Three Dog Night was a very popular band in the 60's and 70's. I saw them perform this song as part of a concert I attended in September of 1969. Their performance was recorded for the live album, "Three Dog Night Captured Live At The Forum." It was my very first concert ever. Along with Three Dog Night, two other groups performed that night. The Grass Roots and Steppenwolf. It was quite a memorable night! And my ticket price was $2.50!

    3 lead singers.
    Not brothers
In the Vocal Hall of Fame. 21 top 40 in 6 years. Large catalog. Anything on Soundstage 1975 was amazing. You can witness the 3 awesome vocals and musicianship!

They were a great group; a favorite on the jukebox at campus bars. We were a bunch of dancing fools when their music came on. For a lighter side that might get a laugh or two try "Mama Told Me Not to Come" by them. Many of us showed up to parties in the 60s like they describe in the song. Thank you for your appreciation of past gems like this.

This is the studio version being lip synced. Try the Soundstage '75 version. It's live, and a longer version that really gives a better example of their vocals.
