I love highly efficient, modern work setups with a minimalist flair. I know that not all setups will work the same way for everyone, but the truth is that optimal results can always be achieved by properly managing items and resources. I have a Protractor desk from Manhattan Home Design that I'm trying to take to the next level with top-notch gadgets. Thanks for these reviews!

The problem with using an independent audio feed into the computer without striping timecode is the different clocks on the camera and computer cause the audio to drift. While it's not too difficult to resync audio drift, it does complicate the editing workflow. I encourage everybody to use their audio into their primary camera. If you're filming with a phone (I do), you can use an audio interface that enables you to use a variety of mics. I even use a Samson wireless system for filming with the receiver unit plugged into the iPhone. Works a treat.

Lots of Inspiration & Ideas
Loved the last setup, especially using the 2nd tiny monitor up top. I had been trying to find a better setup than dual 24s for graphic design and productivity and was thinking 40” ultrawide, but those are so $$$$. A 32” is perfect for my design work and a small second screen above (not to the side) is spot on for videoconferencing.
One recommendation though. Reincubate Camo for iphone as a webcam. It’s top notch.

Ha! I see that Husky desk every time i go into Home Depot. They're really well-built, nice and heavy, and versatile - definitely a good buy at $249
You can also remove the manual crank handle and use a cordless drill to raise and lower the desk. It makes more sense for a garage or workshop where you would have a drill anyway.

7:50 The Husky rolling, adjustable height bench (desk) is an awesome piece of studio gear. I’ve looked at them for at least the last 6 months.
It is and it's a good idea. I just couldn't get over the "They call it a work bench on their website and in the store." Yeah, that's because it's actually a work bench lol. It works, that was just funny.

I have a similar setup, a MacBook Pro M1 Max with the cal digit TS3 and I have both monitors connected to the cal digit. One uses the display port and the other uses a thunderbolt port.

Great video. Couple of questions: 1) is the link available for the USB-C cable Nolan mentions in his video, & 2) does the USB cable affect the maximum resolution output from the Sony ZV-E10 when using it for video calls. I thought that this was limited to 720p using the a USB-C cable.

Homie with the Husky desk wins, I have been looking for a manual stand desk for a month and cant find the price/quality I need and gonna now order one today. Appreciate yalls hookin it with the quality knowledge for us nerds that change the world one key stroke at a time. Unite Tech NERDS! LFG. Excited for the future and how much money ima make from my new setup. Already got the ultra wide and gonna stack a 16:9 on top for that oh so sweet productivity. Omar, WIth the Loupedeck Live, what customization did you do to it for your workstream? Or did it do what you needed right out of the box with the built in icons and plugins?

Dear author, is it convenient to use Elgato Wave XLR oriented this way, I mean: facing the camera? I think it might be counterproductive unless one mirrors the camera picture, as every turn left becomes a turn right otherwise. But... just a thought of a newbie.

For the first guy, I’d suggest checking into Displaylink to be able to run dual monitors off of the hub. I run three off of one hub because of this with an apple silicon Mac

Hey! Super nice and valuable video! I went through many of your videos, and i got one problem. I bought capture card on amazon, which support also audio, i connectetd my sony a6300 to my macbook, video is working fine but i cannot make video from my a6300 microphone which is rode video micro in this case, because when i go to System preferences on a mac and i choose inpust as hdmi capture card it said it cannot input audio from hdmi or something like this, do you know what can be the solution?
No idea how you got that 1 drawer dark stained husky desk... Been looking for weeks for that specific one. It doesn't even appear on website anymore, only way can find it is going through your link haha. All options are light color stain with 0 or 2 drawers.

1:36 this desk shelf is good enough. There’s no need to spend heft premium price tag for desk shelf such as one from Grovemade but rather use the money to invest on great lumbar support premium chair such as Herman Miller Aeron.
Yes the Grovemade desk shelf may looks good but that’s about it. It won’t benefit your body like good office chair 🤭
Your backbone will thank you when you reach 50s. I myself use Aeron and it’s the best investment I made for desk setup besides the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar tuck underneath desk shelf producing smooth music when I am busy working 😂

What are the best techniques to remove screen reflections from my glasses? I want to hold online meetings while working on my computer, i use canon M5 II but the reflections of the 27 inch screen and macbook is very annoying
