I never bother with collectibles lol. If they don't unlock some benefit or bonus in game, I could not possibly care less about them. Trophies, achievements, collectibles, cosmetics... none of that stuff has any value or use to me. Days Gone is the only game that I ever got all the collectibles and that is only because I love the game so much I wanted to learn everything that I could about it. Thanks for watching!

I love that these old videos are still getting views! I wasn't even that good at Days Gone back then, had fewer hours in it at the time lol. I've talked to a lot of folks over the years who are terrified of the hordes and have trouble enjoying the game when they get stuck at horde missions. Thanks Scottie! I didn't even consciously realize I was doing this until recently lol. I was running, reloading a weapon and selecting my next throwable all in one instant and looking around at the horde at the same time while in slow motion... I knew then I was onto something lol

Double plants is good and efficient for farming crafting stuff that needs plants

@ezioauditore6371 yes for potions but really you do not need double of them. Single one is good enough. The only one that actually helps is double double scrap

@@jonnywalker2015 while I agree and that is true for many who are good at the game, I feel like it might be a crucial skill for those who spam cocktails and stuff that really need them for fights. EDIT: Double plants is also good for farming crossbow bolts and poison

Hi there! You have to start reloading first, then you can activate the radial menu and pick your next item and next move while Deacon completes the reloading animation in slow motion. Green Thumb, which grants double plants, is really only useful if you are running the crossbow. You harvest double Cedar Sapling also which is what you use to make crossbow bolts. The Butcher which grants more meat is actually one of the best skills in the game, if you get it early. It does not merely double your meat collection, you will always get 3 to 5 meat which is triple or more every single time you harvest meat! Since you will be getting bit in the ass by a wolf every 5 minutes, The Butcher definitely pays off long term lol

It saddens me when other gamer friends of mine haven't played Days Gone and so few folks have heard of it. Most people who have at least heard of it say "Oh yeah, isn't that the zombie game that got shit reviews because it was mostly broken at launch?" and that's all they know about it. I've met one co worker at my day job that had seen horde kill videos but they didn't realize that they had probably seen my videos lol

I agree completely! In fact, I included a whole section on Challenge Mode patches that help with killing hordes in the original script and voice over for this video. We decided to cut that section to keep the run time from getting too long but will likely include those tips in a future video since the voice over already exists. Thanks for the comment! Carry That Weight is imo the single most important skill in the game so it is a great suggestion! There is only reason it's not included in this essential skills video: this video is exclusively about skills that you can unlock with your first few skill points. Carry That Weight is on skill tier 4 (I think lol) so you can't get it right away. I like to get Eye For Detail early and then use it to help me fill my inventory once I eventually unlock Carry That Weight. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely. If you watch closely, you'll see this video was made while playing on survival 2. You can tell it is survival difficulty because there's no HUD. The methods in this video still work 👍

Tricking enemies into fighting each other is always a favorite of mine! I love using hordes to clear the ambush camps lol

Sounds almost exactly like the way I play lol. The only difference for me, once I get the auto shotgun unlocked, I rarely ever swap it out for anything else. I run it in the primary slot all the time!

The Sawmill Horde really isn't that hard. I've always tried to show people that, if you're using your tools and using the terrain, the hordes aren't as scary as they seem at first.
