Time to repaste my card too, the hot spot goes above 110º under load until it shuts down, like I can barely play for 15 minutes. Thank you for showing the insides mate.

I repasted with Kryonaut and hotspot now does not reach 100C! (screw the warranty :P) before it would hit fast 100C and even 110C!

to make it easier to take apart just warm it up a tiny bit by running a game for a few seconds and then powering off your computer til it's cool enough to touch

Sapphire also have really bad cooling performance on 6600XT pulse and 7600 pulse as well

hi, have you ever measured the thickness of the memory chips thermal pads? is it the same with the VRM's at 1.5mm? i just want to change the paste but just in case i ripped the pads i want to know the thickness

Do you know what height of thermal pads the powercolor graphics card needs?

You have to specify the model, but right side memory is 1.5mm and the rest with power mosfets is 1mm.

I was doing everything as is but the fan connector would not come out and the cables ended up coming out of the connector and the connector remained connected to the card. Now what can I do?

Just put back the connector the same orientation. It should work fine, just be careful not to bend the pins, while plunging it back.

1.5 thermal pads are okay for this gpu?
I have a serious problem
Changed thermal paste and temps was good for a month.. 69 for gpu temp and 85 for hot spot
After a month temps goes very high
75 for gpu temp and 95 for hotspot
So i want change thermal pads if it fix temps

VRMs are 1.5mm yes. But use a good quality ones like thermal grizzly or so.

The card is used for mining. Accoyyo the customer the temps under load was above 100 and powers off. After the cleaning under load works around 80.

Usually there is nothing complicated to remove few screws and clean the paste. But after all you do that on you own risk. What exactly happened, if i can help somehow.

What is this? Why are you doing this? Why do you install new paste when you leave the old thermal pads...

Thermal paste and thermal pads have nothing in common. Paste dry faster, and if the pads are one piece, you better not replace them with cheap stuff.
