    I've had it 11 years
    Accepting it has helped me so much
    Watching what I eat
    I find getting out walking helps me.
    Don't let tinnitus control your life.
    Take control of your tinnitus. The first two years with tinnitus i thought my life were over.
    The buzzing in my head were so loud.
    At night I couldn't sleep. I would get up at night and run just as fast as I could.. but now it doesn't bother me at all. I go to bed and sleep 💤 like a baby! Most of all learn what spikes your tinnitus.
    Over Christmas 🎄
    I really set my tinnitus off and I mean over the roof.
    It's took me a while to bring it back down. And I'm enjoying the peace and quite! May God bless all who suffer from tinnitus!

      I guess a fitness diet is a good optinon, lots of vegetables, fruit, chicken, turkey, rice

    I’ve watched almost all of Julian’s videos and as busy as he is when I first got T he immediately replied to several of my emails because as a musician I was worried I would never perform again. He assured me I would and he was right.
    I love that Julian covered most ALL aspects of T whether noise or physical trauma, stress, etc. This was one of the most comprehensive videos I’ve seen from Julian. I’ve read many people say just watching him made their T immediately go down. His calm, healing energy certainly pours through the video screen.
    The only thing NOT discussed was certain foods that cause inflammation, like sugar, salt, alcohol and that exercise like yoga, Qi Gong, walking gets the blood flowing and helps reduce inflammation.

    • @LukezyM
      @LukezyM 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’m a hobby producer and I’m wondering what did you do, or what measures did you take to reassure yourself, that the music making won’t worsen your hearing? Do you just keep the volume all the time in check, so that it doesn’t go over 60-70db? Do you use any kind of decibel metering device, so you got the speaker loudness constantly in check? That is at home, where you can regulate loudness, but what about when you’re performing live, where you can’t lower the volume, do you use any kind of ear plugs/volume filters?

    • @melodyebuskin5490
      @melodyebuskin5490 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LukezyM I use musician earplugs when on stage. They’re called EAROS One. You can find reviews on TH-cam. I tried about eight different earplugs and liked these the best as they were the most comfortable.
      A few people I met online also discovered that tight neck muscles, fascia, and childhood trauma all correlate. Trigger point therapy can help. I use a massage gun to release tight muscles and roller balls. Fasting, non-inflammatory diet and exercise also reduce T by lowering inflammation.

    I enjoy watching both of you speak and glad to see you collaborate. I find a great parallel with my meditation in that I need to acknowledge the tinnitus but let it go and not focus on it. I also like the thought of trying to remove negativity from your life. I have tried to help others to experience the relief that I have but it can be very difficult to get people to let go of their tinnitus when it is really bothering them. Also, some people almost seem like they do not want to let it go. For me, I am thankful that I often do not hear my tinnitus and when I do hear it I am able to easily dismiss it. I thank you both for all of the positivity and good work you have done for the tinnitus community.

    I have tinnitus for over 6 years (turning 30 years old in a month) I learned to live with it as it was just a 'woosh' sound. A few weeks ago it changed to a horrible 'peeeeep' sound. At the moment it is taking over my life.

    Great advice Julian. Like any other "fear" the fear of your tinnitus begins to back off when you face and accept your tinnitus. Then use things like meditation if helpful. Try to live as normal a life as possible. Most of all DO NOT SURF THE WEB AND LOOK AT NEGATIVE, SCARY THINGS OR SUDDEN MIRACLE CURES. (capitals deliberate). Acceptance is the first and most important step along a journey towards improvement. Its not like taking a pill. its a process but advice like this from Julian and Ben is positive and effective. I had it for the first 8 weeks 24hrs a day, it included periods of pulsating horrific waves of it that I was certain I was dying, had permanent nausea and dizziness also for the entire first 8 weeks. I have never been so debilitated or frightened.
    Ended up at the emergency room for a Ct scan as the wait was weeks for referral.
    Nothing found except a slight sinus issue.
    Still waiting for ent referral, it’s dulled slightly, the nausea has gone thankfully, but I’m petrified the intense pulsing will return and dizziness, it’s truly awful, I tried masking which made it worse for me, only listening to normal videos etc slightly helps.
    It’s utterly miserable.
    I even found my body vibrating while I tried to sleep at it’s worst, and the pitch in one ear becomes higher at points.

I was a professional musician, and although I always used to protect my hearing with earplugs, I still got quite bad tinnitus. When I started intermittent fasting I noticed a decline in it after about two weeks. And now nearly 2 years on my heart is 98% better I would say, and my tinnitus has dropped around 40% which was a nice bonus.

    I agree with what Julian says about calming oneself and not centering life around tinnitus, but as far as ditching the maskers, perhaps his tinnitus wasn't as bad as mine. Some people have just god awful tinnitus and I don't think they should be made to feel bad, or they're not getting over it because they can't live without the maskers. There's just no way I can ditch my maskers because my tinnitus is SO. BLOODY. LOUD. My maskers are what help me get through the day to ignore my tinnitus. Does that make sense? Or am I missing something here? I think Ben is more on the money about this.

We know where those frequencies are , how intense regarding to daily mood. And ,as far as that problem , relaxing , going to nature, listening to sounds of wind in woods, birds, rivers and other HIFI sounds, can help on daily basis....

      Come today. I changed my diet, and I'm doing yoga and exercise. Learning Neuroplasticity, meditation, and grounding.

      Still long ways to go.

If there is no negative reaction coming from the nervous system does this mean the Tinnitus sound still exists but we react differently or does the sound itself cease? I went back to some foods when I’d go out to eat but at home I just stay off dairy, carbs, sugar, salt. May have a shot glass or two of wine with meal. You can find food substitutions in Whole Foods or Amazon or your grocery store. I don’t like stevia or erythritol but monk fruit in certain foods is healthier and has no aftertaste.
      You can find foods made with almond or coconut flour; of plant milks the healthiest I’ve read is Flax milk and is more environmentally friendly, fish like salmon and cod, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, drizzled with olive oil. I may have cashew yogurt for dessert with a few berries for sweetness. I also use Choc Zero which is a maple flavored syrup made with monk fruit with no stevia or erythritol.
      When I do eat things like Choc chip cookies ( my fave), ice cream, pizza I don’t have any major spikes if it’s occasional but if it’s consistent I do notice the noise gets louder. Carbs (convert to sugar) n sugar n salt cause inflammation which inflames the nervous system and makes T worse. Coming off these foods if sustained long enough from what I’ve read allows the body to heal because inflammation keeps the body in a non healing state.

    A bug got in my ear over 25yrs ago and damaged the hairs. Then working construction as my career.. Loud tinnitus ever since. I know I'll be dead if I'm awake and hear nothing.
