My friend, things are about to get even better, as I release a video today showing how to get an MG45 as well as the US556, to basically turn Deacon OP weapons wise, as well as showing another really cool advantage.
@@CombatMosquitoTrainer haha just got the MWS , as it’s so much better then the SAF , which would be more effective if u used it as a club. Just got 4 hordes down to get SMP 9 and itching to get to Lost Lake to try this out. (Although I do love the auto shotgun. That weapon is a beast closeup, and u get 10 hordes pretty easy if you focus on that)
The US556 is my first choice weapon. It shots well and is accurate in taking out near to medium distance kills. Just before escaping Wizard Island and leaving Sarah behind I swapped over to the Chicago Chopper not before quickly realising what a poor performing weapon it is. Loading a saved game saved me from more pain.
Yeah, honestly Jonathan, the Chicago Chopper is simply a good horde killing weapon, but you get much more precision from the US556, plus, it also does a good job on any horde.
Incredible find , it's just amazing how you and other hardcore gamers find all of these exploits. Just a thought , since missions aren't active , would you be able to fast travel back as I didn't notice any infestations ? Brilliant my friend !
Thank you my friend. I can't take any credit for the method to get into the Iron Butte area early (PS5 Secrets & Greyghost Gamerz showed me this one their videos), but I immediately knew a fantastic opportunity was here because I knew about this weapons location, hence the video my friend. And you are a smart man. No infestation zones showing at this point, but there is a Nero site here. I never tested the fast travel option as I was showing this video played on Survivor II, so it would be disabled for me, but I think the fast travel will be possible, and the ability to place early traps, could make some future missions in this area very interesting indeed, lol.
Hey Cap, appreciate you commenting my friend, but I was a bit confused by it. The SMP9 can be unlocked by killing hordes very early, but the US556 can't (as it's simply not a weapon that gets unlocked through killing hordes). Once you reach Lost Lake, the maximum amount of hordes you can possibly have taken out is 8 (4 in Cascade & 4 In Belknap). And the next weapon to get unlocked through horde kills is the Auto Shotgun (10 hordes required for this one). Eventually, you do get the IDF Pup (but you require 20 Horde kills for this bad boy). Getting a chance to get the US556 so early after reaching Lost Lake, is the big advantage, as it's very close to the IDF Pup in terms of stats, but obtainable far sooner than you will ever get the IDF. And you have it for the entire duration of the Lost Lake missions (unless you change your primary weapon of course). I may have not taken your comments correctly my friend (especially as I know you are very knowledgeable about Days Gone), but just wanted to clarify that this weapon can only be got through purchase at Hot Springs or picking it up in the Iron Butte region. All the best CK.
@borislav247 I don't think I'll abuse this since it's a bit of a cheat but really cool to just explore the area, especially the dam and the other areas that get destroyed. 👍
@borislav247 Do you know if there is a way to get to the Lost Lake region early in the game (when you get your replacement bike after it was stolen by Copeland’s camp)? If this is possible, then you could get U556 and MG45 just about at the start.
@@borislav247 I too have been trying out different rock faces in the Cascade region on the upper right side of the map. I was finally able to get on top of some rocks, but my motorcycle fell down. So I didn’t feel like trying to traverse all the way to Lost Lake without my bike (even if that was even possible). Then I tried to go back to re-create what I did and I couldn’t do it. There are so many potential rock faces so it is so time-consuming. And there are so many different approaches that could work. I’m thinking they’re probably is a rock face that you can climb just based on the probability that there’s so many potential climbing locations.
I didnt get the us556 until after i beat the game unfortunately. I held onto one of the m7's or whatever they are that enemies drop so i could have a constant supply of ammo, and i just headshotted all my enemies until i got to wizard island. Then i got the chicago chopper and realized it one shot enemies pretty much anywhere you shot them so i kept that until end game. On NG+ my layout is the rock chuck, the SMP9, and the BND-150. The BND-150 is a beast at killing hordes btw. The explosive rounds are insane and so are the gas rounds. Both end up killing a good chunk of the hordes at a time, and you can be far enough away from them that you dont trigger their aggression towards you. With like 3 shots from either, you can pretty much take almost any horde down to low double digit numbers and then use your rock chuck to pick off the stragglers if you dont wanna alert them or you can use the smp9 to finish off the last few that are left and probably not even have to reload. I have only ever had this method not work for the sawmill horde and the death train horde because of how hard it is to be at a distance from the sawmill horde so i triggered their aggression anyways, and the death train horde i accidentally triggered their horde when i was walking up because of a straggler that saw me and alerted the others.
Got to admit mate, I've never actually used the BND 150 yet, but I've heard about how good a weapon it is, and after reading what you have said about it, it sounds pretty OP. Will definitely have to give this bad boy a shot, lol.
Ps i thought the gates closed at nero ripper camp? Ye the sermon there is shortcut back to belknap this neen my go to road when travelling back ti tuckers now
The 2 ripper camps here are completely empty, but they can both be accessed my friend (the wagon one only accessible from the South of course, as you're right with the gate from the North side). You need to try exploring this area early M, as it's a truly surreal experience exploring this bit without the craziness that usually comes with it.
@borislav247 ye I been using that way b as I'm on survivor 1 difficulty i miss fast travel sometimes hehe. That sermon I recognised on my way back to lost lake b. I'm not sure when that nero ripper camp gate opens but I know it opens b4 ya go to crater lake as I've done it myself
@borislav247 I can't believe this game got the HATE fake news reviews when it came out! This game is a masterpiece and hope this gets a sequel, could you imagine Days Gone 2?!!!
Not quite. If you change this weapon for a different primary weapon, you will end up losing it, but, worth noting that this weapon respawns in Iron Butte after 3 days in the Days Gone world, so you can always pop back over to Iron butte to get it again.
Getting the gun this way, no. The only weapons that can be stored in the locker, are either purchased from a vendor, or are unlocked through missions as rewards.
You most certainly can, but, it's a far more tricky affair. Working on showing a good solid method where it can be done by the masses, because getting to the South early means you can pick up The Superior Metal Axe early, which is another fantastic advantage.
Pretty sure you can, but it's locked behind trust level 3, so it would be a long time before you got your hands on it. Doing it this way, 10 minutes after you reach Copeland's camp.
Indeed you can, but what I love about this is, you can potentially speed through the first section without side missions, etc, in order to get to Lost Lake fast, and then get this bad boy before starting to clear up missions and other stuff, with a fantastic early weapon.
@borislav247 or you can make horde respawn by east ambush camp in belknap though b (seen someone use this tactic) Oh and I found another secret spot location that you or rex dont know about hehe (on 1 of my 2 latest vids) I kicked myself when I found it lol as I ran past there loads of times hehe
In all fairness mate, this is one of the toughest rock climbs you will ever attempt in Days gone. All 3 methods I show ain't easy, but the 2nd is the easier than the other two methods.
If you equip another weapon from a locker, and then do a mission (or die) won’t you lose the US556? If I remember correctly, found weapons are not added to your inventory right?
You are correct about losing the weapon through equiping another, as this weapon is not in your inventory because it was not purchased or unlocked through game missions. But as long as you don't replace it with another weapon, you will still hold onto this if you die. Only primary weapon this early in the game, that would possibly warrant me wanting to change this one, would be unlocking the Auto Shotgun after 10 horde kills. Other than that, this bad boy is worth keeping as it's a fantastic weapon. Once you unlock the IDF Pup though through horde kills, then ditch this, lol.
@@borislav247You have to kill 20 hordes for the IDF Pup, though. That is quite time consuming as at least one of those hordes is story locked behind the Nero mission with Boozer. If this weapon has better specs than the MWS, I am all for grabbing it early.
@@benyrizarry273 once you get to Lost Lake with the US556 , try using the locker in Boozers/Deacons cabin. The gun may drop to the floor there ? Worth trying . (Obviously save game first 🤔)
I need help for some reason everytime I try to go up I fall off my bike n lose all health n die I keep trying but still can’t get it and I really want that that gun😭😭‼️
My video had likely came up as I have produced an insane amount of Days Gone content. You can start the game like this, then head back to Cascade and give them hell, without worrying about the game messing up. This just gives you an insane advantage mate.
I just finished the mission with the airplane where u gotta kill the big roided out zombie I tried to go to this area not knowing about this but it said I was leaving the mission area. I should be able to access it now right?
That mission is the first trip into Iron Butte, but it doesn't officially open Iron Butte until a later mission comes up, so you still can't officially get into this region right now, but, you can get into it by doing what I show on this video, lol.
I got the gun from the truck but it wouldn't show up in my locker deacon just kept dropping it why is this happening. Great vid but I'm pissed I didn't get to keep the gun..
The reason mate, is simply because the gun has been found. Only weapons that have been purchased or unlocked through missions will appear in the Locker. It sucks a bit, but do remember. All items (except ammo from Police Cars) respawn in around 2 to 3 days in the Days Gone world, so if you decide to ditch the US556 for a bit while using another primary weapon, you can return to Iron Butte to pick up the weapon again, and my next video (coming out later today) is a real eye opener, as I show how you can RETURN back to the Iron Butte region far easier. And, there is another weapon that can be got in Iron Butte. I show this in the new video also.

@@markpoland5748 It's fine to not take the mission and continue with your business in the North. By going for all the side missions & taking out the hordes, ambush camps & Infestation nests, you will be able to get that trust level 3 you need mate.
I was lucky that I had a game save of just leaving Cascade to head to Lost Lake, otherwise, I would of had to do a bit of grinding to get to this point.
With a minimalist playthrough like Borislav's extreme run at the moment, you could easily do it in a few hours. The trust grinding and side missions are what eat up my time.
Not sure what area you are referring to, as I don't show any Ambush Camps on this video. If you let me know where on the video (time wise) you are unsure of, and I'll gladly let you know what you are looking at.
No it doesn't, but as long as you don't change it for anything (and early game, you won't get a weapon anywhere near as good), you will always have it.
It's a tricky climb mate. Just watch the line I take carefully & just walk the bike up. don't bother with the accelerator, as it makes the job a much tougher one.

My friend, things are about to get even better, as I release a video today showing how to get an MG45 as well as the US556, to basically turn Deacon OP weapons wise, as well as showing another really cool advantage.
@borislav247 Looking forward to it. Love that accent as well as the tips and tricks
@@CombatMosquitoTrainer Thank you CMT.
That weapon is a beast closeup, and u get 10 hordes pretty easy if you focus on that)
@safetybeachlife Haha. As we speak, I'm using the auto shotgun to grind a few more ears so I can grab the Talon from Lost Lake.
this makes me want to re-play the game one more time
Don't deny yourself my friend, give it another go.
Thanks Borislav 247!
An absolute pleasure NS.
Boris my friend you are the oracle👍
Lol, thank you my friend.
Yeah, honestly Jonathan, the Chicago Chopper is simply a good horde killing weapon, but you get much more precision from the US556, plus, it also does a good job on any horde.
cheers pal, very helpful
An absolute pleasure mate.
Getting both US556 *and* SMP9 (from killing hordes) in the early game??
So powerful. No excuse not to take on hordes 😄
Nice info.
@@borislav247 Oh, my comment was not written correctly.
It should have said “Getting the SMP9 from horde killing, then the US556 early in the game…”
@@CaptKaffeine It's all good my friend.
TY! Saved. 😉
You are too kind sir, thank you.
awesome Brother, you know im a sponge for anything DG
The legends of Days Gone channels always are my friend. Thank you as always for watching GBM.
I always knew about picking up the us556 when you go fight Carlos at iron butte but I never knew about getting this early
Well, I'm delighted you know about this now. It's also a fantastic area to simply check out without most of the enemies you normally get here.
So far mate, there simply isn't a way. Myself & a few other channels have been checking this possibility out, and right now, it can't be done.
@@jimkluka Trust me my friend, I am working on this one. The thought of creating an amazing advantage so early, keeps me looking & probing, lol.
Thanks for this helpfull video !
An absolute pleasure mate.
Cheers bud well explained
Thank you MG.
Great video as always. Will you be continuing your extreme playthrough with this weapon then, Boris? 😂
Lol, I'll be like a kid outside a sweet shop who can only look but ain't allowed in. God I miss good weapons like this, lol.
@@borislav247I could hear the longing in your voice when you unlocked the auto shotgun on your recent video. 😂
@@JBost-en9tq Lol, indeed JB.

@@akronsbest9091 Very true words mate, and I just love this game, so the Days gone content will continue to be made my friend.
@borislav247 I can't believe this game got the HATE fake news reviews when it came out! This game is a masterpiece and hope this gets a sequel, could you imagine Days Gone 2?!!!

Lol. Motorcycles are incredible. Someone should climb Mount Everest on one.
LMAO, love it.
Took me 20 tries but I finally made it up that first climb
Well done, it ain't an easy climb.
Thank you, when you get this weapon, can you keep it until the end ?
Not quite. If you change this weapon for a different primary weapon, you will end up losing it, but, worth noting that this weapon respawns in Iron Butte after 3 days in the Days Gone world, so you can always pop back over to Iron butte to get it again.
Brilliant ! I’m off as soon as I can.
Superb, I wish you well on this one, and enjoy the very surreal experience of an untouched Iron Butte region, before later storylines change this.
Hell yes! I despise the MWS. TYVM.
Amen to that my good friend, lol.
Alguno me puede decir porque no tengo más visión de supervivencia⁉️... Tengo la ps4
Got the gun nice, just started playing game well bit over 20 hrs. Is there a way to put the gun in your gun locker?
Getting the gun this way, no. The only weapons that can be stored in the locker, are either purchased from a vendor, or are unlocked through missions as rewards.
Can you get over the mountain to the militia territory the same way?
You most certainly can, but, it's a far more tricky affair. Working on showing a good solid method where it can be done by the masses, because getting to the South early means you can pick up The Superior Metal Axe early, which is another fantastic advantage.
I just arrived a Camp Hotsprings... Let's see if I can open it all the way from there 😈
If you manage this, let me know how you do it, lol.
Can't you just buy this from the second camp? (the hot springs one)
Pretty sure you can, but it's locked behind trust level 3, so it would be a long time before you got your hands on it. Doing it this way, 10 minutes after you reach Copeland's camp.
Ye u can get cope and tucker trust 3 b4 ya start ll I got mg45 upped mag
Indeed you can, but what I love about this is, you can potentially speed through the first section without side missions, etc, in order to get to Lost Lake fast, and then get this bad boy before starting to clear up missions and other stuff, with a fantastic early weapon.
@borislav247 or you can make horde respawn by east ambush camp in belknap though b (seen someone use this tactic) Oh and I found another secret spot location that you or rex dont know about hehe (on 1 of my 2 latest vids) I kicked myself when I found it lol as I ran past there loads of times hehe
I try to get down to lost lake it tells me I’m leaving the playable area and kicks me back up
You need to follow the route I take. If you get that message, very quickly head down to the left to avoid this message appearing again.
I wonder if this is tied to frame rate at all ? i just cant do it on my Steam Deck running around 40 FPS. Maybe i just suck
In all fairness mate, this is one of the toughest rock climbs you will ever attempt in Days gone. All 3 methods I show ain't easy, but the 2nd is the easier than the other two methods.
Every time I try to go to the lake I get leaving mission area.
There are odd areas around here where you are leaving official map areas. You have clearly found one my friend.
Is It the rock climb into Iron Butte that's giving the problem mate?. If it is, you just need to watch my line carefully mate, as it is a tad tricky.
@@borislav247 yea that’s my problem I sat here for about a hour trying to get it done still can’t 💔💔😔😭😭😭
Does this softlocks the game? Because i just started the game and your video popped up
My video had likely came up as I have produced an insane amount of Days Gone content. You can start the game like this, then head back to Cascade and give them hell, without worrying about the game messing up. This just gives you an insane advantage mate.
Thanks mate
And thanks for watching.
@@borislav247 yeah I’m gonna give it a try
Well I tried it out a few times and I made it to the first one but I fell off my bike and it tumbled down to the bottom smh so I gotta start over.
Hell yeah took about 10 times maybe but I got up there thanks man!
@@SithHappens9567 Nice job mate. It gets easier with practice.

Makes me want to restart the game again. 😅
I was lucky that I had a game save of just leaving Cascade to head to Lost Lake, otherwise, I would of had to do a bit of grinding to get to this point.
@@borislav247 interesting though, I wonder how quickly it could be done
With a minimalist playthrough like Borislav's extreme run at the moment, you could easily do it in a few hours. The trust grinding and side missions are what eat up my time.
Awesome...
Thank you my friend.
I'm not sure which ambush camp this is. Can someone let me know
Not sure what area you are referring to, as I don't show any Ambush Camps on this video. If you let me know where on the video (time wise) you are unsure of, and I'll gladly let you know what you are looking at.
but it doesnt go in your locker
No it doesn't, but as long as you don't change it for anything (and early game, you won't get a weapon anywhere near as good), you will always have it.
I think they patched this. Soon as i go up my bike flips me off.
It's a tricky climb mate. Just watch the line I take carefully & just walk the bike up. don't bother with the accelerator, as it makes the job a much tougher one.
