Back in the 80s when i was homeless i found a nook under a massive staircase in a luxury hotel it was a unused room for storage with a door ,apparently they never ever used it ,i set up a nice sleeping pad there nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summers, i kept it for a few years never got caught, i also washed dishes in the hotel so i had a food source .this was before cameras. One free meal per shift .i made like 4.50 a hour in wages 30 hours a week.

The reflectix will really help to radiate heat back into the truck and also in the summer to keep heat out. If you have any left over, I'd put it in between those pads you sleep on. It should reflect your body heat and block any drafts from below.

@@StriveSurvive definitely check TH-cam for buddy heater fixes. I have one saved that was made by a guy that had the same problem as you. He bought a 3rd party hose and didn't use a fuel filter and those hoses can gum up your heater. His didn't light at all so yours would probably be an easy fix.

@@StriveSurvive Take care of you,the story will be there when you're ready. I've been using my buddy heater with small cans refilled from a big tank with no filtering and no problems so far, but everyone says these need to be filtered too. I did buy a cheap filter but it doesn't flow gas- maybe just bad luck or maybe you need a good one. When time and money allow I'll get a better one but I'm aiming at a diesel heater too. Sure seems to be the way to go!

If I remember correctly, make sure the memory foam doesn't have a gel in it as it will freeze. A wood platform would be better. If you can find any factories around, particularly a plastics factory see if they have gaylords (cardboard 4x4x4 boxes on pallets) there are like 5-ply carboard and will insulate very well, especially the floor but would work just fine on your bed as well. Check out a fabric store to see if they have cheap foam pieces (for upholstery) that would work for more cushion for bed as well. Stay safe and as warm as possible!

Hey buddy i know its tough believe i know but GOD Blesses me with my needs every day! But i was just wondering if you are with you focusing on your living conditions with your truck and very understanding but are you keeping up with routine maintenance on your little truck? Its very important buddy cause your truck in your setup is your lifeline not just getting back forth to work and personal runs but your home to so please dont put off maintenance cause it will cost you a whole lot more in the long run.
I know where your at but i wished you lived closer i would let you setup here at my home and i have outside plugs for you to hookup and im NO carpenter but im not helpless and i could help you some. You could get a job within miles in either direction but i dont live in a city but close. Im worldly poor but a very rich man. I have one neighbor thats good and its very peaceful in a rural county.
Ive got 3 old trucks and 2 in great shape and one im getting in great shape and then im selling one and sure would like to see you get it and its on great shape and it is a full size with a 8 ft bed x 6 ft and 4 wheel drive. You would be like in a mansion with all the extra room.

@MrLivewire1970 It's no problem we suppose to reach out and help somebody when we can especially if they are trying and if he wasn't trying I wouldn't think bout it. I've hit hardtimes in my life a few times and GOD always put somebody on my life. I've got a perfect little place to help somebody on his situation so I just was willing to offer.
I knowed he said I think he has been in his truck for 10 months I think but sometimes we get focused at least I do on doing something and forget about other important things. The spot I have for him he would be right next to a creek and I've got a little fire pit electricity and water hookups and it would give him a chance to hopefully get on his feet and figure out where he wants to go in life.
I've got a very small home and I don't drink or do any other drugs and won't put up with it so he wouldn't have to put up or worry bout no foolishness I guarantee him that. But I know his family is where he is and it would be a hard decision but I offered and he is welcome. Thats bout the only way I can help him! You've got a good heart to buddy!
