    This is great. Gonna do this while I work in front of the computer. Thank you!

    This is really excellent. I've been wondering how to increase my speed, and strength. I have an insanely stumpy pinkie finger, too, so that's not helping. At least now I can work on making it stronger, and faster. Much appreciated!

      Man, I'm so glad you liked it...it's a really great exercise and one that is so easy to do anywhere. You'll find yourself getting much stronger and faster if you keep it up!

    My left ring finger is totally dysfunctional - is that normal? I can hardly lift it let alone tap it down…

    • @MaxRichMusic

      If you can't lift it it's probably because you're leaving the pinky finger down. Try tapping it while the pinky floats in the air. Let me know if that helps and if not, shoot me an email and we can work through it.

    You say stay relax while playing but you have to be tensed to play this right? Because we have to move the fingers other way too . By the way great lessons

      I'm not sure what you mean by "move the fingers the other way too".
      But you should always remain as relaxed as possible in the joints and muscles that aren't being used. if it's your middle finger that's moving then there should be no tension in your wrist or any other finger, for example.
      Thanks for the comment and for watching!

      @@MaxRichMusic move the fingers other way i mean when you try to play with a finger it will be in air before playing but when you completely relaxed fingers automatically come down to the surface or string. There is some tension needed i think to keep the fingers ready to play

      Are you talking about your picking or fretting hand?

      @@MaxRichMusic i am talking about the fretting hand

    • @MaxRichMusic
      @MaxRichMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well for the fretting it's slightly dependent on how you position your thumb and what style you play, but generally you should try to be as close to 0% tension as possible at all times. It might not always be exactly 0% but try to get close. The most important thing is that when one finger is moving, the other fingers, hand, wrist etc. have no tension. It's really common to increase tension in one part of your hand while moving a completely separate part...that's what you really want to avoid.

    My take away is I should have learned to play the guitar left handed
