Wassup man great video! I’m about to study CS and just wanted to know your opinion on using a MacBook M2 Air as a CS student? Do you think it’s powerful enough or do you think that a pro is definitely needed?
I think that it can work. The only issue is that if you’re getting the base model air it come with 8gb of ram and I’d honestly upgrade that but then you’re coming up on a base MacBook Pro which comes with 16gb ram already. So to answer your question yes it’ll work but you may hit bottlenecks when you have multiple apps open at a time (chrome/vs code or other ide’s)
I have a dilemma I can buy the m2 pro 16 inch for 2500 here in Europe or the m3 pro 16 inch for 3129 , the difference in price is massive I feel while the experience I feel like it will be the same
It will be and technically the m2 is ”faster“. Honestly not much of a difference between them so def save money and use the rest to get accessories like ssd storage or headphones

I bought my M2 MacBook Pro in January 2023 and as of this date my battery health is also at 87%. :(
