- Welcome to my very first vlog! I am a solo traveler from the Philippines!
Documented my 2023 solo travel in Japan, my first trip back to this country after the pandemic. This time, I visited Nagoya and Takayama for 6 days. Here's the recap of my Day 1 travel, starting from my flight in Manila to Nagoya and my bus ride going to Takayama. This ain't my first solo travel, but this is the first time I have documented and shared it via vlog. I hope future travelers to Nagoya and Takayama will find my vlogs useful, as much as I did with all the other vlogs I watched when planning for this trip. I really had fun planning and doing this. :) Enjoy!
Good luck with the channel!
Thank you, brother! 👋👋
I just made myself Nagoya Takayama itenerary just yesterday, and i found this video ❤
Yay! Hope the series would help you in planning your next trip :)
👍👍👍
Yay 😍😍
Moreeeee!!
Yessss! Working on it. 😁😁😁
yyahoo!Taralest- you uploaded amazing traveler.
thank you, buddy :)
Great videos! Just a minor suggestion, you can add some background music and do away with the “click” sound when the subtitle comes out.
Overall still a very commendable effort, looking forward to see more vlogs ahead.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for your feedback too. As for the music, I decided to put music only in walking tours, to somehow preserve the rawness of the video clips. I dunno if i'm making sense but will consider those in my future videos. :)
I'm glad i found your vlog, it looks like you had the same itinerary as I will later in March! Very nice perspective and very informative! Ganbatte kudasai!
Awww. Thanks, Mike! I hope you could watch my other episodes too. Tho still not complete, I hope it will help you on your planning for your trip central Japan on March. 🤍
@@iamownline Yes! i'm watching them.

Please do more videos!! You do great work!
Thanks, Jerry! Appreciate it. :)
Hi Lester, is there a problem when I have 25inch luggage getting into the U Sky train?
and what about the bus from Nagoya to Takayama also with 25inch luggage?
I dont think you will have challenges with your luggage. Bus and trains you've mentioned have places for you to put your luggage in. :)
Hi just wanted to say this is a great series of videos you'd done! Do you think it would be a big challenge to do the same trip without being able to speak Japanese?
Thank you! Really appreciate it.
Well, it would be a challenge, but it could be overcame. I remember the first two times I went to Japan, i still don't know Nihongo that much, yet I was able to survive the city. Hehe
@@iamownline Thanks! I guess it might be do-able in the city, probably more of a challenge in the countryside/rural areas. But i do see some English in the restaurants' menus in your videos on Takayama, so it's encouraging :)
Yess. I don't think you have to worry that much about the language. If you would have seen in my vlog, in Takayama, I tried my best to speak in Japanese, however they would end up trying to speak in english. Maybe they saw me struggling a bit? Haha. But as long as you are able to adapt well to the area, you wou don't have to worry about language barrier
@@iamownline I've seen your vlog on Takayama, but didn't see (hear) any conversations but I get your gist. That's rather reassuring :) Looking forward to more such videos 👍
Kinda just mentioned it (thru the subs. Hehe) i think on day 4.
All the best on your next trip. :)
