I'm so late bc these past months have been crazy busy so im doing my binge catch up 😊 Love to see all the progress coming together! I know you want to do the bigger things like flooring & so i understand that kitchen is priority. I think a lot of your past comments of frustration with cades room is the visual clutter & as someone who grew up like him i think having the right type of furniture for their uses makes ALL the difference to avoid overwhelm. Doesnt have to be a lot or costly, just the right kinds to invest in. Some things that may help is to have a minimal display shelf on the wall for lego creations by the closet/door and you can put a small wood ledge shelf on the wall above his bed for the ones he wants to keep (or just a smaller shelf actually used for books & not display). I agree with many of the others saying to put the dresser in the closet. Ikea has a compact lighter one thats moderately cheap & he just needs 3 shelves so it can be used solely for clothes and not invite more stuff (shirts, shorts, undies &socks). The rest can hang up and take up half the closet so all the bulky jackets arent by the door. Also a bed with an extendable second one might be an alt. since your 2nd son is only there a few days (or a bed w/storage for a futon under). As always keep up the great work! Not sure if you see past video comments, but excited to catch up to the rest!
Furniture sliders are the best purchase! I have every single piece of furniture on sliders. I use them at home and at work. They are an inexpensive necessity. They stay under heavy and light pieces. I can freely move anything that I want to move on my own. I bought the multi size pack on Amazon and they work for carpet and hardwood floors. 😎
I think that part 2 will make it really beautiful and then it will look much better then before 😊 I'm excited for part 2, hope God bless you and your family ✨
Cade taking home plants and yarn is so relatable!! I always took free stuff with big plans to do something amazing. After getting rid of storage units and decluttering my home I no longer take free stuff!
His room looked pretty great to begin with. I know yoy all have wprked on simplifying things for years and this was a good example of it. I knwo thwre was kid debris but that happens especially with small stuff. My kids still have way too much stuff. It is hard when they really want to hold on to everything and are really sentimental too. Looks great. I liek teh beds seprate. ☺️ Always fun to change things up.
Its really good to teach them decluttering skills when they are super young ,it gets them used to it at a young age, just makes it easier❤Love you all!my hubby has hoarding personality too!!Drives me nutz😂😂
As I’m watching you de clutter and rearrange Kade bedroom. I’m realizing he have a lot of mix-match furniture. Do you and your husband considered getting new furniture for him somewhere down the line? 🛌 🪑
Hi Jill good to See you again, your Son should be helping you & if he's over 9yrs old he should keep his Room Clean, just saying I Never heard of a kid being a hoarder take Care God Bless! 🧡🧡
Good job! I would like to make some suggestion on the room arrangement, you are obviously free to follow them or not as you seen fit 😂. I would have kept the beds in the castle form (one on top of the other), since your other son doesn't regularly live with you, and put them where you have put the first one, but all the way to the wall on the right, without the library in the middle. Then I would have put the piano on the wall opposite to the bed (where you put the second bed), with the library on his left side. I would also put the table back in, on the wall where now is the piano. The dresser is perfect where it is. That way I think the room will look more spacious and harmonious. Best wishes from Italy, I'm excited for part two, you got this! 😊
I absolutely LOVE your channel. I could not have left the Legos on the floor in the closet. I would have had to clean out the dresser drawers for only clothes and hang some what up in the closet. That would drive me crazy until I got it fixed.
I could feel your struggle watching you with that dresser! I rearrange things ALOT and its usually when kids are at school and husbands at work so...its so frustrating LOL like why wont you just move darn it!🤣🤣
Hi hun just a thought why not try and put the piano in side the curtain space there’s no clothes hanging up in it it would give you more room to put the beds under the windows with a little side table in the middle the could use the draws for all the clothes you could even put storage box’s on top for more clothes could be a game changer if it fit’s x
Hey Jill great job! I could see your vision with Kade's bed and having a shelving system over his bed. I was thinking can you get rid of the step sons bed...the frame of it? Then just keep the mattress and tuck it under Kade's bed until he comes over then you just pull it out when he's over. Just a thought❤ if he didn't live there permanently I wouldn't have suggested such things...lol
I would of put the bookshelf where you put the dresser. Take the piano out of the room. The beds are fine where you put them. Put the dresser where the piano was..
I kept wishing you would change your mind and take out at least one of the drawers or so to make it easier to move. It seemed top heavy because when you would push it, it would want to tip back a bit. You could hurt yourself doing this. You might not be so lucky next time. Pinched fingers hurt, but you could have broken one or hurt your back. Please be more careful.
Recommendation put the dresser in the closet since there is no hanging clothes. Then put the bookshelf or piano in the little nock to give more room.
Less surfaces will help him keep things clean too... The desk and the bookshelf and the piano and the drawers plus the bed is A LOT in a small room.

I think the dresser in the closet area would free up some space and getting that bookshelf out would as well…

Great job!!! I bet he is so relieved and excited!

I like that what you did to it that’s pretty cool🎉
I think you would like that bookshelf more if you painted it to match the bed until it could be replaced.
Great job jill, 😀

When I move a dresser I always take the drawers out, then all goes well. ❤
Your audio sounds much better😊
Good job Jill it’s looking great so far I bet you were sore the next day !
That piano is massive in there.

pon la comoda en el armario y el piano en el salon y las camas en la pared de la derecha al entrar pero en litera.

I totally plan on making them bunk beds again after spring break. But it was dangerously wobbly.
This was a temporary arrangement
Ah, ok then. If it's wobbly you did good in separating them, it could be dangerous otherwise 👍🏻
I would’ve ended up pushing the dresser over in a fit of rage and breaking something 😂😂
He has a lot of furniture in his room. 💐
The room looks somewhat okay😅

Hola jill muy linda motivacion en la habitacion 👨👦💪👏👏👉 desde argentina 🇦🇷💝💞🤗
What about a daybed with trundle? There are masculine ones out there. Or get bed riser to raise your sons bed to fit a trundle and mattress under it.

Constant pulling/tugging on furniture wears it down. Good job, looks nicer!

Well done ❤️🌹👍
Such a big difference! Can’t wait to see part 2 😊

Parents have to teach kids how to Cook, Clean, & do Laundry So when they move out on their own they will know how to keep a Clean house,
Why don’t you put the dresser in the empty closet?
You don’t have a bin for those legos on the closet floor??? That’s kinda of crazy.
Yes there’s a bin and Kade will be the one to clean them up.
👏🏼❤️
I would have taken out the drawers before moving dresser
Jill, Can you leave a link in the description where you got Kade’s desk from? ❤☺️
Next time take the drawers out of the dresser. It will be alot lighter that way.

It wasn’t top heavy the bottom right leg was getting stuck on a rip in the flooring
Your Mom is cute, thin, and young looking!
Grab some curtains for your boy, lol.
