Wix filter was once owned and controlled by Dana Corporation out of North Carolina. However, Mann, German filters purchased that division a few years back. Mann has factories throughout the world to include China, Poland and the US to make a few countries. All Wix filters have always exceeded industry standards for filtration.

Purolator Boss air/oil filters are expensive but virtually bulletproof too.
The mechanic at the Nissan shop saw my K&N and said use paper filters instead. He said the oil can foil the MAF sensor.
Oil from filter will definitely have a negative effect on MAF sensor.

THANKS, for commenting..Interestingly, I just stopped K& N air Air Filters , two vehicles (one , 130,000+, & new 2015 DODGE Journey 4 / CYL {30,000 miles, Miles here In high Dust HELENA Valleys) .. And two other vehicles, careful using K& N li,img, etc, ::** never any “”noticeable”issues : MAF, FOULING, dirty Oil/ Silicates(?), Oil Comsumption,etc. **However**, looking at : DEEP ANALYSIS OIL( one ), Scotty Kilmer AIR FILTER USE, SOME engineering investigations of auto air, & some reports MAF, STC.:: I switched to OEM. ACTUALLY, the automotive Engineers, developers, Original Manufacturers **probably **(?) ,best bet for Vehicle stuff ( developments,engineering, gas mileage, sense….)… Filtration Engineering is complex , esp in todays Cars/ Trucks….. Obviously, some of after-Market products are “:good”, too.
Wix is owned by MANN+Hummel and are sold almost solemnly under that brand in the EU. Great filters produced mainly in Europe (EU) and North America.
I really like Fram air filters but I won’t use their oil filters .

Motul has synthetic oil, racing. But not all oils they have are synthetic. Racing oil is not for everyday drivers.
They used to be with a lot of their 8100 oils. Now they use primarily group 3 basestocks based on their safety data sheets available on their website.

Thanks… good short, overview…. Yes, & I too have had “clogging up(* I view sunlight/ bright LEDS), just a month or two driving : get an incredible OCCULSIVE amount of dust/debris / organic matter in AIR FILTER….. esp here in HELENA Valley, MT ( my one vehicle,front air intake is fairly “exposed “, Journey 2015….) Basically, I sent to OEM IN both :: interestingly did use K& N “ carefully in four Vehicles, many years ( **never a MAFlow, sensors,silicates,,DUST oil problems apparently )…..however DUST LOAD here is continuing,and FOAM PASSAGES, seem problematic,etc..yea, a lot of NAPA see to be made Poland, etc. ..thanks

I use Wix and Wix XP or Fram Ultra oil filters: best quality-value for the money. I used to use Wix air filters, but my Honda OEM air filters have more pleats--nearly double! My local Honda OEM sells them within $2 of the price of a Wix. Understand that the more pleats on an air filter, the more surface area, the more filtration capacity, and the better protection. Wix air filters are my 2nd choice. I swap them out every year and a half. Cheers! 😊

They are not anymore b/c they are made in China for my Toyota Camry LE 2.4 litre F2AZ oil burning engine. Fram is what I use now for both cabin & Air Filter. Plus it's not made in China.
Just because it's made in China, it's not necessarily bad quality. 99% of cell phones and electronics made in China .

Nice Review. Would love to see some testing of the filters. Dynamic, destructive and comparison testing vs ad claims by the brand.
When my channel reaches 1 million subscribers and I will be able to purchase 100 thousands of dollars testing equipment and will be testing everything under the sun per comment. But for now I have no choice but to use and present what is available to us for free or for little cost. Thank you for suggestions.
