Buyer beware, Outpost Campers are known to cause an insatiable desire for outdoor exploration and may lead to extended periods of fun and good times. Lack of cell service and days spent away from home is almost guaranteed.
Greetings, welcome to the truck camper club! I noticed you don’t have a rubber mat under the camper. I would encourage you to get a rubber mat or a sheet of plywood to help out with the damping. Other than that, it looks like you have everything figured out. Best of luck on your journeys, and more importantly, enjoy life!
It might not look like it, but there is a mat underneath the camper. The footprint of it is just a tad smaller than the camper base itself. I plan on getting the bed lined at some point and adding a more permanent mat. The current one was just the cheapest option.
This video better blow up! Honestly whenever I saw the storytelling and the production value I thought you had a lot of subs and it didn't make sense why you didn't until i saw you with the onewheel beanie and merch and then it clicked that you worked on the videos for onewheel before and Ive seen you multiple times. I wish you the best with your channel and I wish you the best with your videos because they are so good!
Appreciate it! These photos were a mix of film and digital. The 35mm & 120mm film I didn’t tweak much from those, just added contrast and saturation as needed. The others were shot on a Fuji XPro3 and I have a custom preset I throw on to match the film. I’m aiming to share more of that eventually.
@@Itsawildkevinwow. That is perfect. I am using the fujifilm xt5 and dying to find a good preset to work with. It’s be really appreciated if you don’t mind sharing some of the numbers 😊
If someone puts your tailgate up at night does that lock you inside (prevent you from opening the door)? *edit…. Disregard, just saw someone else ask same question.
Technically yes, but the side windows are large enough to crawl out off. I'd probably "lock myself in" to appear more stealth in some camping scenarios.
I have no problem with truck campers as long as there is a pass through. I have had too many experiences where it is not safe to have go outside to get to the drivers seat. If there is a grizzly (or whatever) outside causing trouble, it is not a good idea to have to go outside to get away. Just saying.
Awesome rig ! Looking forward to your adventures. Can I ask what made you choose this over somthing like a scout camper ? I'm planning on doing somthing simular and am in the spider web that is truck campers. Thanks for any response
I feel it man! I ultimately opted for an outpost because I didn’t find the layout/design of a scout all that compelling FOR ME. 🤷🏼♂️ Just personal preference I’d say. Outpost was more aligned with a space I’d want to live in full time.
Managed to find a used 2024 F350 Supercab with an STX package and 6.75 bed. Was searching for months and pretty surprised to see this one pop up. Cheers!
Camper weights a little over 1500lbs, but ofc will weigh more with water, all my sterf stashed away and if you add solar / Ac / heater etc. Truck is a 350! Definitely would have been fine with anything lower. Outpost designed this rig to work with an F150/ trucks similar in size, but I’ve future proofed for ideas later down the road ;) Oh, and no airbags……yet
So you paid about $37500 for that camper? I got an 1100 lb camper made in 2017, looks brand new for $6500; put it on a 2003 GMC 1500 which is worth $5K and I got out paid for for less than you paid for that truck. New is outrageous.
The wiggle when the truck popped in was PERFECTION

The editing, humor and storyline were incredible. Keep it up man!
The mix between camper review and photography was dope as fuck. Also the video was super well edited dawg 🤙
Heck yeah! Glad you liked it. Trying to bring the photography back in action. 🫡
I'll repeat myself and say it again. Storytelling is amazing. Congratulations on your purchase.
Thank you!
Amazing video! Thanks for making us a part of your adventures! Can’t wait to see where your new home on wheels takes you!

Congrats bruh!
Thanks dawg!
clean rig
Nice rig! I have the same setup but with a 2012 F-250. The only thing you're missing is the integrated step in your tailgate 😅
Nice! I use the side step on back. It works well, but the integrated step does sound nice.
Incredible content. Just subscribed. Looks like a great set up. Cheers
Thank you!
We just got our Outpost 6.5 ourselves. In Arizona now.
Heck yeah!
Love camping and I do phootgraphy and also love to do some videography when I got more equipments
Dude you have to work for future motion. The editing and video style is on point.
great color for those still pictures, mind to share your camera setup and possibly the editing process for the pictures? Much appreciated!

Thanks!
If someone closed your tailgate would you get locked in the rig?
Technically yes, but the side windows are large enough to crawl out off. I'd probably "lock myself in" to appear more stealth in some camping scenarios.

I totally agree, a pass through would be sick. Maybe one day!

Is there a bathroom?
YES! There is a small cassette toilet I forgot to mention. Probably because I've never used it and will try my best not too haha.

What year is the truck?
What trim level is the truck; 150 / 250 / 350?

@@ItsawildkevinDid you opt for a gas or diesel engin?.
Nice. Subscribed...
Too bad that no vanlife. Initially subscribed solely for the van
Same concept, different setup. Hate to see ya go, but I understand 🙋🏼♂️
What is the size of the truck and engine?
F350 7.3L gas ;)
What kind of boots are those? I need them 😂
Redwings! I wear them all the time.
Is that a F 150 extended cab? What year is your truck?
Great little set up!
F350 SuperCab! Shorter wheel base is a game changer for parking in small towns.
@ thats my thinking!
Great set up!
Do you know how much you weigh !?
Cool video. F150 or F250? How heavy is that camper? Are you using airbags? New sub 👍

It’s got one! The dimensions are just shy of the outpost base.

How much?
only accepting Hawk Tuah coin
Guessing 100-80k and up! Better than owning a mortgage
@@pault6054According to their website it’s around $35k.
I dont understand why you tubers invest in decent mics only to play loud annoying music during narration. I really dont get it.
Fair critique, I’d say music helps with pacing and overall tone of the piece. I do struggle with the right balance between those two though. Cheers!
