Yeah I agree. Its rly cool to see all the extra content in the game files thats used here even though he also made a bunch of stuff himself I think. Its a pretty cool project...
I really enjoyed watching this video. I could tell you loved the Harry Potter PC games for what they were, and you completely enjoyed this extension of the games. I too felt the entrancement and magic of these games when I was a child. The feeling I received playing these for the first or second time is something that I doubt I will experience again. Words cannot describe the amount of satisfaction I felt journeying through every single level. I feel overwhelmed with joy that there is other people on this planet that enjoy this niche game as much as I do. To that I say thank you.
Reading that made me feel very nostalgic about my own first playthrough of this game all those years back. I will never stop loving the first 3 PC games either since they are such a big part of my childhood and it's always great fun to start them up again even 20 years later...
That Open World and extra content was pretty cool
I agree, this mod had some really cool ideas and concepts! It just fell a bit flat when it's about polishing stuff properly...

Yeah its a big shame :( It also sucks on top of that that its rly hard to get the first 3 games to run nowadays and you cant get them on Steam/Origin. These games deserve more...

Yeah thats why I love this custom version of the game. You discover so much additional content that they intended to put into the game, its super cool

@Dragan Ivanisevic I think its a lot harder to create mods for PS1 games so Im sadly not aware of anything like this for those games. But maybe one day :D This map is somwhat based on the PS1 version as well in some spots (like the lava on the Hogwarts grounds)
@@draganivanisevic5182 Not as easy than for the PC. Problem is that PS1 games at the end have wired file extensions thta are supposed for the console. Second the Engine used for the 2 PS2 HP games called BRender by Argonaut games who also developed the 2 HP games for PS1 is hard to find and even then you can not simply open the files on the PS1 disc with it cause they are now in a strange format. On the PC side it was pretty simple to do that. The engine used for the PC is Unreal for HP 1 and 2 and Unreal 2 runtime environment for HP 3. Normally unreal games come with the editor but in this case the editors of the 3 Unreal games for PC was cut out to prevent the game from beeing modified. So it was not too hard to reimplement the editor into the games.

Just played this version for the first time. I enjoyed playing the levels and exploring the locations that weren't in the original games, but the version was buggy as hell and the Quidditch games were ridiculous.
Yeah there are definetly quite some big issues with this mod. I wish it would be a little bit more polished but I definetly respect the work and passion that went into this project and I like the idea...
In the Quidditch minigame, aren't you just supposed to stay in the trail of the snitch to build meter? That's how I remember it at least
You might confuse it with HP2 on 6th Gen (XBOX/PS2/GCN). It's exactly like that for those versions, on PC you have to fly as close to the snitch as you can until the bar is full

I forgot how weird the controls were for HP1. I used the mod which gives it HP2/3 controls, and it feels a hell of a lot better.
Yeah they made some weird choices with it... Not being able to cast while moving or jumping is probably the biggest mistake but at least they realized for HP2

Oh I see, I misunderstood you a bit then sry. You can still get the disc version of the games on websites like Ebay etc. There are no digital platforms around you can buy it from sadly because nobody rly holds the right for the games still. The problem is, that the disc version of HP1-2 doesnt work on Win 8 and above so you will have to download it. This server will be able to help you out for that :) discord.gg/3yCRWGE Enjoy playing!

You just download the entire folder from the creators description and start the game.exe in the system folder iirc

It's not really a demo, more of a custom map using a lot of unpublished material (mostly voicelines) from the base games files and building own level to fit the book story better. So yeah all very unofficial and not made by EA...
Too shame they cut out the voice line of Potter

I don't fully remember myself :D I think it was some kind of debug command build into the molded version of the game. You can just type them out on your keyboard while being in game (typing harrysuperjump works in the normal game for example). In this case the command was "harrykoresh" or "harrysuperkoresh" iirc...
