Props to Linus for not just building such a solid team, but for building out a media empire which has managed to show the different talents of each of his staff members. Techlinked was a stroke of genius and it has made me far more likely to watch a video that isn't presented by a familiar face. I think Linus is well on his way to having a media empire which is set up where people don't even know that Linus is a person's name rather than a brand, much like when people say Apple I don't think of the fruit

I remember when 1080p sounded like the most insanely high resolution. I grew up playing games that were 240p/480i and I remember viewing 480p as a luxury. Then the whole 720p vs 1080i debate came along of which was better, but then we got "full HD" at 1920x1080p and I remember feeling that it was just an incomprehensibly high resolution. Now it's seen as pretty much the bare minimum standard and disappointing. Maybe I'm slow, but it's still a jarring concept to me. Maybe I'm just getting old.

The RTX 3060 is 390€ and the RX 6600 is 280€ (Dec 2022) in Germany. So for the price tag you even can't afford an RTX 3050 (320€). So I think the RX 6600 is faster as a RTX 3050, is cheaper and has less power consumption.
Also its unfair, that you say that FSR 1 is much worse than DLSS2. Its is. Its much older. DLSS2 is working only on Nvidias newer GPUs and FSR2 on almost any GPU also on AMDs iGPUs. For me: I can play No Mans Sky on my GTX 950 with FSR in 1080p. It looks like a compressed video at 900p. But I got 50-60fps. It looks much better as FSR1 (wich is flickering a lot) and much better and faster as 720p native where I got 35-50fps.

If crypto currencies are not banned internationally, the graphics cards will also be bought away by the miners in the future. Why? An RTX 3090 is currently at $ 3000 because the card is worthwhile for the miners at the current prices. Gamers have nothing to do with it anymore, it's a miners market. When the crypto prices rise, all graphics cards get even more expensive until the last gamer no longer buys a card. At this point, however, PC gaming will long be dead. More and more manufacturers of peripherals and game developers are simply dying due to the ever lower demand. The consoles and, in the long term, the cloud gaming industry will take over these market shares. At this point, graphics cards have long been just an investment product to earn money with, for then probably over 10,000 dollars a piece.

Whatever the case, it will be sold way higher than MSRP and being hoarded by Miners, as the hashrate/power is quite good I heard.

Just bought one of these here in Brazil. The price for performance is great. It's priced the same as the 3050 and it perfoms the same as the 3060

Não tô muito afim de dar dinheiro pra NVidia e penso em trocar minha RTX 2060, será que essa gpu vale a pena fazer essa troca?

One point about old Graphiccards: You have normaly to factor in an aftermarket Cooler Setup in the price and some worn out powerconvertors so no OC on that Hardware.
I sold in April not long ago a Vega64 with worn out powerconvertors, my nephew had it before i sold it and he run it on OC. I told it the buyer and advised to run it on standard setting. But the powerconvertors did make noises when running on OC, which they didn't before on standard she is fine and still working. The Fans were okeyish but not so great after 3years. I assembled a lot of aftermarket cooling solutions on GPU's after 3-4 years semi professional and it improved the cards and then they worked a long time. So i recommend looking into a decent aftermarket Solution for Ebay GPU's or get replacement fans from the manufacturer. Atm we have to live on the Cards longer then we used too, the silicon manufacturer already said that 2022 will be another year of chipcrisis.

I have a Radeon R9 390 so I'm trying to snag one of these at the moment as I can only do 1080p at the moment but I wouldn't mind having a better 1080p card. The cost isn't great but I'll take what I can get to get some improvement.

A 10880 Ti is a great last gen card for productivity. Powerful enough for any productivity tasks you need, 11GB of memory, and made of top-tier silicon so it should last a while yet. I got an EVGA edition for my art workstation pre-3000 series launch for like $240 granted, but still a good choice if you can stomach $400-$600 today and NEED something that works.

Question: Since AMD Drivers are open source, does the community help in increasing the performance of those drivers on Linux, and is AMD able to translate those optimizations to Windows?
