Good video! Ok, I'm totally with you for "Focused Shot" and "Escape Artist," but..."Eye for Detail?" That's barely a quality-of-life pick. I mean, the markers come up anyway; getting them a bit longer isn't helpful for survival. I go for either of the other two Survival picks first: "Thorn in Your Side" is great if you're going crossbow since it will preserve scrap. "Hawkeyed" is useful for stocking up on plants so that by the time you can craft cocktails you've got all the ingredients you need. Finding plants without that skill is just a chore (though it's much less useful if you're playing on Survival difficulty).
Yeah those two skills are vital for using the crossbow. Thorn in Your Side to give you a chance for resource free ranged kills and and Hawkeyed making the Cedar Saplings easier to find. I wanted to avoid specific build options (like crossbow build) in this video and instead focus on 3 skills that any new player can't go wrong with. I may do a "Best Crossbow Build" type video in the future, a lot of folks really like it. Thanks for watching!
Until you mentioned Eye for Detail, I never even realized how quickly I pick up that skill. 100% that thing is so helpful in the beginning of the game, ESPECIALLY if you wanna go after hordes early! You will need every bit of LOOOOT you can find. Another great video for anyone who loves or is even interested in this awesome game. Well done, good sir 🤘
Hey Joe! Eye for Detail is how I found many of the Hidden Loot Locations that I use to stay stocked up for killing hordes! The extended radius would show items in areas that seemed unreachable... so I had to go check them out!
The option to toggle skills on/off would be cool. I think that is one thing they were going for with Survival Difficulty since it disables some skills entirely. Thank you for watching!
What happens when you view your skills? Does it show your level or skills you should have? Check the weapon locker at O'leary mountain safe house for your guns. Once you have access to any weapon locker you should have your guns back. If you have none of those things then you'll likely have to start a new New Game Plus file
Carry That Weight is imo the single most important skill in the game so it is a great suggestion! There is only reason it's not included in this essential skills video: this video is exclusively about skills that you can unlock with your first few skill points. Carry That Weight is on skill tier 4 (I think lol) so you can't get it right away. I like to get Eye For Detail early and then use it to help me fill my inventory once I eventually unlock Carry That Weight. Thanks for watching!

SpawnicusRex gives new game playthrough motivation
Was about to post this exact comment 😂 I'm redownloading it now as well.
Awesome 😎 👏🏻 video Rex 👍🏻👍🏻 I’m looking forward to seeing more Days Gone content. Those 3 skills are definitely useful for early game.
Once again excellent tips! Gratitude 🙏

Choosing my skills carefully this time so it doesn't get too easy. Be great to be able to toggle skills

Made it!
I'm new NG + but I can use my skills or find all my guns I acquired. ANYONE know why or how I can access

And it fucking rocks!
Thank you! Claire has leveled up her editing game!
Nice 👍 excellent tips. 😊
I would trade Eye for quality for the one that doubles your inventory
