Dude the HD 5770 was the first card I used in my first gaming PC build in 2010. Literally the dream PC for me, I wish I still had that build. That card will forever be my favorite card. The build was an AMD Phenom II X4 980, with 12GB DDR3, 1TB HDD and a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5
@@gabecapps Me too. I'm currently using a PC with a GTX 670 Gigabyte Windforce, it runs great. But I got a Ryzen 7 2700x. Still an AMD fanboy obviously lol.
Glad to see you entered into the cardboard arena. I will add you to the spreadsheet. It's kind of cool how the top of the box is like a "lid". It's like the hood of a hot rod car. Beware of a man that has electrical tape. Anything is possible. 1:31 Seagates have a year week date code if I see correctly, would be 2003 1:56 that is a eeprom slot for custom rom things LOL
Hey Gabe! Just some more knowledge for the people out there, those "bottleneck calculator" websites aren't always accurate. Either way Love the video! also joined your discord :)
Thank you! Even if it isn’t always accurate, I do think it is something nice to add just to give an idea of what the hardware will be like. I tried getting MSI afterburner, but I was having issues with DirectX with this gpu!
I had my c2d e6400 in the same case that housed my first pc, a amd k6-2. It survived a few iterations. I helped friends on a budget build basic rigs for cheap that would handle online games like cs1.6 - most of them skipped the case and started their machines by shorting the pins on the motherboard with an improvised piece of metal.
That vintage asus motherboard is a nice board with an nvidia chipset. It has an Athlon XP or a Sempron installed. That thing itself is worth the $20 you paid for the lot. I have one of these myself in my Athlon XP build paired with an Athlon XP 3200+ (the fastest CPU these boards can run), 2GB in dual channel (1×1GB + 2×512MB) and a Radeon X850 Pro. Also does that AM3 motherboard support crossfire? There are ultra chap Radeon HD 5770s out there. You know what you have to turn that into a $30 crossfire PC.
@rmcdudmk212 yes, these chips were called Athlon XP. The mobo is a little too new for the earlier Thunderbird Athlons and Durons. Also way too expensive at the time to put such an outdated chip into it.
thanks for this video! i built a 30€ pc recently which is of similar age: i7-860 (free) HD 6870 (from a components lot) 8GB DDR3 (from another system) 120GB SSD from Aliexpress 775 cooler i bolted onto the motherboard Gigabyte GA P55M UD2 i got for 2€ in an auction 250GB HDD from a parts lot 500W Cooler Master PSU from the same lot old case i got for free from a friend also it has both an ide and a sata dvd drive lmao
I had something very similar in 2009. I purchased and customized a build around these specs for a south Korean online instance based action rpg almost exclusively along with starting my teen years steam library officially. Crazy he did a 2009 machine for $20 present day.
I stayed tuned! anyway, did you know that you can find full computers on the side of the road on trash pickup day? Thats right, FREE! Ive found probably 700 dollars worth of pc parts through this method. not to mention other things like law equipment
so he used a passmark score. Good. bad with the antec psu, that was atx 20 pin atx it will work in the 24 pin of that motherboard, context those antec psus usually came inside antec cases.
I like referring to things like that, since that is what I check when I look up parts! That antec psu more than likely goes to the vintage motherboard that came with all the parts!!
You put 3 sticks of RAM in... I was going to remind you that dual channel on this is ADJACENT in same colour slots... A1 B1 A2 B2, on modern boards, dual channel is usually skip one
On the original xbox one and ps4, not the pro or one x, runs at 720p, 30 fps, for both of those games, they use built in upscaling that the consoles use!
i buit one for free. it was quite easy i bought an intel 2. and a 3. gen brand pc. i fused them together and sold the leftover pc for 3 bucks more than the price of the two combined(i still have parts left). specs: 16gb ddr3 ram, i5 2500, gt 640 3gb 192bit, 120gb ssd, 2tb hdd. i even got more money than i had edit: i liked the video anyways it was amusing
You could have used the Antec. The 4pin is designed to sit next to the 20pin connector. It could be used with older 20pin mobos, or the then "newer" 24pin versions
Should we make a build with that vintage motherboard??
absolutely
You have to get an old vintage case aswell
@@mochaisfam5479 Oh I will!!
homie tryna make a windows xp XD
Yes

That is very similar to this build! I wish they still made cool looking gpu’s like they used to, I was never able to really get one like this!

I built a similar PC 13 years ago , bought everything from Tiger Direct. I still have all of the parts 😂 Identical GPU to your HD5770.
The GPU still looks clean to this day!!
Another certified banger!!! Such creative problem solving👏

I was thinking an XP era Athlon. Looks similar to a board my buddy had back in the day.

That’s a pretty good build considering the price!! Old i7’s are still reliable, I use an i7-6700 in my main build!!
@@gabecapps yeah the first gen i7 is kinda slow even compared to the 2nd gen i was using years ago 😂 but at least it was fun to build
@finnbianga4189 I used the second gen i7 in my $50 gaming pc build!!
It's really amazing how you build your pc case. Simple yet effective.
I had to improvise lol!!
I’m really not into vintage stuff but nice.
dude this video is really good you earned a sub
Thanks man! I’m glad you enjoyed!!

awesome content man, you remind me of Bringus studios kinda.
Thanks man, he was an inspiration for me to start doing things like this!
the goddamn case lmao. good job

I did not realize that! Thank you
gaming
Somehow this build runs games better than a gt710
I think as long as your graphics card requires external power, it’s probably gonna be more powerful than those Gt cards lol!
i have a i5 3470 and hd 6450 and can play valorant with 60 fps and a min of 48 more or less
Quit flexing on us and make something way cheaper 🙄
Fr we need the $0.50 pc
how did you play a game using 1080p? while your monitor is not even a 1080p
My monitors are 1080p!
My friend found his old pc in his attic we turned it on and the pc started shooting electricit and no post is it normal?
I would make sure that all dust is removed off the parts, and that there is no mold or water damage!!
think gta 5 and fallout 4 ran 30 on 1080 so I don't think it beats the Xbox One or ps4
On the original xbox one and ps4, not the pro or one x, runs at 720p, 30 fps, for both of those games, they use built in upscaling that the consoles use!

the psu id not propriatary it just old 20 pin was before 24pin
I’m guessing it hooks up to the vintage motherboard!! Might have to do something with that, maybe an XP build??

Can it run roblox tho?
More than likely! The only reason it wouldn’t would be because I had issues downloading direct x.
