Peeling fresh ginger with a teaspoon. Just scratch the peel off and it's way more economic than with a knife or peeler.

So mushrooms are actually very nutrient dense, just because they contain few calories doesn't mean they don't contain the good stuff! They are rich in both minerals and vitamins including copper, potassium, zinc, magnesium, B vitamins (including folate). They also contain antioxidants such as glutathione and selenium - however, the basic white button mushrooms you are using do contain less than most other varieties.

If you want a fluffy omelette that doesn’t seem watered down, I’d recommend taking the egg whites first and whipping them to hard peaks, then stirring the yolks with your spices, a bit of cream, etc, and then gently folding them into the whites. You cook in a large skillet with the lid on for about 5 minutes until the top is becoming firm, then plate it, folding the omelette halfway over the softer top to allow it to bulge out a bit. Most decadent omelette I’ve ever eaten~

For the best omelettes - cook the bottom through in a pan as normal and then put the pan under a grill to cook the top/expand

Okay here's my microwave hack. I get a paper towel soaking in water wring it out and lay it flat over the bowl of cold rice from 2 days ago. The steam will reinvigorate the rice

My favorite way to slice mushrooms is to use a high quality egg slicer (one with blades instead of wires)

I always half the pomegranate and then firmly tap it with a spatula over a bowl and the seeds drop out.

You don’t even need to put water in with chips, I do it all the time to even just refresh the flavor of chips and popcorn by just microwaving it without anything else. The trick is to make sure not to burn it and let it cool a bit to get it to crisp up

For the mushrooms get a wire eggslicer. The pomegranate: Cut it in half, put it in a Bowl of Water and pull it apart. No splashes of juice, and the White parts are easy to get rid of.
