One day years ago I was meditating on the Cross as I was sitting in a body shop because my car had damage from an accident. As I was thinking about what Christ went through for us, a man came walking through the room singing a song. The lyrics I heard were 'He died of a broken heart, He died of a broken heart.' I was stunned. I think he must have been an Angel. Years later I was meditating on Jesus crying out from the Cross 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me???!' Then the Father explained to me that Jesus was forsaken by Him on the Cross so that we would never have to be. He took our place. ❤
The Passion of the Christ movie shows exactly how Jesus died on the cross! During the flogging scene, I looked away and cried my eyes out! Don’t know how the Romans were so cruel and evil!
First God was so pissed off at us that he killed us and every living thing on earth with a great flood. Then a short time later, he loved us sooo much he had himself brutally murdered and nailed to a cross for our sins (not his ours)? Couldn't he just forgive us? why the big show? That story doesn't say much for your god or your religion.

The details of jesus's sacrifice for me are so humbling and it makes me even more grateful for my salvation through him 🙏🏻😭😭😭

Jesus wanted to go on the cross, he could have easily brought down 1000 angles to save him
And this is only the earthly perspective.
I suspect it was knowing he would be separated from the Father that caused him to sweat blood.
