I got a few Welsh Harlequins from Cackle in April and I love them to bits. But I think one of them might be a mix of something else. Her head is dark, her bill is light grey, her feet are orange, and she has more attitude than her sisters. And yes, I'm sure she is female. She quacks. I still love her though.
I am considering to get welsh harlequin ducks. I hear they are very calm. I would like to find out if they make noises like chicken hens before and after they lay eggs?

I highly reccomend the book Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks. You can get a used copy online for a few bucks. I still refer to it sometimes!
