This video highlights so many amazing feats of middle eastern cultures that the media sadly never portrays... the food, the hospitality, and the genuine kindness. Oh my gosh! I LOVE Iranian food! We lived in Iran just before the revolution and really enjoyed our time there. The food is amazing. I had Tahchin once with a neighbor friend and I still dream of it. We had a shop down the street from us that would make flat bread in a stone oven. There is nothing more delicious than walking home with a round of flat bread (noon) that is still hot from the oven and still has small rocks in the nooks and crannies. The smell would waft through out the area. We jumped the fires on the streets at night for Nowruz threw grass into the river as we celebrated the Persian New Year. Good times.

I was born in Iran but moved to Canada when I was really young. This is reminding me so much of my grandparents. I'm gonna call them after watching this T.T
Thank you so much for the video! 💕
Also a Fellow Canadian ;) Hope you got the call through to your grandparents
Dude I'm from iran too!
I'm living in Canada too!
Dude!
Aha! I'm canadian and I've been to Iran
Hope you called your grandparents. :D
As a Turkish I really surprised that how our neighbors have that much different desserts than ours. I'm also upset about not heard of any of it. Thanks Jolly for that😗

I'm from Iran and damn never thought I see one of the channels I'm subscribed to make sth Iran related so that was rly nice 😍😍 and damn Jafar has an Iranian accent 😂
yeaa that accent 😂
Iranian sister!! Salaam! I’m really glad that they’re experiencing Iranian culture since people tend to be scared for some odd reason.
I had the same exact thought 😂

I’m Iraqi and i was so happy as well cause we serve the same dishes in our cuisine
“Jafar’s cakes” made me laugh far too much! 😂❤️
I'm Iranian and was literally eating lavashak while watching this :))))
He's so right about hospitality of Iranian people, They LOVE tourists so much and are just eager to invite them to have some tea and chat.
you should try some Iranian food too !
Omg, hahahaha. Typical.
As the years have flown by, I'm glad the lavashak culture is still alive and kicking.
Do you know which flavour the brown one on the right was?
Lucky you eating lavashakkk whole watching em promoting it
Ugh. I'm WAITING for it to be summer and my mom to make some kick ass lavashak with those summery fruits lol
@@thalibrafraudster7795 sorry, I just saw your comment. most of the time lavashak regardless of the flavor (unless it's kiwi for example) are brown. but if I had to guess I'd say it's probably sour cherry because that's the most popular one!
Imagine being an Iranian Jolly fan and randomly noticing a video from three years ago featuring Iranian food. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it... but damn now I have to go get some of these or I'll be staying up tonight thinking about them!
omg this LITERALLY happened to me right now!!! haha
he's so right though, we love love LOVE the more sour lavashaks, and its a girls thing, like lavashak is the treat your boyfriend gets you if youve had an argument and he wants to talk but wants to get on your good side first, idk why but it works on most women lol
also the halim thing is still the same you wake up late and theyve sold out and its gone :( its only served/sold in the mornings bc it takes the whole night to prepare and once its finished they cant make more until the next morning, its more popular in the winter bc of the weather
Thank you for sharing this story of your country
i love it so muuuch
Thanks for sharing! 😇
I'm not iranian but I also like sourrr snack, moreover the suck-to-eat food type
This is awesome thank you for sharing. I love hearing about different cultural foods ❤️
Although Jafar looked happy there seemed a sadness when he reminisced.
Obviously. Many Iranians were "Kicked out" of their own Country when the islamic revolution happend. It's not a easy thing to leave your home Country with 16 and not being able to re-enter it. It's the same Story with many Iranians in L.A., London, etc.
@@---zx9zf Dude they weren't kicked out, they themselves decided to leave the country, mostly because of Iran-Iraq war and heavy sanctions that have lasted for 40 years.
@@artanbehmard151 Jafar is Exile Iranian. Iranians who left their countrys because of econiomic reasons visit Iran like once a year. But especially the Iranian comunities in London, L.A., Australia consist out of Iranians who worked against the regime and had to leave their country because of that

Agreed 100%
Oh guys this meant the world! Honestly, the world knows so little about us Iranians and the fact that they haven't tasted what delicious cuisine we have is just heartbreaking. Tonight alone I went through more than a dozen videos enjoying them all wishing someone would do something like this with Iranian food. I don't know if you'll even see this comment, but as foodies, it would be an absolute missed opportunity not to taste Iranian food; don't mean to sound smug; you just HAVE TO eat our food to know what I'm saying😍😍😍

I've been to Iran and jafar is absolutely right about the hospitality of the locals! Iran has a special place in my heart since then. Will visit the beautiful country again without doubt
It is kind of a burden going through all the process of the code, and then the visa, but I'm glad I'm seeing more people talking about how wonderful Iran and iranians are.
You'll absolutely be welcomed here ⚘
we would love to have you back :)
You need to join Jafar in a persian bbq. Got to try that kobideh, jojeh and other great persian food.

im asian but hell yea they taste so good haha
I don't like meat, but Jolly, make it happen... i was happy when they did the BBQ Arabian version with Johny.I think Iranian and Arabian would have similarities
There is a shop in Chicago that serves Iranian and Arabian sweets. The owner was always so kind when I came in. We would sit, have tea and talk for hours! I miss them soooooo much!!! This was a wonderful video!
Do you remember the shop name?
So are Jafar's weekly catch ups open to anyone or what?
Yeah, I would love to be invited as well.
if it is to anyone i will be there
This video highlights so many amazing feats of middle eastern cultures that the media sadly never portrays... the food, the hospitality, and the genuine kindness. When you go over to a middle eastern home, you are always treated like royalty because it is how everyone is treated in their country... like family!! Wish this side was shown more.. thanks guys for all you do.
this comment makes me happy

Good times.
This is so true....I was blessed to be invited to a Persian home in our community and their tea is amazing. They are loyal and true, Honest and graceful. I love their culture and just am in awe of their loyalty to their families.
