The "Tanda Room" you're passing at 2:51 used to be "Featured Players Theatre," a fun community theatre that I was a part of when I lived in Dothan 😊 had a lot of fun memories there! Thanks so much for the video!
Your title is pretty misleading about my city… my office is on the 400 block of North Foster and there is almost nothing to be worried about working 24 hours a day. Definitely one of the lower crime rates in the state. And lots of excellent things coming to downtown Dothan very soon.
The point you mentioned about crime isn't true. Anywhere in Baldwin county, Huntsville, or Shelby County is going to have a lower crime rate than Dothan. Dothan does have a high crime rate for its size. It's not the worst but don't be misleading.
This is one of the lamest excuses for a travel channel I've seen on YT. But there are worse, and they pop up when looking for information about Dothan. I couldn't find one video about the town that seemed knowledgeable or even reliable. Have this clown team never seen statuary of people sitting on a bench? They're the type more interested in fast food drive-ups than art galleries or antiques. Very sad. I've never been to Dothan but was interested out of curiosity. Like, would it be a quiet place to spend a few months out of the year with good grocery stores and restaurants? Police response? Local D A and judges that protect property owners? Oh well. It doesn't look too promising but I suspect that's due to the people posting videos. Nobody ffom out of town cares about peanut festivals. 😊
@@dreed7312I lived there as long u don’t go to the mall and stay in west Dothan only don’t go to downtown or north Dothan or east Dothan and u will have a great time but leave west Dothan and be prepared to have to walk through the ghetto I didn’t like living there bc I lived in north Dothan and was exposed to a lot of gang violence but in west Dothan there are great stores and restaurants
Great video! Loved it guys! My only experience with Dothan is going through on the way to Panama City Beach and it's been a long time since I went that way!
Just wait in two years ,then come back . Theres a new 60 million dollar city hall, and new civic center coming. The new civic arena is 240 million . Theres over 15 new developments coming to revamp downtown . Dothan has a lot of shows at the civic center and opera house and now the city is trying to capitalize on bigger venues and bigger shows.
@@jethrodupreeyea seriously just like the crime rate the more shootings and stabbings 😒 I’ve been exposed to so much shit while living in Dothan screw north Dothan wish I would of been in the west side of the city

You didn’t even go on Foster Street which is the most famous street in downtown Dothan.
They went down South Foster, but North Foster is where the most interesting things are. Was so bummed they turned left instead of right on Foster! 😂
Groovy, thank you so much for sharing this I'm considering relocating here
This video shows the downtown part of Dothan where the crime is pretty much isolated to. Born and raised here, amazing family place.

I played the national peanut festival it's on 231 south of the ring lots of friends there nice people
Some of my favorite people are natives of Dothan.
We love Dothan, everybody is super polite like most of Alabama and the downtown is beautiful.❤️
You completely missed the main block of downtown Dothan. On Foster Street we have KBC owned by top Chef winner Kelsey Clark.
Born and raised here! So many great memories. Moved away 30 year's ago but will always call Dothan home ❤❤❤.
So much has changed here for the better really! I’ve been here since the 1980s.

Dobb's bar-b-q used to be a great place to eat ....... yup.....Dothan has always had a lot of stuff going on..... "Circle City"
You should come back here. There isn't enough high quality videos of Dothan and this looks to be one of your more highly viewed videos.
We pass through Dothan on our way to FL at least once a year! 🥰
Dothan is Houston County.
They used to have a music festival where they brought in big name acts like Alabama and others. But they stopped that for some reason
WOW has Dothan grown since I’ve been through there.
In Alabama (my home state) Dothan was always known as a town ya didn’t want to live in.
If you move here you never leave lol
Where in Alabama are you from? I never heard that.
Only Elvis would call that old broken down bus a "nice bus." LOL
🤣🤣🤣 True!!!!
Room for improvements! Dothan is growing. Just like a lot of small city their areas can be dangerous but improve over time.
I didn’t know that Dothan was so fascinated with the peanut, lol. Interesting, quirky town.
We found the ‘Elvis’ peanut but it was inside the welcome center (and was closed on Sundays)
Is dothan subject to hurricane weather??
It’s pretty close to the coast so I’m sure they get affected by tropical storms
Yes but luckily it doesn't destroy the city because we're 70 miles off the coast
Looks like a rearranged version of jasper.
Dothan is a great place with no Democrats. White town so clean and low crime.
🤣🤣🤣
Downtown is massive 😂😂
Following thank you❤
Thank you for watching ❤️
There's not a Soul walking on the street.
Crazy, right!!!
@@Crazytraveladdicts Must have been on a Sunday morning, we were all in church, thank you for showing some of Dothan..
