Best console of all time IMO, and also IMO the best console generation. The SNES had Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Final Fantasy, etc. while Genesis had Sonic, Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage, Gunstar Heroes, etc. Even the Neo Geo and TG16 had some awesome games! Long live 16-bit!
The soda thing definitely played a part in it. My uncle worked at a Nintendo repair shop and they had a pile just for consoles covered in soda and food. If you ever sat on the floor or a couch with your NES next to you, you would see how good of a drink table it would make.
I've also heard more than 1 repairmen/support team had to tell people that the slide-out cdrom trays on computer towers were _not,_ in fact, coffee mug trays. Basically, if it CAN be done, someone somewhere has tried it. Results aren't always pleasant. (Remember the 'don't use lawnmower as hedge trimmer' warning stickers? There's an injury behind that.)

Upon further research I discovered that the SNES was launched in Australia in 1992, not 1994. Mattel handled distribution (as they had with the NES in PAL regions) until 1994 when Nintendo Australia was established, they took over from there. Just thought I'd add that.
My SNES provided me with sooo many hours of fun! Loved Super Mario World and All Stars. Got TMNT4 for my bday and played it so much. The mode 7 made the hoverboard stage way better than the arcade plus the Shredder fight before getting sent back in time was a very fun fight not in the arcade. Made better sense than getting zapped in time in the sewer. Yoshi's Island was another great game made possible by Super. FX2. Mario RPG was my introduction to JRPGs and was so fun! Street Fighter ALPHA 2 was another game I played to death. Great day was when I picked up Zelda for $15 new at Wal-Mart. I also had the Super Game Boy. Loved it and lots of use of it. The one SGB designated title I had was Mega Man 5. A great Mega Man title that gave us a lot of new stuff like the Stardroids and the Mega Arm. Something I had to protect my games were these clear blue cases my mom bought from the clearance bin at Wal-Mart. They had the SNES logo foil stamped in blue.
Definitely the nostalgic console for me, Link To the Past, Mario World, Street Fighter II Turbo, Toy Story, Aladdin, Super Punch Out, Mario Kart...ahhhh memories
Adam I swear man your memories about these systems are very similar to my own. This SNES vs Genesis will always be my GM favorite console war. I was always in the SEGA camp too in fact I was that one kid that had a Saturn. I remember seeing it in Toy R Us and I begged my mom to get it for me she did of course but as a Christmas present. Ahh the memories
Star Fox was actually called Lylat Wars in Australia and Europe. Not sure if anyone else has pointed it out yet, but I thought I better chip in. Great video as always.
I always wondered about these purple buttons on the american SNES controller, because (at least in my mind) there was always this conection between the early Super Nintendo Games and the colours on the controller. Green, Red, Yellow, Blue Yoshis, Mario with a red cap, blue overall, yellow cape (on a green Yoshi). Link wearing a green, blue or red coat in Zelda-ALTTP, F-Zero with a gold, pink, green and blue hovercars.
I actually knew some kids that put their drinks on top of their PS2s and original playstations. Thats why those systems ended up sticky and shorted out. I was the poor kid so when i got the super Nintendo from the thrift store in '97, i took care of it like i do with my HD tvs today. Now my prized possessions are my Dreamcast and Original Xbox. Even though I use my Halo edition 360 as my main source of media streeming device. All systems in great condition.
torres3800 My Virtual Boy is a prize mantelpiece, same with my Atari Jaguar. The Virtual Boy I got 4 years ago for around £150 and the Jaguar complete with 2 games boxed with manual + Instructions for around £65. Scored Aliens vs Predator for £20 Boxed though albiet in bad condition. The best thing out of my Atari Jaguar collection was a factory sealed Iron Soldier copy, I believe that these things should be played so I unwrapped it. Got it as a birthday present.
torres3800 i have a ps2 and xbox, i love both, and are in great condition. They were both in good condition, i got both of them from friends. The xbox was given to me for free tho.
My first system was a Super NES, so this was a great video to watch. I remember my 6th birthday, walking into my bedroom and seeing the console hooked up to my TV, with a little bow on it. I think I played through Super Mario World all the way through before I actually put it down for a second. Great memories brought back by a great video, thanks Adam. ^_^
I always wondered the same thing as well about "why not a Mega Game Gear?" I only recently found out the Genesis was not capable of running it because they made one upgrade to game gear from a master system...a higher color palette, higher than the Genesis in fact. If there were a work around in a cartridge adapter, it probably would have been cost prohibitive.
Your videos are great! I've recently started collecting old games I lost over the years, remember liking or that I know are desirable. I'm gonna get Diddy Kong's Quest tomorrow since you speak so highly of it and I've never played it.
AdamKoralik Ahh so it's just a matter of expectations. K thanx. I wasn't trying to be bitchy btw was just curious because I seem to be the only one who pronounces it like the label. :P
As usual Adam, it was very fun to watch and very informative. It reminds me when I was young and the only time I was seeing my cousins was during the christmas time. We never had real activity together other than playing with the amazing SNES, oh boy, I can already feel the nostalgia. Trying to get the first level when you are 6-7 years old was quite an exploit back then.

Hey Adam, I live in Australia and got my Super Nintendo in 1992, we’re not that backward lol. Loved it and played it to death. Great videos by the way!
Man, I had a Nintendo Power subscription when the first DKC came out and they sent me a promo VHS out of the blue. I got so hyped over it I sold my whole SNES collection (including FF6, Chrono Trigger, Mario Paint, Super Star Wars and a bunch more) to Funcoland to buy that game and the strategy guide. Beat at 101% in like 24 hours. Greatest disappointment of my young life. Was a very good lesson about getting on the hype train but at such a price... ;________; So, yeah. I can't even look at a DKC game without my stomach turning.
I do love this video series especially for younger people like me. I grew up with the Nintendo Gamecube being the newest console and I do love gaming history and this channel is definitely the very best place to learn everything about gaming history! Keep the good work up man! I really appreciate it! Greetings from Germany :p
Great video Adam! I'm in the process of making a home made DVD collection of your reviews to watch on TV. Yeah, that's how fucking awesome I think you are. But just to clarify some things, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System came in Australia in July of 1992 (not 1994). And the Genesis (Mega Drive) couldn't support Game Gear software because the Game Gear had a higher colour pallette than the Mega Drive Genesis and the Mega Drive Genesis could only display a total of 64 colours on screen. But as you know they made the Genesis backwards compatible with the Master System software instead and also the Game Gear could support Master System software aswell via a converter.
Couldn't they have just stuffed all the hardware for Game Gear (including graphics to circumvent color limitations) into a cartridge, then pass the video signal through the Genesis' video out? I'm pretty sure that's what the Super Game Boy (and later Game Boy Player) did.
Hey Adam, I'm a huge fan. Thanks for all these console retrospectives and I really enjoy your discussions! To be honest I accidentally watched your why the Nintendo consoles is never powerful video and I've been watching your videos since then. You literally got me back into gaming after a nasty break up LOL. Anyway thanks again and keep up the awesome work!
Yes I remember being so jaleous of europeans that could accually drink coke while playing and I couldn't. I remember being so thursty while playing my snes and there is nothing i could do. What a let down nintendo.
I like the NA snes design, not better than the original but rather cool in a odd way. The carts are much better however: the high point is definitely the spine labels which are not on the super famicom or Pal carts. That was annoying.
As a kid, I never owned the SNES since I was born near the end of the 20th century. In a way, I wanted one mostly for Super Mario World. It was the first Nintendo game that made me love Nintendo, and persuaded me to own this console. Unfortunately, me being the four year old, I couldn't remember what the system called was then. All I remembered fondly was the gameplay, and the iconic tunes lol. Luckily, got a N64 w/ some games from GameStop back in the day. Quick question, is it worth purchasing the *New* 3DS XL that just came out recently. I've had my DS Lite since 07, and I'm not too sure if it is worth the purchase (PC gamer here..) Lastly, are you able to do a recap video of the handhelds that came out from the previous generations? It'd be awesome.
ben owen I agree. The Sega Mega Drive/Genesis 1 and 2 model ( my favorite being the second model) is the better looking of the two systems. Hell, compared to even modern consoles, it still looks pretty good, but the Super Famicom definetly looks good. I don't know what Nintendo of America was thinking.
I watching all your recap videos again and I'm loving this and the megadrive ones, I feel "at home", that's my "native generation", if that makes any sense. my first console was atari2600, I had a nes, judging by age I should say I'm from the late stage of atari2600 and nes is my native generation, but I feel that the 90s snes vs megadrive console wars was "the main event", I was old enough to fully enjoy it but young enough to still see it with some kind of magical awe. the ps1 and n64 generation happened "too fast" or I already was big enough that it didn't have the "magic of childhood", when people talk about their childhood memories with ps1 (or even ps2!!!) I'm like "huh?? what???? but childhood is nes and snes!!, ps1 and ps2 are new!"). what I mean by "too fast" is that when gamecube and ps2 came out I was like "huh? what? but ps1 and n64 are new! they just came out last year!!...huh? it's been like 5 years already? huh??". oh, I haven't felt the "magic" in years, the last two console generations are "meh", I think ps2 and dreamcast were the last "real consoles". I think everybody has a "native generation", the one that was the "main one" for them at a certain age.
I just found a great looking one chip SNES. Didn't work. Opened it up and it was full of sticky dried brown liquid. Parts had corroded. Why people do the things they do I don't know but how do you spill soda in your SNES... WTF.
***** Too bad the Bucks are playing the Bulls, they're my second favorite team. But since they're playing my favorite...go Bulls. But, the Bucks are going to be amazing in a couple years, mark my words.
SNES is my favorite console. So many absolute classics. It was a fun time growing up with the Sega vs. Nintendo wars. I got the console a Christmas mainly because of of Street Fighter 2, which is awesome, but my parents were nice enough to also include a game that I did not ask for and did not know about at the time: Super Mario Kart. Super Mario Kart has since become my favorite game of all time.
chrono trigger is maybe the best snes game and one of the best games ever. if it wasn't for deus ex 1 on pc I'd say chrono trigger is the best game ever!
I still can not believe how ugly the US SNES is. It's like the SNES PAL/Super Famicom is one of the most beautiful consoles ever and the US version is one of the ugliest. Smh
The Sky God Content every day Makes his subscribers feel like their part of the show, which helps to give it longevity The size draws attention, leading to more people finding it His detractors are like free advertising as they mention his name on a lot of videos, bringing attention of him to people who would've avoided him And other reasons.
My favorite system of all time. Great vid man. I started building an SNES collection of years ago. I've picked up some of those games over time, including Super Mario All stars:Super Mario World, Star Fox, and Might Morphin' Power Rangers. I might have to look into that Michael Jordan game.
Back when I was in high school, N64 was already out and finding SNES games in Blockbuster and pawn shops for dirt cheap was easy. There was a guy that would buy them and play them, then offer to sell them to me for cheap. He was making a profit. He sold me Chrono Trigger and Earthbound for $25....combined. I thought that was kind of cheap and I ask him “so why did you sell those games to me for so cheap?”...He said “oh I still made $15 off them, I paid $5 each for them”....Now, imagine getting either one of those games now for $5 for either of those games. Sadly, I didn’t hold onto those games for too long myself...back then, we didn’t know those games were going to be worth what they are now....
Was looking forward to this one Adam, good coverage. Still my all time favourite system. The British PAL one, letterbox and 17.5% slower and all. Loved it.
14:00-14:08 This was exactly how I felt when the Gameboy Player came out for the Nintendo Gamecube, so I bought it right away to play Gameboy (Original and Color) and Gameboy Advance games on the big screen. That blew me away when I was a kid.
@AdamKoralik I had no idea you knew Rich from review tech man! Awesome I enjoyed your guys' chat on his channel and of course enjoy everything on your channel especially your generation recaps. Very entertaining and informative, lots of stuff I never knew anything about. Love the vids man.
The Super Nintendo came out in Australia in 1992, same as Europe. I know this because our family got a Super Nintendo back then. But our model was the Mattel model and if you have some of the early game releases on the SNES in australia, they also carry the Mattel logo.. However Nintendo Australia took over in 1994 and that's when we got the Nintendo Super Nintendo. I assume that's where the confusion comes from.
Hi Adam I just wanted to say I like your videos and Its nice to see take a trip down memory lane and learn something new at the same time id like to get my hands on some older consoles good work keep doing what you do
YEah.. Me and my brother both had the Genesis and the SNES. We like both of them and played the hell out of both consoles. I, myself, played Street of Range 2 a lot. It's actually my favorite on the Genesis... and still is to this day.
To understand Toy Story's rights for development, we must get to development of "Mickey Mania". Disney wanted a game to celebrate Mickey's 65th birthday, so they asked to Traveller's Tales to make a game for the Sega Genesis, since their team was known for good work on the hardware. Later, the game was ported by a single guy for the SNES. (that's a reason for the Genesis version having more levels, since some of them was not feasible in the Nintendo hardaware without more time of develpment) After the success of Mickey Mania, they planned a sequel. But with the Toy Story movie in the horizon, Disney canceled the sequel so that Traveller's Tales could instead focus on developing a game based on the film. Again, the SNES was a port, missing some levels and getting a really small resolution for the first-person level.
I really like your videos! I moved to PC gaming a while ago, and would never go back because I love the freedom and flexibility inherent to the PC platform but I like your videos anyway because consoles are a hugely important part of gaming history.
I loved the SNES, I remember my brother getting one and I ended up getting a Sega Genesis. I loved them both! I also really enjoy these retrospective videos and hope you go back even to the 3rd generation.
I got so excited for 7 year old you while you were talking about seeing a new Mario game at Best Buy, thinking "oh it's gonna be RPG Seven Stars!", and then fart, Mario is Missing
New subscriber. I just want you to know that I love your videos. I appreciate the time you put into making them for us to enjoy. Keep up the good work!
These gaming Videos are very educational. Good video this was a awesome Console and I can remember playing it when I was younger I mostly played super Mario world, some wrestler game and donkey Kong 2. I Soo regret selling the super Nintendo if I could go back I would have never let it happen.
They made adapters for the PAL SNES to allow it to play NTSC games. You had to plug a PAL game into it as well, probably for the lockout chip. There's still some on eBay.
Zombies Are My Neighbors, Shadowrun, Zelda, SMW / All-Stars and DKC (1 for nostalgia, 2 for the better game) are my SNES favs. Much like my Starflight top 5 favorite Genesis games pick, I've only met 1 other person to put Shadowrun in a top SNES games list. As an 8 year old, the open world of Shadowrun was mind-blowing.
The SNES is fascinating to me for a lot of reasons. It's actually capable of doing a lot of things most people didn't even think was possible. Just recently people have made adapters for the SNES that allows you to play Sega Genesis and GBA cartridges on the system. One guy on TH-cam managed to design a cartridge with a special chip built-in that allows the SNES to do Full Motion Video. He was playing Road Avenger on the SNES to show as a demonstration that the SNES can handle Full Motion Video. But what was even more amazing is that the video quality on the SNES looked way better than the original Sega CD version. If that chip had been invented in the early 90's that would've gave the Sega CD a run for its money. Although it could've been way too expensive to produce at that time. Awesome video man!
To be fair the genesis adapter for the snes as emulator on a chip. It's like one of those plug play console. So the snes is really only handling the Controls. Though the snes is a very powerful system. So not trying to bash it or anything.
***** Very interesting information and thanks for sharing that. I love hearing stuff like that. Remember that the Sega CD had the same color restrictions as the Genesis so it makes sense that such a demo of FMV would look better on the SNES. I've seen and heard about some similar feats done on the Genesis such as ways to play back PCM audio at a quality the Genesis is not known to do and various tricks to get several channels of sample playback even though it's only designed for one channel. I think the same multi-channel trick has been done on the SNES as well. I recently heard about a mod to the Genesis version of Street Fighter 2 Special Champion Edition to improve the scratchy sound samples. As Krow Strife pointed out, those adapters handle all the processing with the SNES only handling controls and providing power. You may already know that, but many others don't. It's still a cool option for people who want such a thing.
Love your videos Adam, one thing I'd like to see is game play clips in the corner so I can see what the game you're talking about looks like. Also I hated super Mario kart as well, probably because I was into road rash at the time and that was always more fun to me
Gotta love this system, it still has the best games in my opinion. Nice video again, Adam, even though I never got the love for DKC2 myself. To be honest, I never even managed to get past world1 there, DKC1 and 3 on the other hand were just too amazing for me.
I remember a stupid rumor as a kid that if you touched the sides of the cartridges of SNES games you'd damage the game. I remember always avoiding touching the sides for that reason. You ever hear any of that? And I know you already know, but one of those crazy things Sega did was the reverse of the Super Gameboy by making an SMS Game Gear adapter. I have one and it's really cool, mostly because I can pause it with the start button. Thanks for the video. Great as usual.
The soda can story is sorta true. I've been to my local Nintendo licensed repair center in my youth and I vividly remember seeing workers in the back cleaning off the sticky soda and sugary milk (from bowls of cereal) from many NES motherboards. That and NOA not being partial to the Super Famicom design is why they redesigned the Super Nintendo.
The Super Famicom still looks futuristic. Its like an 80s synthpop song that still sounds beautiful, slick and modern. The american SNES looks like my dads beloved 87 Oldsmobile.
I know this is an older video but I just found it and I love how your genuine enthusiasm for the console shows throughout the entire video.
Thanks for watching!
Spryte-WiiMix agreed. And it was fought with games. No Netflix no live streaming no DLC just games.
Neo Geo 24-bit 😏
6th gen is the best console generation of all-time
Agreed. Best console generation in fact.
The soda thing definitely played a part in it. My uncle worked at a Nintendo repair shop and they had a pile just for consoles covered in soda and food. If you ever sat on the floor or a couch with your NES next to you, you would see how good of a drink table it would make.
Troy Dietz That's a real shame. :(
AdamKoralik Oh, and with your Super Metroid issue. The japanese version has an english option. (and a significantly lower price tag)
Troy Dietz Tempting...but I try not to do that with games that were released in my region.
I've also heard more than 1 repairmen/support team had to tell people that the slide-out cdrom trays on computer towers were _not,_ in fact, coffee mug trays.

Visitors From Dreams The N64 version used that name, while the SNES version used Starwing in the Pal regions.
Rhansley C Ah, I stand corrected. :)
Visitors From Dreams Star Wing in the Netherlands actually.
Visitors From Dreams mines called starfox... straya...

Beat at 101% in like 24 hours. Greatest disappointment of my young life. Was a very good lesson about getting on the hype train but at such a price... ;________;
So, yeah.
Greetings from Germany :p
iM UNiK Thanks for watching, greetings from the US!
Nice to see that you have painters tape end lables! That video made my shelf look empty! Haha great video adam! Look forward to more!
Hey Adam, how do you actually finance your collecting?
Working perhaps?
Probably had a job and makes a small bit of cash on the side from TH-cam.
Anyway thanks again and keep up the awesome work!
xlouielulux Thanks for watching!
Yes I remember being so jaleous of europeans that could accually drink coke while playing and I couldn't. I remember being so thursty while playing my snes and there is nothing i could do. What a let down nintendo.
This was my very first console and I still love it. Only have 6 games for it though. And half of those I never had as a kid.
I like the NA snes design, not better than the original but rather cool in a odd way. The carts are much better however: the high point is definitely the spine labels which are not on the super famicom or Pal carts. That was annoying.
Novabug Yeah, that label thing is a real plus. But I would have prefered plastic cases like on the Genesis.
Same here. What was it with Nintendo of the card boxes? All the way until the cube.
@@Novabug paper was cheaper than plastic?
Great video. Super metroid is one of my favorite games. Found a copy three weeks ago at a pawn shop for $7.
Joe Skelton Dude, congratulations, that's a score!
I've had my DS Lite since 07, and I'm not too sure if it is worth the purchase (PC gamer here..)
Lastly, are you able to do a recap video of the handhelds that came out from the previous generations?
It'd be awesome.
Nicomanism he’s not much of a guy for handhelds, I wish, but no. I suggest a Switch now, best if both worlds
You and Rich again, nice. It's like watching a crossover from my two favorite TV shows.
crsmelee Glad you liked it!
Japanese/European Super Nintendo is still the best looking game console of all time. Timeless machine, well designed and shaped.
Fight! K.O!. That was quick haha.
ben owen
I agree.
YOu're right. It had very smooth timeless lines.
I'm glad you mentioned the Toy Story game, that was one of my favorites as a kid. Turtles in Time is still a favorite to this day.
Australia always got screwed. Oh there was an F-Zero game on Nintendo 64?! Yeah of course we never got it.
10:24, that's pretty awesome. My first console ever was the precious Sega Dreamcast that, thanks to you, looks absolutely beautiful through VGA.
:)
Saiga GeneCast Glad you like it!
AdamKoralik Like it? I love it!
Just like you, it is my favorite console of all time.
:)
1994? what the hell nintendo. What did we Australians do to you
I watching all your recap videos again and I'm loving this and the megadrive ones, I feel "at home", that's my "native generation", if that makes any sense. my first console was atari2600, I had a nes, judging by age I should say I'm from the late stage of atari2600 and nes is my native generation, but I feel that the 90s snes vs megadrive console wars was "the main event", I was old enough to fully enjoy it but young enough to still see it with some kind of magical awe. the ps1 and n64 generation happened "too fast" or I already was big enough that it didn't have the "magic of childhood", when people talk about their childhood memories with ps1 (or even ps2!!!) I'm like "huh?? what???? but childhood is nes and snes!!, ps1 and ps2 are new!"). what I mean by "too fast" is that when gamecube and ps2 came out I was like "huh? what? but ps1 and n64 are new! they just came out last year!!...huh? it's been like 5 years already? huh??".
oh, I haven't felt the "magic" in years, the last two console generations are "meh", I think ps2 and dreamcast were the last "real consoles".
WTF.
So the "soda-proof" design conspiracy failed then,eh?
I love this series you got going on. Feels like i'm watching episodes of a show.
CloudStrife893 Glad you like it.
2:40 Nintendo always thinks people are *REALLY* stupid
this is is awesome. love your videos they bring me back to my childhood, and information wise your on point. keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching!
***** Sorry, what?
***** Oh, because people would freak.
Hell, some did anyway.
***** Too bad the Bucks are playing the Bulls, they're my second favorite team. But since they're playing my favorite...go Bulls.
But, the Bucks are going to be amazing in a couple years, mark my words.
1316Killer Fraud : Shrugs. :
***** Appreciated.
+AdamKoralik Picked up a brand new Sega Dreamcast last year... still haven't opened it. :)
Super Mario Kart has since become my favorite game of all time.
ummmm....... Chrono Trigger?
TThePatient I don't have it. I'm not much of an RPG guy to be honest.
gotcha
AdamKoralik Same here.
chrono trigger is maybe the best snes game and one of the best games ever. if it wasn't for deus ex 1 on pc I'd say chrono trigger is the best game ever!
That Mario’s Missing story is pretty heartbreaking..
I still can not believe how ugly the US SNES is. It's like the SNES PAL/Super Famicom is one of the most beautiful consoles ever and the US version is one of the ugliest. Smh
The SNES mini looks better then all
Thanks for the info on the internet capability! I don't think anyone else has gone into the level of depth that you did about that feature.
AgentMoler Oh dude, there's way more detailed videos out there about it. Thank you never the less.
Why is it that pewdiepie makes shitty vids and has like 30 million subs and you make good vids and have 50,000. Faith in humanity destroyed
The Sky God People don't want to watch a 30 minute video about a nerd talking about the good old days of the SNES. I can't blame them.
The Sky God Content every day
Makes his subscribers feel like their part of the show, which helps to give it longevity
The size draws attention, leading to more people finding it
His detractors are like free advertising as they mention his name on a lot of videos, bringing attention of him to people who would've avoided him
And other reasons.
AdamKoralik I actually do. I enioy videos like that.
That's awesome my first console and game that I ever played were the SNES and Super Mario World too. AdamKoralik
My favorite system of all time. Great vid man. I started building an SNES collection of years ago. I've picked up some of those games over time, including Super Mario All stars:Super Mario World, Star Fox, and Might Morphin' Power Rangers. I might have to look into that Michael Jordan game.
Randomark3087 Thanks for watching! The Jordan game isn't great, it's just super weird.
Quite simply the greatest console of all time from the golden age of gaming.
My first console. Been a nintendo fanboy ever since!
Loved it.
Novabug Thanks for watching!
Very cool video I love both systems and now seeking to have them again soon.
hateut Thanks for watching!
Watching in 2017 and this is still good
You finally got your Super Famicom! This is an awesome video.
IgoByaGo Oh I've have a couple for a couple years now. Thanks for watching!
14:00-14:08
This was exactly how I felt when the Gameboy Player came out for the Nintendo Gamecube, so I bought it right away to play Gameboy (Original and Color) and Gameboy Advance games on the big screen.
Raymond Hernandez Thanks for watching, both my stuff but also the video we did together.
Hi Adam I just wanted to say I like your videos and Its nice to see take a trip down memory lane and learn something new at the same time id like to get my hands on some older consoles good work keep doing what you do
Paul Ferris Thanks for watching!
your welcome
(that's a reason for the Genesis version having more levels, since some of them was not feasible in the Nintendo hardaware without more time of develpment)
After the success of Mickey Mania, they planned a sequel. But with the Toy Story movie in the horizon, Disney canceled the sequel so that Traveller's Tales could instead focus on developing a game based on the film. Again, the SNES was a port, missing some levels and getting a really small resolution for the first-person level.
That Satllaview sounds amazing. I’ve heard of the Zelda game. Very ahead of its time
Man your story about Mario's missing. Loved it.
My favorite console of all time. And A Link to the Past is my fav game of all time. Great video.
+George Nelson Thanks!
Finally! It's always nice to see a new generation recap video.
***** Thanks for watching!
I really like your videos! I moved to PC gaming a while ago, and would never go back because I love the freedom and flexibility inherent to the PC platform but I like your videos anyway because consoles are a hugely important part of gaming history.
Yatrik Shah Thanks for watching!
I loved the SNES, I remember my brother getting one and I ended up getting a Sega Genesis. I loved them both! I also really enjoy these retrospective videos and hope you go back even to the 3rd generation.
DvdXploitr Thanks!
Keep up the good work!
gamer197730 Thanks for watching!
I bet the AVGN would love how the sattellaview uses one power supply and it uses a cord not the box thing
They also made one that didn't need another game, called a 'super key'. I had one to play Chrono Trigger and FFIII in Aus.
Adam young lad, I'm going to use the first five seconds of your videos as my ring tone. Great attitude man. 😉😁👍
Great video man I still have my Super Nintendo I still play it to this day
426MASON Thanks for watching!
Enjoying the series so far Adam! Interesting add on attached to the famicom. Looking forward to the snes cd/PSX :-)
GRUSS Newton I'll be talking about that during the CDI video.
***** Thanks for watching!
Thanks for showing us the Satellaview, can't have been cheap also another excellent video.
tsangpogorge Yeah, wasn't fun to buy. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos Adam, one thing I'd like to see is game play clips in the corner so I can see what the game you're talking about looks like. Also I hated super Mario kart as well, probably because I was into road rash at the time and that was always more fun to me
DKC 2 is my all time favorite game.. I feel great knowing you saved it for last haha
Great as usual.
ccoplien Can't say I ever heard of that.
Thanks for watching!
14:05 funnily enough, they did the exact opposite! There was an adapter to play Master System games on the Game Gear🤔
