it doesnt matter if your ex is dating or not, its actually good for you because if the guy she is dating cant handle her BS he will be out of the pictures to the quick. Also think about it if your relationship with your ex was toxic she cant change that fast with the new guy so its bound to go sour. Just move on and follow your life, eventually a loving person will come your way and if not thats fine because you will be good on your own.

3 months of the break up, sometimes I check what she’s doing but it’s not hurtful anymore guys, time heals everything. I thought I’d be depressed forever but eventually I know i will heal completely. Focus on yourself, this is the only life you have to be worrying about instead of someone who doesn’t want you in their life.
In initial stages of my breakup I though what the other woman has that I don't, that he will treat her better... After that crazy stage I started to realize it takes a lot if self awareness to become a better person. In other words, in majority of cases they will treat their new partners the same.

@Petros K before this relationship that I mention above, I was on a relationship for 10 years, it was very hard at the begining and when I decided I was going to give up, this other person appeared, I stayed with him for 2 and a half years, it was a terrible relationship but it thought me so many lessons, the most important one was to be happy with yourself. I know this may seem impossible now. Take a day at a time, do things for you, things you like and one day you will see everything is changed. It´s ok to still miss them. You´re going to be ok, I promisse you.

First of all I understood that my time is my life, so I only spent time on things that made sense for me and made me better for myself. So I deleted his number, stopped following him on social media (I used to look his and his gf's instagram A LOT, and *never* felt good), and made the decision to move on (he came after me even when dating her, I just felt bad for her and knew that he was not the man for me). Everytime he came in my mind and I started feeling all shitty things I said to myself: he is free to find someone that makes him happy, I wish him the best. Just like I want the best for me and I am free to find someone better! It came with time, its been 8 months, I guarantee that if you make your decisions from a place of love, your journey will be beautiful, full of healing. Give yourself time, you dont need to accept everything at once. Take good things with your experiences and let them go..
I feel that mate. My partner/wife of 18 years gave me the elbow and I'm awaiting the divorce papers. I love her as much today as on the day we married. Strikes me they wouldn‘t need or want time to *heal* (as per normal lovers in a rebound) since they never loved truly in the first place - the relationship from their perspective was all about securing and controlling *fuel* to supply their need for Admiration, Attention, Adoration, and Compliance. If you're long distance i cant see how it's nice telling you unless he knew you would find out from someone else and thought its better coming from him. It’s been about 3 weeks since my ex-fiancé of 4 years broke up with me. I was sad at first, but then then it turned into anger. There was something and I read her messages. I found out that she was talking to another guy. But... it’s weird. The messages I read stated that he had feelings for her, but... she never said anything back. Now, this guy, has.. no job, no car, a DWI on his record, lives with him mom in a trailer, and has a 5 year old son. She’s know him maybe 2 months now. Reason how they met is through a mutual friend. He knows people who sold marijuana, he was the middle man. I on the other hand have a job car etc and has treated her well and helped get her through school. The last message I read, was “ He looked through my messages and saw that we were taking about if we had feelings for each other.” She would often go and smoke and hang out with this guy weeks before she broke up with me. I automatically assumed that she slept with him and that she had feelings for him but I don’t know. Either way, I jumped the gun and told all of her family and friends that she left me and was talking to another guy. I confronted her about it a couple days after the break up because I had to get my stuff out. We lived together. She said that she has no feelings towards him and doesn’t look at him that way. That he’s trash. She said that he lives with his mom and doesn’t even have a door, it’s a blanket or something. She said that he’s beneath her. She just wanted to invest in someone else and help him... right. She told me to look at her in the eyes and said, “ I did not cheat on you during the space thing.” She also said that she wouldn’t date any of her close guy friends because that would be a slap in the for towards me. The first day I came to get my stuff she had made comments like it sucks that I have to go through this and put my stuff in plastic bags or trash bags rather. She also said I’m not going to give you any false hope but maybe in like two years or something we can see where were at. She had made several comments like that that didn’t make sense because she wanted the break up. Either way, I jumped the gun and told all of her family and friends that she was talking to another guy. Including her best friend who is a guy. He told her and she said, “that’s more of a reason why I broke up with him. It’s confusing because if she did have feelings for him and is now dating him, wasn’t I right? I knew that when I sent those messages to her family members that it would seal everything off. Now I’m having second thoughts. Once I found out about that I sent her a final that said, “ Don’t worry about paying me back, use that money to invest in someone else instead. Have a good life.” I’ve been in no contact since then. A couple weeks now. I have been going to the gym and working on my self though. Blocked her on everything. Have I totally screwed my chances to get her back? I know some will say, she left you for someone else move on etc, but the thing is idk for sure if she was really into him. I only assumed.

JD Hello. I was married for nineteen years and I walked away from my husband. He was not a nice person. I immediately went into therapy after leaving. I needed to be counseled as to why I allowed myself to suffer through so much mental and verbal abuse.I’m currently seeing a therapist after being dumped by a short term relationship. The “ dumper” and I are of different races and he allowed his friends to talk him out of what could have been a great relationship. I was upset with him for being a “coward” and giving up on us. However, after “hooking up” with him several weeks ago and him telling me that he was confused, he decided to enter into a relationship with someone of his own ethnic race. I understand the pressure that this decision may have caused him. However, as a mature woman I am choosing to move on and “slow down” on the next chapter of my story. After seeing Rory on this channel, I can let go of the, “what if’s” from that relationship as well. I’m currently perfectly happy not dating and enjoying rediscovering who I am. I would suggest that you find a good therapist to talk to and an attorney to set some things up legally pertaining to your children as well as to protect yourself. Separating from a person whom you loved for such a long time is extremely painful and it will take time for you to heal your heart and get your emotions under control. You do not need to be your wife’s friend, just be civil and don’t speak negatively of her around your children. Work on becoming a better you. Do not sit back and wallow in regrets be proactive and productive. I’m not in anyway suggesting that you did anything wrong in your marriage. However, your wife needed something that you were unaware of and by default unable to provide. Your life going forward, will at times make you feel crushed. However, keep working to make a better version of yourself. On the days that seem really unbearable, look at a picture of your children and remind yourself of the awesome person that you want to be in their lives. There are no guarantees in life, so take each day one at a time and try to be a man a whom your children will respect.

Alan 35 I’m currently in the same situation. The best thing you can do, is ignore it, and focus on yourself. At this point, look at it as you made an impact on her life. So much, that she has to fill that void. She knows now that she doesn’t want you, but she also doesn’t want to be alone, or left alone with her thoughts. Because if she did, she would realize that she played a part in the break up. Leave her be, and stay in no contact. She has to learn this lesson on her own. The grass is never greener on the other side. What I learned personally is that, if you truly love someone, give them the breakup. If they return, then it was meant to be. If they don’t, then they were never yours. Either way, use this time for personal growth and self actualization. Join a gym, find a hobby, join a meet-up group, go jogging. If need be, find a reputable dating app to sharpen your personable skills: Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, and OkCupid. Also, stay off of Social Media. Go complete radio silence. I deactivated my Facebook (never had Instagram). The more you’re a complete mystery to her, the more you increase the probability of gaining her interest. But as I said above, these tactics should not be about your Ex, they should be for you. Because if your Ex does not return, you have already laid the foundation down to find someone new.
@@Redrum9899 I'm trying my best to ignore it, I've been working on myself little by little, trying to get my mental stability back, took up jogging and spending more time with friends which does help. Ive been doing minimal contact as I still need to pick up my daughter and as we need to speak for the baby, but even that encounter doesn't go well most of the time as she just seems like she holds some sort of anger towards, even tho she's the one that done the breaking up and has been causing all the issues. She broke of the engagement and cancelled the deposit on the venue, after being engaged for three years and together for two. It was one of the darkest moments in my life. And in like your situation, my ex after couple months quickly jumped into the dating game. I was completely distraught. Which is why I left social media. She jumped into a rebound relationship that only lasted a month. Then she jumped into another one right after that one failed. All I could is stand back and watch. But what I realized, is that I was not focusing on myself. Instead, I was feeding the addiction side of my brain. What I realized is that my anxiety was taking control of me. That’s when I said enough is enough! And trust me...I know how you feel. It’s a horrible feeling seeing someone you knew for almost five years (in my case) completely change. It’s like I never knew her. Back in the day, when you broke up with someone, you would completely disappear out of each other’s life. There was no social media. Healing came the hard way. But somehow, humans (and I don’t know if this is a new phenomenon) have forgotten the art of moving on. And I think social media is a big part. But not to digress... I know it’s hard for you because you have a kid involved. But try to remain as stoic as possible. Also think about it if your relationship with your ex was toxic she cant change that fast with the new guy so its bound to go sour. Just move on and follow your life, eventually a loving person will come your way and if not thats fine because you will be good on your own.

In initial stages of my breakup I though what the other woman has that I don't, that he will treat her better... After that crazy stage I started to realize it takes a lot if self awareness to become a better person. In other words, in majority of cases they will treat their new partners the same.
In my case..he's dating. It's been more than 8 months, he's happy or at least looks like I walked away and I've been working on myself since then, focusing on my projects and blablabla. No one appears, it doesn't seem that he's going to come back. I'm just trying to live with this reality that I'll be alone. I'm fine. There are days that is very hard, there are days that I love being alone and that's just the way it is.

@Petros K before this relationship that I mention above, I was on a relationship for 10 years, it was very hard at the begining and when I decided I was going to give up, this other person appeared, I stayed with him for 2 and a half years, it was a terrible relationship but it thought me so many lessons, the most important one was to be happy with yourself. I know this may seem impossible now. Take a day at a time, do things for you, things you like and one day you will see everything is changed. It´s ok to still miss them. First of all I understood that my time is my life, so I only spent time on things that made sense for me and made me better for myself. So I deleted his number, stopped following him on social media (I used to look his and his gf's instagram A LOT, and *never* felt good), and made the decision to move on (he came after me even when dating her, I just felt bad for her and knew that he was not the man for me). Everytime he came in my mind and I started feeling all shitty things I said to myself: he is free to find someone that makes him happy, I wish him the best. Just like I want the best for me and I am free to find someone better! It came with time, its been 8 months, I guarantee that if you make your decisions from a place of love, your journey will be beautiful, full of healing. It’s been about 3 weeks since my ex-fiancé of 4 years broke up with me. I was sad at first, but then then it turned into anger. There was something and I read her messages. I found out that she was talking to another guy. But... it’s weird. The messages I read stated that he had feelings for her, but... she never said anything back. Now, this guy, has.. no job, no car, a DWI on his record, lives with him mom in a trailer, and has a 5 year old son. She’s know him maybe 2 months now. Reason how they met is through a mutual friend. He knows people who sold marijuana, he was the middle man. I on the other hand have a job car etc and has treated her well and helped get her through school. The last message I read, was “ He looked through my messages and saw that we were taking about if we had feelings for each other.” She would often go and smoke and hang out with this guy weeks before she broke up with me. I automatically assumed that she slept with him and that she had feelings for him but I don’t know. Either way, I jumped the gun and told all of her family and friends that she left me and was talking to another guy. I confronted her about it a couple days after the break up because I had to get my stuff out. We lived together. She said that she has no feelings towards him and doesn’t look at him that way. That he’s trash. She said that he lives with his mom and doesn’t even have a door, it’s a blanket or something. She said that he’s beneath her. She just wanted to invest in someone else and help him... right. She told me to look at her in the eyes and said, “ I did not cheat on you during the space thing.” She also said that she wouldn’t date any of her close guy friends because that would be a slap in the for towards me. The first day I came to get my stuff she had made comments like it sucks that I have to go through this and put my stuff in plastic bags or trash bags rather. She also said I’m not going to give you any false hope but maybe in like two years or something we can see where were at. She had made several comments like that that didn’t make sense because she wanted the break up. Either way, I jumped the gun and told all of her family and friends that she was talking to another guy. Including her best friend who is a guy. He told her and she said, “that’s more of a reason why I broke up with him. It’s confusing because if she did have feelings for him and is now dating him, wasn’t I right? I knew that when I sent those messages to her family members that it would seal everything off. Now I’m having second thoughts. Once I found out about that I sent her a final that said, “ Don’t worry about paying me back, use that money to invest in someone else instead. Have a good life.” I’ve been in no contact since then. A couple weeks now. I have been going to the gym and working on my self though. Blocked her on everything. Have I totally screwed my chances to get her back? I know some will say, she left you for someone else move on etc, but the thing is idk for sure if she was really into him. I only assumed.
Stay strong, brother. One thing I know for sure: if you really love someone, would you do something that might hurt the person you love? Our answer is no. Apparently, she is not that into you anymore. We have to move on and beleive that someone better will be there for us in the future. Hello. I was married for nineteen years and I walked away from my husband. He was not a nice person. I immediately went into therapy after leaving. I needed to be counseled as to why I allowed myself to suffer through so much mental and verbal abuse.I’m currently seeing a therapist after being dumped by a short term relationship. The “ dumper” and I are of different races and he allowed his friends to talk him out of what could have been a great relationship. I was upset with him for being a “coward” and giving up on us. However, after “hooking up” with him several weeks ago and him telling me that he was confused, he decided to enter into a relationship with someone of his own ethnic race. I understand the pressure that this decision may have caused him. However, as a mature woman I am choosing to move on and “slow down” on the next chapter of my story. After seeing Rory on this channel, I can let go of the, “what if’s” from that relationship as well. I’m currently perfectly happy not dating and enjoying rediscovering who I am. I would suggest that you find a good therapist to talk to and an attorney to set some things up legally pertaining to your children as well as to protect yourself. Separating from a person whom you loved for such a long time is extremely painful and it will take time for you to heal your heart and get your emotions under control. You do not need to be your wife’s friend, just be civil and don’t speak negatively of her around your children. Work on becoming a better you. Do not sit back and wallow in regrets be proactive and productive. I’m not in anyway suggesting that you did anything wrong in your marriage. However, your wife needed something that you were unaware of and by default unable to provide. Your life going forward, will at times make you feel crushed. However, keep working to make a better version of yourself. On the days that seem really unbearable, look at a picture of your children and remind yourself of the awesome person that you want to be in their lives. There are no guarantees in life, so take each day one at a time and try to be a man a whom your children will respect.

Alan 35 I’m currently in the same situation. The best thing you can do, is ignore it, and focus on yourself. At this point, look at it as you made an impact on her life. So much, that she has to fill that void. She knows now that she doesn’t want you, but she also doesn’t want to be alone, or left alone with her thoughts. Because if she did, she would realize that she played a part in the break up. Leave her be, and stay in no contact. She has to learn this lesson on her own. The grass is never greener on the other side. What I learned personally is that, if you truly love someone, give them the breakup. If they return, then it was meant to be. If they don’t, then they were never yours. Either way, use this time for personal growth and self actualization. Join a gym, find a hobby, join a meet-up group, go jogging. If need be, find a reputable dating app to sharpen your personable skills: Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, and OkCupid.
Also, stay off of Social Media. Go complete radio silence. I deactivated my Facebook (never had Instagram). The more you’re a complete mystery to her, the more you increase the probability of gaining her interest. But as I said above, these tactics should not be about your Ex, they should be for you. Because if your Ex does not return, you have already laid the foundation down to find someone new.

@@Redrum9899 I'm trying my best to ignore it, I've been working on myself little by little, trying to get my mental stability back, took up jogging and spending more time with friends which does help. Ive been doing minimal contact as I still need to pick up my daughter and as we need to speak for the baby, but even that encounter doesn't go well most of the time as she just seems like she holds some sort of anger towards, even tho she's the one that done the breaking up and has been causing all the issues. Its not easy when you still need to see the person that you gave years of you life to, and set up a future with. Its been 5 months and she's now on her second relationship, it just frustrates me that she will let any random person into our daughters life, even tho when we spoke about it, she said if I ever met someone she doesn't want them to be round our daughter untill I've been seeing them for a while, which I wouldn't let any random into her life anyway.

It was one of the darkest moments in my life. And in like your situation, my ex after couple months quickly jumped into the dating game. I was completely distraught. Which is why I left social media. She jumped into a rebound relationship that only lasted a month. Then she jumped into another one right after that one failed.
All I could is stand back and watch. But what I realized, is that I was not focusing on myself. Instead, I was feeding the addiction side of my brain. What I realized is that my anxiety was taking control of me.

hi Rory My ex broke up with me 3 months, i went straight in no contact and we never saw o talk to each other since last week: she started randomly watching all my instagram stories and liking my photos. I miss her but I don’t think i wanna come back with her. yesterday was her birthday and since she was a big part of my life i wished her happy birthday but with no expectations. aRushofAle you should go no contact again, but if it’s very painful emotionally I would not recommand it. I would try to get a date then and learn from the experience. Better do no contact only after the second relationship, when you learned more about women and it’s less painful.
No contact means not sending messages. Especially on holidays, death, and birthday.

He probably went back to her cause he knows it'll be easier with her. Finding someone new may probably be a long shot for him. Some people can't handle being single. My ex also broke up with me for someone else and I almost went back to my ex ex to feel better, thank God I didn't. I'm working on myself, feel lonely and abandoned and I hate this feeling. Me and my ex were together for 8 years, we recently broke up two months ago and she immediately started dating another guy. We still live together but she has been staying at his place alot during these two months. She “claims” she loves him, but she is home now and just had sex with me a few hours ago. Admittedly we were both drinking, she was more drunk than me. But she was telling me she loves me after sex. She is definitely confused I think. I know I am.
