Bro, dont mistake. Iranian food is not inspired from any other country or culture. It is made by exactly ancient Iranian people. Not only Iranian food was the inspiration for other peoples but also all culture and civilisation you would see in the world came from that ancient land that is Iran. Don’t forget Iran has the biggest empire ever. And it has the first modern civilised people and government in the world. One of the best evidence is Cyrus Cylinder that the present human right is made by this. All of us are human but we need to know what we were what we have and who we are . Thanks

Very interesting to see you guys try our food by yourself... I suggest your next cheat days in an Iranian restaurant try these 5 main dishes:
    1. Ghormeh Sabzi (a traditional food most people love it if well cooked) with Salad Shirazi...
    2. Kabab Koobideh (if you're a meat lover) with onion and gas-free Doogh (i think you won't like Doogh tho it's a yogurt drink but a bit sour for the first time... and tasty for us with Kababs)
    3. Kabab Barg (I'm vegetarian but still have a good memory of this Kabab, important to be well cooked)
    4. Zereshk Polo ba Morgh (if like the chicken) with Mast o Khiar
    5. Tahchin Morgh (similar to number 4 but its shape is like a Cake)
Definitely ask for "Tahdig" (fried rice which is at the bottom of the rice pot) for any rice dishes
it's a better experience to use a spoon for the rice...
The Walnut Stew (Fesenjan) can be made in 3 different tastes (sweet, sour, or sour-sweet which last is eatable and tasty for most people including me)

Im glad you enjoyed some of the food! Im not sure if u tried the yogurt like mast o moosir or mast o khiar, but when eating the kabob, it is really enjoyable to have it with some rice, yogurt, and kabob all together in one bite :). persian food also is very different from most of the other countries in the middle east, its most similar to afghani, but honestly spicy food isnt as common in iranian food but instead to add more to the food, we eat things like the raw onion which is not spicy but can add a strong flavor like chiles might. Lastly, I hope you try maybe some of the other stews like gheimeh, i think that would be more enjoyable for someone not familiar. persoanlly, fesenjoon is my favorite but if its too sweet, i dont like it, and the flavor can be a lot for people to try the first time, most people i know dont rly like it at first

    Hey guys,
The spice you could not name in the chicken kebab and the wings is the famous saffron. It is one of the most expensive spices in the world, but us Iranians won't live without it. It has an earthy flowery flavor. You were most probably absolutely right about the lamb kebab. It is flavored with probably nothing but salt and pepper. Sometimes it is marinated in chopped onions and yogurt to tenderize it, but the most common lamb kebab has just salt and black pepper.
The eggplant dish you tried had that white sauce. That sauce is made of dried yogurt, It has a gritty texture and a mild sour flavor and some funky feeling most resembling some aged chesses. I expected you to hate that sauce, but I was pleasantly wrong!
In the green rice dish, I expect dill and fava beans, but I can't tell just by looking at it in a video clip.
Happy that you enjoyed our food!

Dear friends, Iranian cuisine is derived from thousands of years of history, Iranian cuisine is different from Arab cuisine because Iranian culture is also different from Arabs. I wish you would try Qorme Sabzi, Te Chin, Mirza Ghasemi, stuffed chicken and fish. Iran has many ethnicities, from north to south and from east to west, people have their own special foods. But the national dishes of Iran are chelo kebab kobideh, grilled chicken, Fasanjoon stew, Qorme Sabzi stew, etc. Of course, at the end, don't forget the saffron-flavored basti and sweet tea with saffron sweets. Thank you for your good taste and good luck.

Also we use yogurt. Maast(yogurt that could be sweet or sour...), Kask(tooken from milk somehow, it was the white sause on the green vegi food(kashke bademjoon)), panir (similar to turkish cheese but with way more salt.) and doogh.
Doogh is the one every foreigner expects to be sweet but is salty and sour, I think because many foreigners aren't that much into sour foods, they always cook every thing less sour in the resturants.

hi, thank you so much for this video. no, we iranians don't know coconut and we don't use it in our food. at the south of iran where it's close to the equator, the weather is like cuba, jamaica you can find certain fruits that grow in this weather condition like guava but not all fruits and vegetables.

I think the host is ment to say Middle Eastern Inspired food instead of Arabic. Not everyone knows geo-history. The gentleman look scared of the food though I would finished it quick time. Iranian food 😋 😍 is so unique. A lovely treat.

    • @marmary5555
      @marmary5555 ปีที่แล้ว +2

What is exactly "Middle Eastern" ? That's not really a culture nor a geography + every chef knows that LEVANTINE cuisine is NOT Persian/Iranian, and that North African cuisine is NOT Iraqi cuisine etc...
So calling it "Middle Eastern" wouldn't be right either. Iranian/Persian is Iranian/Persian cuisine. You don't see people trying to attach Italian cuisine to Bulgarian cuisine or Turkish cusine. Same should apply for Iranian/Persian cuisine. period.

So, you should have those wonderful chicken and lamb kabob over rice not eating them separately!! Also, please do not mixed up Persian food with Arabian food in general, different in many ways including the spices which is the main source of Persian cuisine!!!
