Thank you for sharing the dismantling of cardboard mountain. Now you will have to construct a better one for next time. We know there will be a next time. Happy New Year!
I’m glad you monitor what your kids are doing online. I’m 21 and used to be annoyed at my parents restrictions but as I got older and saw what it protected me from I understood and wanted to go back lol. Also glad you recycle all your boxes that’s great!
I'm proud of you for doing all this! I opt out of the carry boxes at Costco b/c they're such a beast to tear down. And my fingers hurt! You are very strong and skilled at that! Good for you for all the effort and the cost of taking care of the environment! The Earth appreciates you!
You are brave Beth - I love that you are "real' and give hope to the hopeless. I am with you about the plastic wrap - I HATE it too - and it is so hard to open things.
Good job Beth! Wonderful that you have that big garage. I have no garage or basement just a shed. I chuck my boxes out the back door. Dogs will not allow me to have a cardboard mountain. Sometimes I break them down, depends on how much time I have. It is hubs one job in his retirement to take out the trash. In Denver we have rolling plastic dumpsters, black for trash, purple for recycle and green for compost; $54 every three months. Used to be free but had to start paying a year ago. About every 6 weeks we have big item pick up. We have an alley so that is great. For the past two weeks hubs who has COPD couldn’t put out the trash so I did, my knee replacement is 6 1/2 months old now and doing great….still working on kneeling. I am 73, took down Christmas but the crates are still midway in the back yard awaiting the shed. The wind was too cold today for me to complete. Plus I want to bring out the vintage Barbie house to the pantry room for my granddaughter to play with that is stored in the shed. This will require me restacking lots of crates. I have a fantastic Barbie collection and really cool upholstered furniture and the Deluxe Dream kitchen which is like the one I got for Christmas as a kid. I used to collect toys never dreaming I would someday get a grandchild to play with all of it. Anyway I think you did quite well getting rid of all that cardboard. Good luck to both of us with our tasks. Fear is good when dealing with that cardboard masher.😘Looks scary. Thank you for this video.
I think it’s so amazing you have a vintage Barbie house that was yours that your granddaughter gets to play with! How cool is that!! I wish I could See a picture of it’
I couldn’t understand the existence of this cardboard mountain but the more you explain the process, if I lived in the US I would 100% have a cardboard mountain omg. In Australia we have a separate paper bin that gets picked up with the rubbish every 2 weeks and it’s free. Making you drop it off and then pay for the privilege is so wild!
I felt so inspired after watching you gracefully put your cardboard into the machine (I would have looked just as graceful or a little less so) that I clicked on the next video TH-cam recommended about decluttering before New Year. But it was this pretty lady who calmly asked me if I was anything like her and when her kids were little she would ask them what toys they no longer wanted that they could donate. No, lady, I am not like you at all. LOL I thought TH-cam knew me better. I had to delete that video from my history so I would never get recommended those kinds of videos again. I'm in the phase of let's just throw stuff away to get it out of our lives rather than hoarding it for donation. You said you could call your waste company and leave junk in the front for pick up twice a year and I started going down the rabbit hole of "I wonder if my garbage pickup does that..." We are not in the "Let's ask the children what toys they want to donate" phase. I'm trying to get there, but not yet. Looking forward to 25 in 25.
Man people will climb up your butt if you toss over donate. But honestly sometimes it’s just easier and better for us to toss it. We are struggling enough with basic home maintenance, don’t add another challenge in the mix.
@@feraltradwife Right? Jamie Chaotic is over there in her pantry saying her old sauces are getting the boot and I'm all "INSPIRED! I have permission!!" Yet those sauces are still sitting on the counter because I put all of my holiday foods in the way. Or how about those old glass pickle jars that are collecting dust so I don't add to the trash of the world because I could craft with those things or recycle them even though they won't pick up glass anymore. So to summarize my comment: How dare any of us not have a cardboard mountain because that's so much better for the planet and our mental health than to toss one single thing. 🤣 I don't even have a TH-cam channel so why do I feel so much guilt over this? Happy New Year! Here's to a very feral 2025.
@@feraltradwife that, exactly. Get it OUT one way or another. That extra step of taking it for donation or having it picked up may never happen, garbage day happens lol
How dare Marc try to take cardboard mountain away from you !! I take back my “Saint” comment. 😉 What a workout that was!! Good luck at your cardio appointment! Love you!! ❤
We have a garbage bin and a recycling bin. The recycling is picked up every other week (and no glass). We tend to build a cardboard mountain in our dining room. We also buy way too much online and end up with big chewy boxes. We have recycle drop stations around town where you can throw paper/cardboard/cans and they have a special glass bin. Luckily it's all "free" (part of the crazy taxes we pay). The giant glass bin is always 75% booze. This is a drinkin' city. It was very satisfying to see you empty the back of your suv. I actually love breaking down boxes. I totally would have come over to help.
Yessss thxxxx a lot, now I need to clean! I must! Unexpectedly my eldest son comes by tonight, my middle son has his birthday tomorrow aaaaaaand my youngest….mmmm does exactly nothing, so i need to put my coffee away and go clean with your video in the background 😂😂😂😂 have a great New Year Beth ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
Ahhh a new year with the infamous cardboard mountain conquered! Great job. Also as a Canadian I find it absolutely wild that you need to pay to recycle cardboard. In my province we have 3 recycling bins that we seperate out things in to and it gets picked up once a week
I live in Minnesota. We pay for garbage pickup which is weekly and once recycling became mandatory the trucks pick up recycling bimonthly. The fee did nit increase. That said every county is different, no statewide mandate. We drive to a recycle center for metals and we crush our aluminum and ee get paid by the pound.
I LOVE watching your videos, Beth! Your videos, and you, make me laugh all the time. They’ve been tremendously healing for me. My first husband left me, ostensibly because I wasn’t tidy (Ha!). Turns out, I had serious undiagnosed ADHD, and, get this…. he was a pediatrician and internal medicine doctor supposedly trained to pick up on and diagnose it. I also was raising (with zero support and very little help) three neuro divergent kids, one of whom was autistic. The reason I love your videos is because my house and garage never got to the point yours does. No judgment here at all, just all the love in the world. It’s just that every time I see your home on a hard day, I laugh out loud and say, “ Geez he was such a pr**k.” Ironically, the much younger woman he left me for is a huge slob, and I hear it’s a very unhappy household . I remarried a lovely man, who was a wonderful dad to my kids, and they are all successful adults now. Absolutely love you and your family, girl!
Good job! And i agree that this should be a husband job. I think you should adk your lids to load the cardboard into the car once per week, and then ask your husband to take it to the place. Though, my first suggestion was going to be to just take it out with the trash.
Most everyone I know who has a garage parks their cars in them. I’m surprised how many don’t now that I watch so many cleaning videos. I want a garage to keep all my neighbors leaves out of my carport. I have to blow it off twice a day to be able to get to my car and carport door. Love your videos. You crack me up!
Honestly I’m not even sure my car would fit lengthwise? Because of my deep freezer and the gym equipment. It would be nice for when the storms hit though
Cardboard mountain is a reality in many homes. I do my best to manage it by removing all tape and labels, flatten the boxes and store them in one large box until garbage pickup or use them in my garden to keep the weeds down. Just put wood chips on top and voila! Earth friendly recycling that saves time and effort with less weeding. Only use true cardboard without the shiny paper coating in the garden. I love the brown paper wrappings used to protect items instead of plastic. Kids can paint it, use it for homemade wrapping paper, or simply recycle ♻️. SO much better than plastic.
@ You’re very welcome. ☺️ It’s simply how I handle the cardboard - no judgement on your method. It’s always a relief to get rid of my accumulated cardboard! When you decide to start a garden, please consider watching the documentary called “Back to Eden”. Once established, it has been so much easier to maintain than a traditional till and weed garden.
Three (3) of us live in a 2BR apartment near Chicago. I flatten cardboard boxes as they come in. I keep 2 for the cat, 2 flattened, and recycle the rest. Plastic bags get recycled at our library. Tina, Al's wife
My cardboard mountain resides in my spare bedroom along with the stored items my kids left behind when they got married and moved out. I was so excited to have an extra room, I was gonna use half of it for a home office and the other half as workout space. Oh well, so disappointing.
I break down the cardboard boxes as soon as I open them. Then I tie them all together and take them to the recycle bin. It's less stress not having a pile of them around
I had wondered why you'd have a cardboard mountain. Now with the info that they don't pick it up for you AND you have to pay. What do you do when you don't have a car? Here they pick up your cardboard/paper once every 3 weeks. Sometimes it gets a little too much for the bin that they give you, but in those cases you can carry it a block away to a big paper container. Good on you for still committing to recycling.
We have a smaller container for recycles but it fills up so fast with the food recycling that the larger boxes never make it in. They pick it up every two weeks
Good luck with your appointment today! Thanks for sharing the destruction of cardboard mountain! I’m sure that it will raise its evil head again, that’s just the circle of life😂💕💕💕
😂 Gurl u too much! I cldnt relax if i had that behemoth in my garage or anywhere i exist 😂 Seriously! I really cldnt😊 I’m boring i guess- i toss/recycle/wash/clean everything as it comes, as it’s the only way i can breathe 😂 Happy New Year🎆✨🎉🎇
Love your cardboard mountain! Our cardboard gathers in our dining room and I only occasionally flatten it to recycle. We both toss it in a pile so the two adult “kittens” can jump on it and knock it over. They jump in and out and under and through them & think they’re really hunting. (They’re inside cats, btw). We build cat forts for them when we have really large boxes-their favorite being the electric lawnmower box. They are not little and weigh 13# & 15# at 1 1/2 years old and are still growing-solid muscle! I guess this is what happens when your kids are adults and grandkids live in Netherlands. Haha. Blessings 💖
My question is: did Present Beth thank Past Beth for stacking the boxes together for easy breakdown for Future Beth??? Good luck today with your appointment!
Now seeing this video, I understand why you have cardboard mountain, they don’t pick up the recycling in a can at your house along with your garbage and your organics. We have three cans, garbage, recycle and organics for grass and leaves and food. The organic and the garbage get picked up weekly and the recycle every two weeks. I would probably have a cardboard mountain too if I had to actually take it somewhere.
We have a smaller bin but it doesn’t fit the larger boxes, or honestly the amount we produce. So we put the kitchen recycling, the cans and milk containers, in the bin and whatever boxes we can fit after that. They collect once every two weeks
I have a cardboard mountain too. We break it down and put it in a pile outside in our backyard and take it every so often to another spot on our property to burn it. We usually let it get 6 feet tall lol
Oh and I got a new broom for Christmas. No, not a witch's broom (maybe). I saw yours and liked it. It's from Home Depot, HDX brand. Just the right height and weight. Not to mention the perfect fuzzy to bristle ratio. Goals: cut back on the diet soda, sweep every day, and drink homemade V8 every day. That's it.
Love your videos for your voice overs...and heartache witnessing a truckload leave your truck and go into the cardboard eater, proceed to entirely fill up said cardboard eater, all from your garage cardboard mountain and no male to assist hahaha New sub from England:) PS almost certain you got reverse psychology'd into this
Our city recently decreased pickup to one container of regular and one smaller container of recyclable trash per week. And the collection day before the holidays our son FORGOT to wheel the bins out. We are going to be playing catchup for weeks.
We missed two weeks ago and it was a disaster. Luckily my neighbor across the way got a dumpster to do a nice house purge and offered us use. Blessings

My sunroom has cardboard strewn all about it. I’ll probably have to attack it tomorrow. This will be the second time this month. All Christmases are over at least so there shouldn’t be any more of unreasonable amounts at least. Looking forward to next year’s content!🎉
@ I’m working on some video ideas. We had three Christmases and I haven’t had much time to work post-vlogmas. Still trying to wrap my head around how everything will fit together.
@@feraltradwife Too many. Just filmed a decluttering video for this Saturday. Very cathartic to let go of stuff from pregnancy/breastfeeding era that has just ended.

I love bad dogs! “he’s bad, bad, Leroy Brown, badder than old King Kong, meaner then a junkyard dog”. Drop him off in Minnesota on your next road trip to North Dakota 😘❤️✌🏻

I’m boring i guess- i toss/recycle/wash/clean everything as it comes, as it’s the only way i can breathe 😂
Happy New Year🎆✨🎉🎇
I'm a little bit chaotic, but I get it done! Happy New Year to you too! ✨
I love your videos !!!!! and happy new year ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much! Happy New Year to you too! ❤❤❤❤
Hey now Lady!
🤣
Yay cardboard mountain is gone 🤗💜
This is going to be an awesome year 🎉
I really think it will be!
You’re the worst Canada Meg!! Just own it like a badge of honor! 😆
@@MaryRass3374 I FREAKING DO!!! WOOT 🎉🎉🎉🎉
🤣🤣🤣
Haha. Blessings 💖
Awww! I love that!! Our cats are always excited about the boxes too! They had the best Christmas morning diving in and around all of it!
You really rocked the cardboard girl! Good in ya! Happy New Year!!!🎉😂
Happy New Year to you too! 🎉
I really needed this today.❤
I hope it helped!
Loved it😂 Have a Happy New Year ❤❤
Happy new year babe!!!
Great job🎉 ❤Blessings
Thank you! 💖
OMG! WOW! My OCD makes me breakdown and We have recycles pick up every two weeks. But then I don't have a busy life like you do. Happy NEW YEARS>xoxo
Good for you, Beth! 🥰
Thank you!
Great video, as always!
I am so glad you liked it! 🥰
My question is: did Present Beth thank Past Beth for stacking the boxes together for easy breakdown for Future Beth???
Good luck today with your appointment!
Dang! I should have! Thanks me!!! You’re the best!! You’re welcome me!!! YOURE the best!!
Did I hear right? You have to pay them to re-home your cardboard & do all the work? Wow that just sounds so wrong 😂🤣😬❤️
YUP! it’s a whole racket
I don’t think people fully appreciate ‘ out of sight out of mind’ . Well done
YUP. I have no idea what’s going on out of sight. I’ve fully forgotten
I got so much relief from this!! Lol
Yay!!!
When I get a larger property that’s absolutely what I will do!
That's it.
I LOVE those goals Linda!!
I’ve been hanging out with my box cutter for two days!., almost enough to make me quit shopping!.,., 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤪😜🤪😜🤣😭😆😁😄! I like your style!!❤🐾
I had to search for mine! But I did find my kitchen scissors. In the garage. Where they should be. Obviously.
Love your videos for your voice overs...and heartache witnessing a truckload leave your truck and go into the cardboard eater, proceed to entirely fill up said cardboard eater, all from your garage cardboard mountain and no male to assist hahaha
New sub from England:)
PS almost certain you got reverse psychology'd into this
lol maybe! Now I’m going to sue my husband!
Not more paperwork to take to the recycling centre haha
Thanks for being you :)
We have the same rule with screens.... no electronics in bedrooms here!
Looooove it!
Blessings
My daughter just turned 8yo and will volunteer to take them lol. She always trying to keep the boxes we have.
Lol, great Job Beth!
Btw, i love the term "aggressive lie" ...i mean, whats the point of a "passive Lie" 😂😂😂
Thanks for keeping me entertained. Luv ya xx
Lol, I relate to your idea of 'leaning into the bulking phase'. 😅
We should work to lighten the load of mankind, Imagine if we did...

Looking like Cardboard Mountain can also be Box Jenga🙌😀
I had a whole Box Jenga situation in the making!!
@feraltradwife Oh gosh, my hubby is cracking up. I'm sharing the whole garage, box moving boxes nonsense with him because I think this is so HILARIOUS 😂
My sunroom has cardboard strewn all about it. I’ll probably have to attack it tomorrow. This will be the second time this month. All Christmases are over at least so there shouldn’t be any more of unreasonable amounts at least. Looking forward to next year’s content!🎉
Same to you babe!!! Do you have a 2025 content plan?
@ I’m working on some video ideas. We had three Christmases and I haven’t had much time to work post-vlogmas. Still trying to wrap my head around how everything will fit together.
@ three?! That’s so intense.
@@feraltradwife Too many. Just filmed a decluttering video for this Saturday. Very cathartic to let go of stuff from pregnancy/breastfeeding era that has just ended.
No better feeling than dropping off a ton of cardboard. I’m feeling pretty lucky, our recycling dump has free cardboard drop off.
Firstly I would love to know if you enjoyed the video I have something special to enlighten you more about🤍🤍sᴇɴᴅ🤍🤍ᴍᴇ🤍🤍ᴀ🤍🤍ᴅɪʀᴇᴄᴛ🤍🤍ᴛᴇxᴛ🤍🔝±𝟷𝟸𝟶𝟹𝟿𝟷𝟼𝟻𝟺𝟽𝟷
Happy New Year!!
Happy new year! 🎊🎆
Tell LeRoy he can bring his lambie to my house to play anytime. I need to do this myself. Maybe you'll be my insporation. Take care Beth.
Breaking all that cardboard would be a total drag, no wonder you procrastinate. Perhaps you should break each box down as you go😘. By the way, I will take Leroy. I love bad dogs! “he’s bad, bad, Leroy Brown, badder than old King Kong, meaner then a junkyard dog”. Drop him off in Minnesota on your next road trip to North Dakota 😘❤️✌🏻
Great job!!!! Sorry you had to wear shoes for this one. ❤😂
It was awful. The absolute worst. I took them off at a stoplight on the way home 🤣
RIP cardboard mountain. You will be missed
Don't worry love it'll be back LOL
We will build back better faster stronger!
Definitely agree it's a job for menfolk! You did a great job, though!
Thanks babe! It was annoying but someone has to make content around these parts!
I just subscribe today your talking makes me happy I loved listening ❤
Yay! Welcome!!
Welcome to the family!
OMG. Why don't you break them up as you unpack them and put them in a larger box that has not been taken apart. I now know why you have anxiety.
Break down the cardboard as you go!
😂
Chefs kiss Keelienne.
Thanks for the tip!
Let’s don’t be silly 😂 no one has time for all that 😅
@@keelienne😂😂😂😂
Cardboard mountain 😂😂Good thing the Mega Karen’s can’t see this!😂
lol right?!
Leroy is the cutest piece of trash I have ever seen. I love bad boys!
He really is!
At least you didn’t wait for Marc to rage clean it. So that’s a plus!
More like a minus! I love it when he cleans stuff!
@ Beth is your PO Box address listed anywhere?
I'm on my way over to play Lambykins with my boy, Leroy.
lol! He’s thrilled!
We have a burn barrel, one a month i burn them as im not going to pay them to take my boxes to recycle.
You got rid of your Christmas tree box. Where do you place your tree for the remainder of the year? We are looking for a better storage of our tree for the year.
I bought a tree storage bag! I am tired of trying to cram my tree back into the stupid box. I hope this works. Otherwise I’m in a real pickle
@ Thank you.
I’ve got an electric wheelchair so the zombies will never catch up with me because they don’t walk properly so anyway, I will be safe when the apocalypse comes. 😇🤷♀️😘
😂😂😂
And added bonus, if you become a zombie you can’t chase me!
