I love how much artistic thought you put into each project before you start. I agree with you re getting away from the concept of 'stash' - I prefer to think of all my fibres as 'materials' for my fibre arts practice. And as long as I have space, I'll buy fleeces/fibre because I have several small sheep farmers and small fibres businesses that I want to support because we'll lose them if we don't use them.
Thank you! I spend as much time thinking as I do crafting, and I also spend a fair amount of time perusing and shopping. I like the idea of "materials" because that is literally what we have! I have heard "yarn pantry" and I like that too. But you make the best point - small businesses need our support and that's definitely something I can do!
