for the size and those terrible wrists (mine snapped too). Unfortunately none of the Spawn line ever gets discounted in my area so I paid full price. I don't regret it as he looks amazing in the collection, but when you stand him next to Violator you do cringe a bit when you remember you paid so much for such a small figure.

It’s weird looking at a $40 mega figure like Frankenstein and how big and cool he is, but then seeing how small Omega is even though he was $50. It seems Mcfarlane has given more care to the DC mega figures than the Spawn mega figures.
Not really. Look at Violator, absolutely AMAZING figure. Cygor and Overkill were pretty cool too and HUGE. This was really the first miss for the mega figures in the Spawn line.
Ya, the Violator was awesome! But, even though Cygor and Overtkill were big and cool they both had the same issue as Clayface with the hollow cheap feeling bodies. Then with Omega he wasn’t hollow but was small whereas the other DC mega figures after Clayface we’re not hollow and still had an imposing size.
Hasblo continues to flex hard with outrageously over pricing. They'll charge you $28 for a 2" Grogu and then charge $50 for an 8" figure. I wouldn't spend more than $13 on Jawa. That Spawn figure shouldn't be that much but neither should that She Spawn. However the Mcfarlane price point is reasonable in comparison to Hasblo.
the super power was most dispointing figure line of the year a easy homerune that they bunted instead . there out scale of origanls, bad paint , low details and chincy capes . the vechiles are good get for your OG figures. besides that stay away from that line . its a very ,very sad thing.
I paid $49 for Omega. Luckily it did not break but you are absolutely 100% correct the price is freakin ridiculous! My Violator is like holding a brick plus the bloody version paint is insane! Think I paid 40 at GameStop awesome deal and definitely overshadowed Omega. Btw the way I find myself in the store asking: “What are doin here” thanks and keep up the good work!
Jazwares sculpts really need to be better. The Shida face scan doesn't look like her. I own it just because I dig Hikari Shida, but she needs a more accurate figure.
I stay away from McFarlane toys. BEAUTIFUL figures, but my experiences have never been good. They break very easily, some have paint on only 1 side of thier weapons, lack of full posability... I tend to admire from afar with these collectables.
I was super lucky on that Mandalorian Maldo Kreis figure. I ended up getting him at my particular Target for $15 for some reason. I'm not sure why, but it rang up that way, so I picked up two and didn't ask any questions lol
Where do you get these awesome Hangman like shirts? I agree with the Super Powers line. I like the nostalgia and packaging, I'm mostly an on card person, but even on an overall look it's not really a must have. I feel that is the worst when it comes to toys where it's not really have, probably even for completists
You always do a great job on your videos. After watching your most recent collection video I almost just gave up collecting completely. I mean I have near5000 figures in my collection, but seeing what you have achieved and the awesome way and pride you display them. I felt like a rank amateur ( and I have been collecting for at least 25 years ) and with the price hikes and all, it is getting closer to saying enough is enough and focusing on other things. But you and talker art have the most impressive collection on display I have seen. Keep up the great work.
that mando is $20 on clearance at target right now. and yeah, that omega spawn is a complete ripoff. I have quite a few mega figs and most of them are around $30-40, omega spawn is $50 (making him the most expensive mega fig so far), he comes with no accessories or alternate hands and he's barely an inch taller than a regular spawn figure. I said screw that figure and got the sam and twitch 2-pack for $10 cheaper and I love them.
Like this list, dont' want to spoilt it for others so I'll just semi-crytpically agree that THE BROTHERS price increases was easily the biggest problem I had with collecting new releases this year (though THEY WHO BRING RAIN AND THUNDER seemed to put thier prices up a fair amount too) and I agree with the LINE OF SUPER DISSAPOINTMENT, though partially for the opposite reason, I wanted less characters already in it and more fills.

As for Black Series, the stuff i DO collect: boy howdy, over here in Austria and surrounding Europe they're approaching 40 Euro as a standard price. Deluxes are now 50. Not counting shipping because you just plain can't find Black Series in stores except for bits and pieces. That Jawa would probably start with 36 bucks around here (but Smyth's is relatively good on clearing those out; i got my lovely Reva for 20 Euro.)

Super Powers - The amount of these peg warming at Walmart says it all. Add to it the frustration because this could have been a really fun line to collect. Especially with McFarlane being so slow in giving us characters in their classic looks. And yeah, the Batman Who Laughs already?
I picked up the Jawa at Target when they had it on sale recently for $13.99. And at one of my local Targets they finally had that Mando/baby Yoda/ spider Black Series pack on clearance for just under $20. I still didn’t pick it up! I have everything but the spider already so why bother!?

Sounds like you had two gripes about the actual quality of the figures and the rest was just “it doesn’t suck it’s just expensive.” Can’t say I’m surprised.
McFarlane is releasing too many toys way too fast. I’m really disappointed that he seems to have totally scrapped the Medieval Spawn Kickstarter figure. I was really looking forward to that. While I do like the Super Powers line for what they are, his other releases are just all over the place. They need to calm down and focus on quality.

Lol, I used the 4" Mando and Grogu one to price match the 6" and bam it worked as I got it for under $20
