Sadly the majority of the people most notably Americans under the age of 40 have no clue as to what good music is anymore. They've been bombarded with cheap corporate pseudo music for years. It is nice to see that some are starting to realize this. What better way is there to take a healthy dose of the red pill than with a big tall glass of BAND-MAID! Rock didn't really die, it just moved to Japan.
Hahahaha. GSpotter63, I must agree with you. I must admit I have been a little corrupted by the corporate music machine, but I grew up listening to 70's and 80's music, mostly rock. So, I try to keep my mind open. This was a good choice to listen to. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing! If you're looking for a hard rock band (not metal) with catchy melody or chorus, you've got the right one! I enjoyed your reaction, but would like to emphasize one thing. The lead guitar and the drums are prominent in this particular song, but the key element in this is the bass phrases, imho. It really drives the song so so well. Specially right at the beginning. And that melodious solo! It was perfect in this high intense feeling. She could've been super super technical, but she didn't choose to play crazy technical things, on purpose, I guess. Why no vocalist on "From Now On"? They perform all their songs live, exactly as you see them here. Saiki, their vocalist asked Kanami to write instrumentals in order to give her voice a break during concerts. Saiki has a wonderful voice, but she's already had one surgery to remove polyps from her vocal cords, so she is now very careful not to overstress her voice. Band-Maid performs HARD ROCK about 90% of the time and they do it quite well, but when they perform softer, slower songs they are amazing. Examples of such are: "About Us", "Page", "Puzzle"(Acoustic version), or "Smile"(acoustic version - if you can find it) They are one of few bands that can deconstruct their hard rock songs and transform them into acoustic versions that sound as good or better than the hard versions. "Thrill" was their first big hit. "Daydreaming" is a ballad that features both vocalists and one of the most heart-piercing guitar solos Kanami has ever written. React to any of their "Official Live Versions" - Band-Maid's live performances are incredibly good and those videos are excellent recordings.

Glad you liked it. They can play any genre, and to to be honest they became their own genre. Dig deeper, you'll find gems ;-) Even ballads, pop, bluesy songs etc etc..
I'd normally warn you not to stop during Kanami solos or fans will tell you off- but nearly this whole song is one long solo lol- so you kinda have to!
BAND-MAID's view numbers are low for a couple of reasons. Some people are scared off because they think they're just some gimmicky J-Pop group because of the name. Others are musicians who can't accept the fact that no matter how good they get they'll never be as good as them.
