I once tried singing one of his songs during karaoke night and failed miserably. I thought I'd be alright because there weren't any super high notes, but his delivery is what makes his songs. His tone, his riffs, seamless key changes, and his intuitive musicality that I definitely didn't have. Many people can sing a song, but only masters can create magic.
Protect this Legend at all costs pls. Stevie Wonder, is one of a kind. They don't make em like this no more! You can tell James was so happy to be there with Stevie, especially when he got teary eyed.
Disney Creates Dreams a bit of trivia: Stevie wasn’t born blind; he was born with normal sight but was a bit jaundiced, and was kept in the incubator too long and it damaged his eyes.
@David Michaels Black people's skin is *not* thicker. The reason darker skin often looks "younger" longer is because the pigment melanin helps protects the skin from some of the damaging rays of the sun. The assumption of "thicker skin" has led to tons of historical brutality against Blacks from ignoramuses who assume they don't feel pain, can bear more pain--people from brutal police to poorly trained doctors who deny pain medication to Black people who are in severe pain. Maybe the melanin is compensation for some of the thin-skinned know-it-alls with whom they now share the planet.
You can see that James Corden is such a genuine guy, the way his love for his wife brings him to tears 🥺🥺 the hate for him is so unwarranted! Going to miss this show so much
Stevie Wonder is untouchable! Enjoy and cherish him while you can because the greats seem to be leaving us by the chunks year after year. This genius is invaluable. Go to concerts if you can before it's too late! Recognize the legend while he's still here before it's too late! And pass the music ON.
Absolutely! But such a genius never will leave us - his music will live forever! Thank you Stevie for all your magnificent music and uplifting energy! Infinite love all of your music!
To all of you who are not happy. There is nothing wrong with you just because this video doesnt make you happy even tho Cap lock has a point. Thank you for listening.
Well, this is going onto me “Cheer me up” list, along with the David Tennant-Catherine Tate Schoolroom episode of the Catherine Tate show, the “Dean Cat Scream,” especially the Blooper one, and every Hillywood Parody and Jake Dudman video. I love great singing, impressions, parodies (ones in good taste anyway) and I take pleasure from the Joy James is showing and Stevie’s love of Life. I don’t necessarily think there’s something inherently wrong with a person who doesn’t enjoy this, some may simply not be able to find joy in light-hearted things, I know what Cap Lock means though. This is full of very positive, infectious good energy, but you have to be able and willing to let it in. I’m depressed about much of my Life like nobody’s business, but the trick is to look for things to ENJOY in what you experience, not look for mistakes, errors, or other negative bits. I have a dear friend who is a TOTAL “Eeyore.” He’s a really nice guy, but he is always depressed because he chooses to look down on himself, has seen Doctors but gave up when he’d try a prescription drug for a few weeks (those shouldn’t be over prescribed, but he really does need something to start off with, until he can do it on his own) and it didn’t work (some take a couple months at least), he’d give up, and left them when they told him he needed to take control to try and change things (he heard it as “...suck it up or live with it.”) So I asked him when he told me that “Do you think you DON’T have to do that as a starting point?” Well. He never answered me and wouldn’t talk to me for about two weeks. (I have anxiety disorders too, I was a mess until I found some true friends in High School.) Them I CHOSE to BELIEVE I was a likable person. They were real friends. That was the first step. And I and my boyfriend and a few other people have really tried to get Eeyore out of his slump. But, bottom line, I think he just plain doesn’t want to. He doesn’t want to enjoy things too much, doesn’t want to feel too much, because that can lead to pain. I know many, many years ago he had a secret fiancée who killed herself. He hasn’t volunteered the whole story and I won’t ask. But it breaks my heart he takes so little joy in things, because he has a good heart. His brain just keeps F’ing with him. And he’s rarely moved by stuff. He is a Whovian, though, and did manage to drum up a smidge of emotion at the pivotal museum scene in “Vincent and The Doctor.” Now, if you don’t get moved by that, you’ve a dead heart. And don’t say “It’s only a TV show.” That’s NOT how shows like Doctor Who should be watched, they aren’t clinical, like Xrays, something to study but not let it do what it’s meant to, you need to let yourself INTO that world, suspend your disbelief and let it draw you in. I really pity people who cant do that. And most episodes don’t move my Eeyore (hey, Eeyore was always my favorite character in W.T.P!) friend. But that one did. As did “The Angels Take Manhattan.” Oh, and on an interesting note, I showed him a James Corden skit (he remembered one of the episodes where James was on Doctor Who) and he actually said he really enjoyed it. So I’ll share more with him. Maybe it will help lighten the big gray cloud over his head. So, not liking this doesn’t make you a bad person. It may mean you’re a Negative Nellie (or Nathan) by Nature. You may have a wall (“A big, beautiful wall, a yuge wall, with a huge door in it, and places you can see through because you have to see what’s on the other side!” 🙄) up. There a several reasons. I’d say if you’re not one of the near 48 million people who enjoyed this, though, you may want to do a little self-perusal...
@@colebypaton538 I love McCartney, but to be fair Stevie Wonder didn't have a Ringo or Lennon, that's beside the fact of Stevie's proficiency at 10 different instruments despite his blindness and being a black man starting his career in 1960s America which was much more receptive to the clean cut European Beatles
@@colebypaton538 I respect that. We all have our favorites and our opinions. Rarely have I witnessed people changing their minds especially in a discussion forum. It's OK to disagree, just be respectful, that's what my dad would always say. Peace.

Stevie Wonder is probably the most talented musician alive. A living legend! Can't believe he is 67 years old this year. He looks, acts and seems so much younger! Hope he will be able to tour and continue to make new great music for many years to come!
Several days ago, I finished listening to Stevie's entire songbook on Spotify. As a radio DJ with 25 years of experience playing any music genre under the sun, I can safely say that he is a songwriting giant. I am very picky in my selections, but I managed to archive 237 of his songs. His melodic and harmonic inventiveness is awe-inspiring, and his use of modulation is the best in the business.
He’s the greatest American musician of all time and the greatest songwriter of the 20th century. His peers in music are long dead and long yet to come.
@@Boogalyhu He is ONE of the greatest POPULAR music singer-songwriters not only of America but also of the world. But, when you start with the hyperbole, your post loses all credibility and smacks of carrying a nationalist monkey on your back. I'm pretty sure that you haven't listened to enough of even popular music to know what you're talking about, let alone other genres, such as classical or jazz, which are infinitely more complex and sophisticated.
@@deanronson6331 I am a very experienced music listeners with extensive knowledge and collection in everything from jazz, to rock, to electronic, to hip hip, to R&B, etc. Everything from Duke Ellington to Fela Kuti to The Prodigy. Stevie is the best songwriter of the 20th century in my opinion. This is not an uncommon opinion in both music fan and creator spaces. Since you seem to adhere to the academic veneration of Jazz and Classical, take a look at what Miles Davis had to say about Stevie in his prime. I respect if you have a different opinion, but my opinion is not perceived as hyperbole in serious music discussion spaces. It quite a common one.

Protect this Legend at all costs pls. Stevie Wonder, is one of a kind. They don't make em like this no more! You can tell James was so happy to be there with Stevie, especially when he got teary eyed.
This was so charming, especially the part where James called his wife.
oh gosh me too
I nearly cried
I cried too! ❤
U
It was so sweet of him
I love Stevie, his concert was amazing years ago, all his records are the best from this LEGEND-Love, KC
literally cried when he sang to his wife, how absolutely amazing and beautiful!!!!!! Love this one!
James did too
Omg metoooo! Such a wreck 😫
Which wive theres 5
Stevie is the smartest, gifted man ever. Born blind and taught himself the piano by the touch of the keys. Just brilliant.
Disney Creates Dreams ..also wrote and produced some great songs too you know..lol just messing with you. Truly a wonder!
Disney Creates Dreams a bit of trivia: Stevie wasn’t born blind; he was born with normal sight but was a bit jaundiced, and was kept in the incubator too long and it damaged his eyes.
Indeed. A lovely person.
No, you’re thinking of ray charles.
Disney Creates Dreams my thoughts exactly
Omg the moment where stevie calls james' wife and james starts to get teary! So much love, respect and appreciation and simply just in awe 😍 love it!
Driving in a car, with Stevie Wonder, listening to Stevie Wonder... Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me!
I think that's the happiest I've seen James ever in any carpool. That was really good to watch. ❤
Maria Garginian and the one with Paul McCartney
Yeah you forgot the Paul McCartney one haha
I agree. It was heartwarming to watch.
He actually quotes stevie calling his wife as his favourite carpool karaoke moment ever on vogue 73 q's
That's because hes with a proper musician and star. Not today's turds.
Stevie's dressed appropriately for the part.
Sensei Wonder.
Jamal Dantata I CRACKED UP SHYT HAHA
Jamal Dantata everybody was kung fu fighting
Stevie's skin... no wrinkles. His skin is flawless...gorgeous!
Omg ikr imagine having that perfect skin for 70 years. Like damn he could even look like that when he’s 100 😂
@David Michaels You're so right.
@@carpet7398 and then we have prince charles
@David Michaels Black people's skin is *not* thicker. The reason darker skin often looks "younger" longer is because the pigment melanin helps protects the skin from some of the damaging rays of the sun. The assumption of "thicker skin" has led to tons of historical brutality against Blacks from ignoramuses who assume they don't feel pain, can bear more pain--people from brutal police to poorly trained doctors who deny pain medication to Black people who are in severe pain. Maybe the melanin is compensation for some of the thin-skinned know-it-alls with whom they now share the planet.
And 15 year old me with acne 😩
You can see that James Corden is such a genuine guy, the way his love for his wife brings him to tears 🥺🥺 the hate for him is so unwarranted! Going to miss this show so much
Stevie Wonder is untouchable! Enjoy and cherish him while you can because the greats seem to be leaving us by the chunks year after year. This genius is invaluable. Go to concerts if you can before it's too late! Recognize the legend while he's still here before it's too late! And pass the music ON.
Agreed
Absolutely! But such a genius never will leave us - his music will live forever! Thank you Stevie for all your magnificent music and uplifting energy! Infinite love all of your music!
I agree!!!
Couldn't agree more 👍🏼👍🏼
@@virasusanty1456 RIP nipsey
It’s such a shame that Freddie Mercury couldn’t do one of these
Agreed
John Lennon and George Harrison too
Lets dig him up!
Michael Jackson would’ve loved this as well
David bowie could have but he didnt
Stevie Wonder hasn't lost a step! His voice sounds exactly like it did in his earlier days. Not all artists can make that claim.
He can't get up the pitch as he could but it's Still incredible how great it sounds!
Little lower yea. That nature. Still voice in great shape!!
MixingGBP it doesnt sound exactly the same its alot more nasal
MixingGBP he needs to release new music
@@louisaddeo-weiss5690
He needs to do nothing if he so desires.
Don't be greedy.
Yes, a golden voice.. what a gift !! Love his fun and humorous attitude.. good good songs.. glad we grew up with his music !!! So lucky
If this doesn't make you feel really happy and good inside there's something wrong with you
Cap lock productions 😉😊
I guess theres something wrong with me
Cap lock productions something is wrong with me.
I have a dear friend who is a TOTAL “Eeyore.”
He’s a really nice guy, but he is always depressed because he chooses to look down on himself, has seen Doctors but gave up when he’d try a prescription drug for a few weeks (those shouldn’t be over prescribed, but he really does need something to start off with, until he can do it on his own) and it didn’t work (some take a couple months at least), he’d give up, and left them when they told him he needed to take control to try and change things (he heard it as “...suck it up or live with it.”) So I asked him when he told me that “Do you think you DON’T have to do that as a starting point?”
Well.
As did “The Angels Take Manhattan.”
Oh, and on an interesting note, I showed him a James Corden skit (he remembered one of the episodes where James was on Doctor Who) and he actually said he really enjoyed it.
RIP to MJ & Whitney, this man is the greatest musician still living in 2024
Hands down!
One of them I wouldn't say the greatest though. In my opinion it would be Paul McCartney
Peace.

Stevie's blind, but he gave a colorful life to us who can see, bcoz of his music. Thankyou Stevie! You're legendary ❤️ we love you from the Philippines 🇵🇭

*Watching Stevie you can tell how much he truly loves music, more than anyone I'm aware of. It's just so pure, beautiful.*
When he sings I feel like, I'm seeing his inside more than anything... he is surely uncomperable, pure and beautiful indeed. he makes fall inlove with him, over and over again...🙃🥰😇
Stevie's songs are timeless. They make me so happy like they did when I heard them as a kid. He is amazing and so talented.
Funny. I love Stevie's voice. So much talent

Stevie Wonder is probably the most talented musician alive. A living legend! Can't believe he is 67 years old this year. He looks, acts and seems so much younger! Hope he will be able to tour and continue to make new great music for many years to come!
Oskar can't forget Michael Jackson
I read it wrong my bad 💀
Oskar I agree. Stevie is definitely one of the best. We gotta appreciate our legends while they are alive.

'Driving'
@@CharlieStubbs03 i dont think he was driving in this episode
It’s way nicer since he’s had to live his whole life blind as well
Yeah he also drove with a member of The Beatles before
Several days ago, I finished listening to Stevie's entire songbook on Spotify.
Thank you 🎉🎉🎉🎉
He’s the greatest American musician of all time and the greatest songwriter of the 20th century.
Wow! Amazing!! Yes Prince once said that Stevie is the greatest song writer of our time! He’s just an amazing human being in general
You got Stevie Wonder in the car, you can really just turn off the radio completely.

This is so cool that Stevie Wonder was willing to do this. A lot of the legends don't like doing fun things like this. Great show!!!
I read that this was the longest time James spent with anyone on this segment. Stevie wanted to just keep going!
