- Visited some areas in this mod I actually didnt know about. Always so much fun to revisit this custom version (-Quidditch) and doing it Max% was an absolute treat apart from the impossible troll section...
This time I used the newest version that I could find btw since people were edging me to do that for a while now but honestly I have no idea whats different to the one I used to play...

As a child I always thought u couldn't use the mirror against Voldemort until the collums are all broken. Never tried it lol.
I also used the columns until all were broken but mostly because getting damage in with the is very easy and actually using the mirror to attack was kinda too hard for me 😀

Btw, today I noticed EA has again put up websites for the old Harry Potter games and for the series as a whole - and newly made ones even (although not fully complete/exhaustive). I don't know for how long that has been the case, but I'm glad the games are now officially recognized again. It's not much, but at least it's something :)
That is actually quite some cool news... Like it doesn't have to mean anything but maybe with Hogwarts Legacy being popular with every youtube video related to it EA thinks about some remasters... Probably not very realistic but it's a nice dream 😀
@@Nixxo Yes absolutely, that would indeed be a dream come true (esp. for HP1-3 PC). It's not very likely, but a man can dream right?! ;)
And by the way EA explicitly recommends starting with the first game and working your way through the series to DH Pt. 2, which is really neat. Maybe they're finally working towards a time where people can buy these games again in official stores?!

@Nixxo I don't think so. Me and my sister played that game several times, but I had never heard it. I only first heard it when I was going through the game's music files and the file name was "Common Room".
Fair enough, would have loved to have this theme in the games somewhere but at least this way it feels very special and unique whenever we get to hear it in a mod or somewhere. Thanks for letting me know anyways!

It is indeed fun! Trying also to find you online on Twitch whenever possible. Watching this brings a lot of memories back. Specially the one where when I was a kid, I never used to cast Alohamora at the mirrors cause I thought they were just decoration of the castle. Hermione just says something like “if you are admiring yourself, let’s go look at that chest” and for me was “ok, mirrors are useless”. Hence probably my trauma and picking that miss immediately 😅

I don't mean to be picky as this sure has taken a huge ammount of work, but I wish the creator on future updates to "export" the Alley from the 2nd PC game, as they use the same engine I believe? Might be possible on future?
Although Privet Drive and the Express will still need to be done from scratch I suppose..
I do believe that the diagon alley from HP2 is pretty ugly if you look the direction you are not supposed to :D Iirc correct it's all kind of in a big stone box so I assume that's why it wasn't importet. Also I guess the train level could be importet from HP3 PC (even though that runs on a more advanced version it's still unreal engine)

What is this spell? What is the name of this spell?
To be honest, I'm not really sure what spell we used for that portrait lol This mod adds a lot of cut content back into the game so it's probably just a random spell symbol from a spell they planned to include but then ended up cutting out, no idea what the name of it was supposed to be though. Seems like the only spot we use that one in too...

For some reason I really struggle with quidditch. I gave up during the match against Ravenclaw.
Oh trust me there is no shame in that, the Quidditch in this mod is just so insanely broken it's really awful to play and super difficult to catch the snitch sadly. I'm struggling a ton with it every time I play this mod...

That would be very interesting for sure. That is the game that was rly.. different in the series. I doubt we ever get around to witness an official one but who knows, maybe someone will build a HP2 custom map with that theme one day...

It IS already possible to get 100% in drawing spells
Oh yeah of course it is, we get it on "accident" in 100% speedruns all the time even though it's only required to do 95% and to pass all 4 stages 😄 I don't know what I said in the video to give you the impression I thought only the mod makes it possible but thank you for pointing it out regardless!
I got 100% in each of the spells some time ago just to hear what line of dialogue will be spoken. Quirrell's line is the same for both spells.
Yeah they didn't bother paying the voice actor for extra lines when they could just reuse the old ones I guess lol

I just played 2.0 of this it's better but glitchy it was on moddb I got stuck in in the first classroom transfiguration the doors won't open to get the grand staircase to get to the third floor for the flipendo spell challenge
Sounds like the classic "improved some things but other stuff broke while doing that"... Thanks for the info, idk if it's really worth it for me to check that out then tbh
@@Nixxo There's actually a secret area you need to open up when in you are in Transfiguration. If you cast at the pig it will open up the wall. Grab the scroll and it will start a timer and you have to cast avifors at the objects on the table like in the E3 video and the door will open. The door only opens for so long as it's timed. I can do a video on it to show everyone what to do if you get stuck.
Ohh that is actually an awesome secret, guess I have to revisit restored again!
