- After years of being a forbidden fruit in America, the #FordRangerRaptor has finally arrived in the USA for 2024. Known as the #GlobalRaptor in other markets, the newest #RangerRaptor is in its 2nd generation globally, and based on the all-new 5th generation #FordRanger. The #Raptor adds some specific hardware upgrades from its big brothers #BroncoRaptor and #F150Raptor. Its the performance off-road midsize truck that could challenge that dominance of the Tacoma TRD Pro and Colorado ZR2.

The dealbreaker for me is dealing with Ford dealerships and their stupid markups because I am interested in this truck.
Ford has lower markups than all of Toyota’s brands overall.
@The-fs5wn yup they're about the same if not worse depending on the model.
There's no such thing as a mark up on vehicles. Dealers/Retailers are the ones that set actual price, not the manufacturer. MSRP doesn't take into consideration Market forces, inflation or demand, sometimes MSRP is MC (Manufacturers Cost to the Retailer). Based on market forces, we've seen dealers discount vehicles sometimes of to $10k-$15k which a manufacturer would never do. So no, no markup on vehicles, just the market price. Dealers according to manufacturers can mark up a vehicle, service or parts as much as they want for their desired profit margins and can also discount. MSRP is a baseline for what each model cost, but it doesn't correlates to actual market price.
I’m only paying 2500 over. When paying this much for a brand new truck it’s not really a deal breaker

Exactly. The stealerships are destroying the truck market with their insatiable greed. I can't even buy their "affordable" Maverick. The stealership in my city marked the Mavericks up a ridiculous $2k right on the lot. They can rot for all I care. I'm not interested.
Like it or not, the Ranger Raptor is a Super Truck!
Don't get me wrong, I like Sofyan's reviews. BUT it makes me smile when he talks about the Ranger needing 35" tires when a few years ago during the Jeep Gladiator reveal he was afraid to drive the Jeep up a hill on an off-road course that Jeep had made. If memory serves me correctly he had his photographer drive that part of the course.
I remember 5 years ago in 2019, I considered buying a Ford F150 Raptor. The starting price was just 54k. How much has changed in 5 years.

Definitely needs a sunroof my 2018 had the panoramic roof raptor. I even have a maverick with the sunroof so it would be a dealbreaker for me.

@@sunchaser999 Yeah, i agree with you! i have a glass panoramic roof in my car, and it really does add a ton of light, and when there's no sun, my auto sunshade hides the glass. the best of both worlds to me!

What’s different to the Australian version
The midsize market in the US is blessed with great options man, the Raptor is the most powerful with a V6, the TRD Pro has the most torque and Hybrid, the Trailhunter is the best for overlanding, the AT4X and ZR2 are probably the most well equipped offroaders. For me personally the near-perfect package would be the Tacoma TRD Off-Road Premium package, which is my favourite midsize trim.
US is flush with a TON of gimmicky packages 99% of people will literally never use. Don't need "off road" capability to haul your mulch from Home Depot

I rarely ever use the sunroof in my vehicles. I actually prefer not to have a sunroof as it saves weight and adds headroom.
I look forward to buying one in 5 years when it’s a reasonable price. My 05 Tacoma will do until then

I thought that it had direct and port injection?! I passed on the bronco raptor because it only had direct injection. The valves are gonna be a problem like the old eco boost.
I like the powertrain, especially the Auto-4WD.

Buddy why do you need a sunroof in a performance off road truck. There is really no point plus if you know when you start adding things like a sunroof then you weaken the upper part of the roof of the truck because you essentially put a hole in there with no performance purpose. Plus one less thing to break and have to fix.

I sell cars and have owned sunroofs in 20 vehicles that I’ve owned or my partner has owned, guess what? No issues with any sunroof/moonroof. I agree with most of the rest of your comment.

A truck is manly used for working for the most part and it can be used for a pleasures vehicle also but a sunroof serves no function or purpose to the truck in any way shape or form and all it is is just more wasted money. You could use that money for bigger and better tires and other accessories that would benefit not just the truck but you also.
Ford knows the R-tards will buy this truck because of its limited build run and high price, no need in appealing to everyone.
The lack of a shark fin antenna cheapens the whole truck, even though dealers will have a blast with markups

Dealerships are marking up $20,000 and taking bids on the Ranger Raptor, I was told to place my bid, $59 is $79k then bid on it, FORD has lost touch with its customers.

If u look under the front seats in the video u can see that there are vents on the floor for the rear

Sunroof isnt necessary for me, i prefer the headroom. Ac vents in the rear however is something they should do.

As someone who grew up with V8 trucks, currently owns a V6 powered truck and has a turbo 4 truck on order....no truck without a V8 sounds good IMO. I would rather all the midsize trucks be quieter rather than louder unless someone puts a V8 in one.

They should move all the Raptor products inside a new Raptor brand that only sells factory direct.
I intentionally seek out vehicles WITHOUT a sunroof. Reduces head space, adds weight, and is one more thing that can stop working. I once drove 500 miles to buy the only Camaro SS 1LE I could find without a sunroof. Such an odd thing to be a “dealbreaker” for some buyers, I’m glad this truck doesn’t have one because it was one less button click to customize my order!

Their not. Of the few of us that want em even fewer ever pony up for a new one. It's not worth their time and it's our fault on this one. atleast modern autos aren't as bad as the ones from the 90s.
Great truck. Don’t get why they can’t put rear air vents in these things. Have a family so rear space and amenities matter. Sucks this is only offered on their full-size trucks… why? Gladiator has vents and 4”’s more rear legroom.

Raptor Ranger will be the Baja runner. Colorado ZR2 Bison will be the rock crawler. It’s looks like each was purposely built for a different niche to prevent direct competition. Question is, where does Toyota fit in this?

Shame on Ford for deleting the rear AIR VENTS and the GRAB HANDLES from the USA version of the Ranger Raptor. That was just a trouble move on their part for their USA customers and they need to add the F150 glass panel roof for the Ranger would be a nice option also. I do not know who they talk to about what their customers want but it is the wrong people. How do you know what your customer wants when the sunroof was never offered on the Ranger. So Ford give us our rear Air Vents, Grab Handles back and also cooled seats and F150 glass roof too.
I think the price is worth the engine. Shouldn't be able to flip it over because of their being a little Nero

How much utility do we get out of the part of car reviews where the reviewer bemoans harder plastics in the back seat? That’s not an important thing to spend money on in mass market vehicles. This is the same reason we are cursed with hideous exposed USB ports on everything now: reviewers bemoaning that they had to take fifteen seconds to find the usb port-which, mind you, they really only had to find once!
