    Yes the cross is a medieval horse harness pendant nice find normally pieces broken off

    My first c scope was an aluminium tube bent in to a ring and an aluminium tube as the shaft and bent at the end for the handle, I found loads with that.

    A great detector like the whites machines it had to be set and balanced perfect slow recovery but last a lifetime like most cscopes

    Bought my R1 in 2000, Still using it. Only been serviced by C-SCOPE once, how's that for reliability! It out performed Garretts and Fishers and still does. C-Scope please bring it back!

      Now thats a very good point, Gary. I didn't notice it until you mentioned it, and I watched the video back. Its sometime of meter isn't it? I'll have to ask the C.Scope chaps...

      From the original instructions:-
      GROUND RADAR SIMULATOR
      This unique continuously scrolling RADAR is a view of the signal received by the R1 circuit. It can be used as an additional tool to analyse any signals. It is also a useful Pin Pointing aid. It is visible in both full screen search mode and when the first level menus are displayed. The sensitivity of the RADAR display is controlled by the Pin Point Gain setting
      .
      In other words, a large object is identified by a "mountainous" shape on the screen, whilst a coin or similar, is identified by a "sharp peak"
