1979 Chevy Square Body - can a novice repair this rusted door?

    Cut out and replace this rusted out door panel. Prepare the door for primer and paint.

    I'm about to do the doors on my 78 Scottsdale 4x4. This video was amazing to watch. You did amazing work for a beginner so I am going to attempt the same repairs. Thanks for your help!!

    my grandma would love that truck blue was her factor color before she passed away 14 year ago today

      Thanks, bro. We're happy with that blue color. And I guess it's a good thing, because after doing our own painting, we now find that blue everywhere! Our hands are blue, the drop cloths are blue, every rag and piece of sandpaper we own is blue . . . :)

    I think if you would have unfolded the lip on the bottom and put it back I think. There have been no welding there. I always watch more than one TH-cam vid to watch others doing what I'm trying to get done. That way I can try what works for me cause everybody does it different!

      It's possible that I could have gone that route. But when I tried to unfold the lip on the bottom it affected the outside of the door. I didn't want to bend things in a way that might compromise the visible part of the door for the benefits of something that doesn't really matter on the inside of the door. Good luck on yours!
