Big deal??!!!!!! Really !???;Can you say the same asshole???!!! What a moronic nasty thing 2 say!! Didn't your mama teach u if you have nothing nice 2:say don't say anything!!!
Joy Harrison I'm with you, Miss Joy. This touches a potent, resonant chord, deep inside. This broad period from Stevie W.'s work is magic--"Ribbon In The Sky"; "If It's Magic"; "All In Love Is Fair"; "Higher Ground"; "Too High"; "Boogie On Reggae Woman"; "Visions"; "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing"; "As"; "Knocks Me Off My Feet"; "Summer Soft"; "Living For The City"; "Do I Do: "You've Got It Bad"; "Lookin; For Another Pure Love"; "Sir Duke"; "Isn't She Lovely"; "Another Star" "Creepin" and on and on....
I'm somewhat surprised that this is a favorite of so many. It DEFINITELY is my favorite because of the introduction and, on a personal note, it was the favorite of my deceased sister. My GOLDEN LADY!
I Agree 🎶Wholeheartedly 🎶🎙🎼🎹🎵And In Just about Every One Of His Songs🎶❤He Speaks Of SEEING ..such an AWESOME spirit 🎶He is Our gift from above 🎶🎻🎙🎧🎼🎵bc we get "2" share in his experience 👍🎶🙋💋❤
Hands can understand...he's been my everything since I heard him as "Little Stevy Wonder!" I love him, please only positive reviews, he would never let you down!
Ths whole album is just on a whole different level than anything he or probably anyone has created. definitely top 10 albums of all time. I wonder what place in life he was in when creating this masterpiece.
+chillhomie7 He had just gotten into a nasty car accident just before going on tour for this album--I think interviews with him said that the experience (a four-day coma) reasserted his belief in destiny. Spiritual and beautiful, like this song!
He is like the one and only. There are so many others, I mean I LOVE Luther and Earth Wind and Fire, but ... oh my ... Stevie is absolutely heaven sent.
..... brilliant, .....amazing how he allows us to experience his take, and it's just cool ....the phrase "he knows where it's at" applies ......it's in the heart" "Love" that motivates Steve Wonder so obvious
I agree, Chillhomie7. I am 60 yrs. old, gray and mildly mobility impaired. I consider having existed when someone like Stevie Wonder gave us his all as one of the best things about my life. People seem to focus more on Songs in the Key of Life but innervisions floored me. Still does to this day.
Today is my Daddys birthday. Stevie was our favorite. On my Dad urn reads loving you always. I cry listening to that song. Thank you Stevie for the music that create beautiful memories
I think this is his best album, and that this is the best song on it. That intro, chord progression, the subtle acoustic guitar...there's just nothing like this anywhere else. It sounds like he took a dream and made it into music.
I was living in Italy when this album came out as my mother sent me the album. It brings back many beautiful moments in my life and sweet memories of my deceased wife..❤️
i remember as a young boy listening to this song and it has the same feel and love now that I'm 64 yrs old, time flew by but his song is plain wonderful
So many of Stevie's songs are intertwined in my years growing up and alot just intensified the joys of love and relationships with his incredible joy, love and passion in his songs with incomparably appropriate words that cut straight to the heart...and even in those times of heartache and breakup his music got me through-so profound...over 4 decades of listening to one of the greatest musicians of all time-with songs and lyrics with true healing power. Take a real dive into Stevie's music and see if you don't agree. God Bless the Wonder Man.
Yes healing powers absolutely true I haven't been able to even listen to music and I kept hearing his name repeat in my mind and am doing a serious study on him. I break away from the stressful news with his universal message about love, and even hear his songs play in my mind healing my acute insomnia. He is my medicine
Just listen to some Stevie and your musical IQ will increase. His use of beautiful, rich chords and melodies is like a master class in harmony. Creepin' is one of my favourites.
Who in the world keeps putting the thumbs down on this song....If you are not a Stevie Wonder fan of great music you can't appreciate the quality and level of his music....just stay off the page. ♥️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
Stevie Wonder is simply a genius. To follow up such a violent, wonderful and turbulent song Like Living for the City with a beautiful, melodic song like "Golden Lady" just makes me appreciate him even more.
@SomethingReal have you heard Phoebe Snow's album "Something Real" from the late 80:s early 90s I really like it it's cool, you might, and Heart's Horizon was also pretty amazing and Amazing
THIS SONG, WOKE UP MY SELF-ESTEEM. MOST WOMEN ARE SO BROKEN & THEY NEED ENCOURAGEMENT. I KEPT HEARING STEVIE SANG. I'VE NEVER HEARD OF IT, IN IT'S ENTIRETY. I SHARED IT WITH A FEW FRIENDS. ZERO, THANK YOU!!!
Uplifting melody! I thank my oldest sister for playing his music over and over! Stevie so generous with his singing & songwriting gift! A huge influence in music.
Every time I hear this song I get chills... Innervisions no doubt... he explains the world more beautifully than any person with sight I know. I love this song. I love Stevie.
Will forever be my granny's theme for me. I was listening to this song while going through some photos of her from the 70s. She's Native American and Black so she has this beautiful golden skin. She always wears gold jewelry with her hair big and curly. It always reminded me of her. Forever my Golden Lady. ✨
Was tripping on some mushrooms the other day walking in nature while listening to this song, I have never felt such calmness and happiness at once. And while I can't always be high on mushrooms, I will always be high on Stevie's music
I Absolutely 💜LoveLuvLove💜 this Classic, Amazing Ballad Song of Positivity💜 & Love💜Simply Beautiful, I Love you Stevie Wonder,😘Thank you👏🏽 for singing🎤🎙 with Realness💜 and Passion💜 with Every Phenomenal HIT💯 that you wrote #The8thWonderOfTheWorld🌎
I was 7 years old when this song came out and I still remember what it made me feel like... this is a song that will FOREVER be embedded in my memories of growing up in the hill district of PITTSBURGH PA. love you Mom love You Dad (R.I.P) and Love you STEVIE for your music that has touched the WORLD!!
Speedy Gee I saw Fences a while back and just finished reading Smoketown. The Hill District played prominent roles in both. I went to college at Duquesne, adjacent to the Hill. Lots of good music came from t Hill.
Must hear tune daily, to prepare myself for what’s in store, for the day ...... I can handle anyone & anything after hearing & singing along , with this Masterpiece......
had the great priviledge of seeing him in 1973... magical, other worldly... any music or musician that can evoke such strong emotions,( after all these years this song always brings tears to my eyes) is a true genius... he is a modern Bodhisattva..thank u for posting this album...
One of the great Stevie Wonder tunes. Musically he was using fuller chords with 7ths and 9ths and using a sequential movement near the end moving by half steps. Done so well that even for musicians the emotional sensibility trumped the theoretical.
You're right +Benjamin. Also, what REALLY blows me away are the chord progressions in his classic "Don't You Worry About a Thing"...I still can't get over those chord resolutions and the way he is able to cruise right through all those key changes. Masterful.
I love Stevie ❤️ so he is still relevant for today, safe haven for times like these also appreciate Lionel Richie still The stylistics have my heart 💙💜💜
The first album of his series of spiritual albums, all of which started after he almost died in 1972, after making "Where I'm Coming From." Maybe He came back from somewhere and was reborn and then...THIS album, followed by two others. Each of which won the Grammy for Album of The Year. 3 years in a row. It all started here. I remember this from 1973; it was magical.
Hmm … I think your time frame might be a little off. Music Of My Mind followed Where I’m Coming From. Then came Talking Book, Innervisions, Fulfillingness’ First Finale and Songs In The Key Of Life. The last three were each awarded album of the year status at the Grammys, but it was three out of four years, not three in a row. And he almost died in 1973 shortly after Innervisions was released, not before. Unless I’m forgetting something.
My last yr in high school: I remember listening to this "album", looking at the jacket, Stevie played all the instruments, wrote all the songs...mindblowing!
*listen up youngsters - this is the essence of real music*
I agree with you 100
@@markpowell4489 thx Mark i agree with me too

This man is truly the 8th wonder of the world. The definition of musical genius, shows a pic of Stevie Wonder.
Amen, my friend. ❤
He was only 22 when he wrote this, amazing talent!!
Big deal.
And played practically every instrument on the album

Talent is not age.based. its soul based. Blacks and whites are different....thank god.
It still sounds fresh after all these years.
JUST ANOTHER ONE OF STEVIE WONDERS GREAT SONGS...😷😁...
This song is never played. I know he had great hits, but this is the one that takes me away.
It makes me want to go back to the 70s (my childhood).
Doesn't it? Just beautiful....

Interesting comment, I wonder as well.

He is like the one and only. There are so many others, I mean I LOVE Luther and Earth Wind and Fire, but ... oh my ... Stevie is absolutely heaven sent.
We are looking into the mind of our beloved genious
Genius? Yeah, I suppose. I mean if being multi-talented and prolific is your idea of genius, then sure, you can call him that. :)

I HEARD THIS SONG BACK IN JUNE OF 1974......I WAS 14 AT THE TIME.....AND LIFE WAS SO WONDERFUL WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN THE SUMMER.

such a beautiful song with a haunting chorus.
This is one of Stevie Wonder's best songs he ever wrote, GOLDEN LADY
I agree
One of the best bass players in the world is Stevie Wonders left hand . . .
Who is it?...
"Stevie left hand is better than most bass players" someone once told me. he's not a Bass, but he has a mean left.
Literally Stevie's left hand on the keyboard (this is a bass played on keys)
I'm just trying to imagine his left hand moving all over those keys - f'ing incredible!!!
Stevie Wonder plays piano & Keyboards, not the bass.
Such a thrilling song!
