I was never a German car fan on till my son bought a x3 I fell in love now he has a 328 , I got to do his rear brakes and I was in awe with the engineering and no rust on a 2013 ( I leave in north east) lots rust needles to say with the proper Maintenance and care Mercedes and bmw for life

Are you crazy. BMW is trash. They are the ultimate Money pit. All the high end Germans cars are perfectly fine to lease because they were designed to run well within the lease period . BMW being the worst. Speaking of which, BMW today is a shell of what they used to be.

I used to think so to, but I traded my BMW in for a TESLA and it blows away anything I've ever been in. And I've had the pleasure to drive many BMW , MB and even a Rolls a few times, nothing comes close to the Model S, well maybe the new Roadster which I isn't out yet, lol!

Except for the 2017 AMG SLC43 which has a nine speed toque converter slush box. It doesn't let you manual shift on your own without the electronics taking command. But hey! It's like driving a Nissan with a CVT. haha
I see, it's a crossplane crankshaft. No wonder it sounds exactly like an american V8 with a slightly higher pitch sound.
Firing Order also impacts sound. Same as exhaust system. U can see the influence of exhaust systems if u sound compare the AMG V8 powered Aston with the AMG GTR
