Bro I've been eyeing the gopher curl bar for months now cause it's the one used in competition but $200 for a curl bar seems really expensive. How do you justify such an expensive buy for something that's not gonna be used all that much? You know, if it wasn't part of your job 😅
I bought the Rogue curl bar for over $200 and I justified it by putting aside $10 each paycheck until I had enough. At that point I figured I had taken that long and still wanted it so it was worth it. Also I really like curls 😂 TBH I couldn't justify 90% of the things I review if it wasn't my job. Lucky for you the Gungnir curl bar should make your Gopher look much easier to purchase

Id feel comfortable at a $250 price point out the door (with taxes and shipping incl). I can justify that in my head with some convincing. Top tier barbells are $300 so for me to pay 600, or. even 300 for a curl bar is bananas. To me a curl bar is a curl bar. Maybe they'll run a flash sale or something.

I don't really like rackable curl bars so I might be the wrong person to ask. The idea behind a rackable cur bar is it's easier to set up since you can load the plates on the rack. I've always thought since you're not loading a curl bar with massive weight it wasn't a big deal and I don't like how wide rackable curl bars are. It makes them a little more awkward to use and move around your space with. If you like the rackability (I'm sure that's not a word) then go for it but I think I'm more like you. I have used non rackable curl bars for many many years so it's just been ingrained into me that I don't need it and since I'm already used to the old ways it's like teaching an old dog new tricks.
@@GlucksGym 100% with you on this I think companies came out with rackable curl bars to sell lifters another gym item. I echo everything you said, Thnkx Man
Regular curl bars are better than rackable curl bars because the weight distribution is closer to your body. With the weight closer to your arms you're able to feel more intensity in your biceps rather than more on the stability muscles with a rackable curl bar to balance the weight further away from your body. You can still use a regular curl bar to rack onto your j cups with the sleeves of the curl bar.
Thanks for the video gungnir can eliminate the plate slop by adopting a similar design as eleikos weightlifting power lock bar... now I'm going to use the word collar twice (1. Collar of the barbell where the bearings/bushings are and the largest diameter part of the sleeve where the first loaded plate touches 2. Collar that is typically removable that locks on the plates in) that russian inspired barbell has groves on the sleeve and the special collars (#2) stop on those groves but also spins like a nut to eliminate plot slop... if gungnir were to modify the barbell collar (#1 thisckest part of the barbell sleeve) to spin like a nut and extend outward toward the end caps it would eliminate any plate slop and lock them in place. Would work with every plate. I'm here for a consulting fee if anyone wants to pay me. Would obviously increase cost for sure and its already $ but that would take care of a major criticism.
My eleiko prolock weightlifting doesn't... If I didn't have the bar I likely wouldn't have thought of it..m this would be an additional feature so the worst case scenario is that mechanism would eliminate slop fails and the slop would reappears. If anything for me it's difficult to sometimes unscrew that barbell so I can hit the button to remove if from the groove because it's too tight .. I think rogue also has a barbell like that too but this would take a feature from the specialty collars and put it on the sleeve instead
Ignore him. He's a troll and looking for attention. I suppose they could modify the design but like anything else they'd have to weigh the pros and cons. This works very well as the collars don't seem to ever come out of place but the slop can be there. I'm used to collars moving some especially during deadlift but it's become a norm for me throughout the years that I don't notice it. I guess it depends on Gungnir's goal here and since they're pretty heavily invested I feel like they're happy with where is at. Regardless it's a well thought out comment on your part and it makes me think.
It's like a nice car, a nice TV, the list goes on. I can still get to work with a beater, I can still watch my favorite team on a junky old tv but this is a better, nicer bar. IDC how people spend their money as long as they're happy.
Actually, the BEST bar is the one with the best bends for you. The Bells of Steel was trash because it's made for very narrow shoulder people like women. Please compare bends for best for wide shoulder people. Rogue is a little too narrow for me.

Rodolfo never buys anything. Ever.
@@reconstructionwouldhavesav9472 can you explain your last comment about me please?
Let's go
600 dollars for a stupid ez curl bar is ridiculous...what's wrong with a cap ez bar from amazon for 50 bucks...
The best Curls shirt would be the Massenomics Curls shirt ;)
By the way, you only need >= 8min for midrolls ;)
Time to make the videos even shorter! 😂
💪💪💪
I want winny
Watson stubby axle bar for leg arms.
Whoa... that price. Hard pass. I own the rogue curl bar. Love it
You said shaft. El giggle
I would never!
600 bucks is a lot of bucks, sometimes quality is too expensive
3:52 - curl it cleanly? haha
Curl bars seem pointless when you can get fat grips instead which do the same thing
Take a shot every time he says shaft
If $ were no object, sounds like that is the one to have
Still not fully knurled. It's only 99% knurled. Send it back =P
Well it seemed nice until you said 600$. Thats insane and there is zero chance i will be buying it despite really wanting that build in dollar design.
The best tan is a farmer’s tan 😂
It's the only tan I can manage
That has got to suck for those that got the v1
I almost made a comment about people who recommended V1, seems like we all should've mentioned it needed full knurling for the price
Why does REPs curl bar have a Mustache? 😂
It's the best for most people
$770 to Ireland, bummer.
Ummm actually… I’m just here for the shaft talk!
I know you are 😉
Best girl shirt?🤣🤣🤣
Adblock blocked this entire video 😕
that price for a curler that isn't rackable. bollox.
I don’t see the point of this bar, other than a trophy. Millions of guys have gotten jacked on lesser bars,…way lesser.
It's like a nice car, a nice TV, the list goes on. I can still get to work with a beater, I can still watch my favorite team on a junky old tv but this is a better, nicer bar. IDC how people spend their money as long as they're happy.
As they say - thats expensive
Over $550 what a joke😮
Actually, the BEST bar is the one with the best bends for you. The Bells of Steel was trash because it's made for very narrow shoulder people like women. Please compare bends for best for wide shoulder people. Rogue is a little too narrow for me.
No rackable no care
First?
Third. You've gotten slow in your old age.
I bought a sweet curl bar at Walmart for 30 buckaroos. It kicks asshole. I put weight on it then curl and my biceps be popping. Walmart rules, what other place can you roll out of bed and then decide Time To Shop! And without changing proceed to shop?
