this is a tutorial video showing how to install TWRP custom recovery on lg v50 device. But first you will have unlock your bootloader.

Hey, at the end, and pressed The Vol & power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds, then the device kind of restarted and returned to the TWRP mode and I was able to swipe to unlock and use the keyboard without the OTG dongle.
bruh. after rooting as above and then installing twrp. Do I need to flash disable vm verify?

Hey Btech, I had my V50 rooted before and need to format my data. Now on Magisk I have Ramdisk: yes but the device isn't rooted. To root again I should just replace the patched image again or do something else? Nice video btw!
Since you are on the stock rom replacing the patched boot image will do the job
@@Btech94 If a install a custom ROM I would need just to flash the Magisk zip wiith the Rom TWRP, DMEncrypt, right?

Sir, what happens if I flash the wrong partition like I flash the boot file to the abl file? will it be a dead boot?
Probably device will bootloop. Thats why you need to keep the backups. Long as you have backup files for both abl and boot files you can recover your device easily.

I have LG V5O, but now on settings/ about phone say Model Number LM-G850, why :(
That's because of the custom abl file. It is from lg g8x. If you need to get the original model number you can reflash the original abl of your device (you need to backup it first like i said in the video). This will bring the original model number back. But you wont be able to get into recovery menu by holding volume down. So if you are in a custom rom add a shortcut to get the advanced boot menu to enter twrp. Otherwise you wont be able to get into twrp if you wont to test out new roms or whatever.
I fix that ty, @@Btech94 , ypu shoud make a new custom rom, without the problem of resolution
oops I could not reboot into recovery using the method at the end ... luckily "adb reboot recovery" worked and I am now trying riceDroid ...
oops I guess I could have tried the buttons combo :
power+volUp, when logo appears you let go of power button and immediately press it again, then proceed to factory reset option which will boot you to TWRP
but I was too scared of going into the "factory reset" option ;)
I follow all of you step in this video also follow in previous video step by step to unlock bootloader, but now my phone lost all audio cant use cellphone.

how to use backup file that I keep it save by follow you step. (abl_a abl_B and boot_a & b)
You can replace all the abl files and boot files to get the device in to original state. Also if you want you can replace boot_a and boot b files with twrp flashable file and boot via reset menue(little bit hard to boot via this mode). I haven't use the phone in stock ROM after unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP. None of my custom ROMs gave an audio issue tho. You can try orange fox recovery if twrp giving issues BTW.

@@superiorwarakorn6733 yes you can. Enter the EDL mode and replace them via qfil. You can enter edl mode all the time by method I've shown. You dont need stock ROM to enter the edl mode.
@@Btech94 then, when replaces it and I need to enter any command in ADB command? or just replace then exit Qfil and exit EDL?

Should i use magisk v23.0 only?
I haven't tested in other versions. But after installing custom rom and if you need to root you can use latest available magisk version

that will be needed only if you want to root your device.
@@Btech94 i flashed it then i got stuck on logo boot.
@@amrybb677 only flash it after Rooting in twrp. If you root the device and don't flash also device will be boot loop.
Does this work on android 12?
First finds out that your device already have a fastboot mode. If it does you don't have to replace abl_a file. If you're device doesn't have fastboot mode you can follow all of these steps and unlock the bootloader.

@@Btech94hello sir. Im currently using v500N (skt) with android 12 (40D latest firmware). Already bootloader unlocked but i lost my root since upgrading past android 11.
My question, can i use your guide to re-root my android 12? Or should i downgrade to android 10 first and follow your guide?
